Paint Creek State Park reviews
25Good accessibility and pretty clean and well kept. Plenty of parking and places for activities other than fishing. I go for the fishing though. I recommend it to everyone.
Paint creek was very nice I tried a different location to fish the time hoping for better luck. Fish were NOT biting. I did pick a bag trash from previous fisherman. I try to leave any location BETTER than I found it. I fished the Rattlesnake arm of the lake between the boat ramp and the Rt 758 bridge. It seems to me Paint creek is better for sight seeing I've got friends who fish there often and have better luck I am specifically fishing for catfish. Every time I've went to fish the spillway it's be too HIGH that'll be my next fishing spot at Paintcreek my friends have better luck there. But they are pan fish fishing. I myself am specifically fishing for catfish Blues and Flatheads which I don't THINK there's a high population of either maybe more location specific locations for the w spiecies in the lake and I just haven't found those locations. I know the spillway is supposed to be panfishing and some channel catfish to. But to who go and those planning on going to Paintcreek take your trash bags with YOU IF you PACKED it in pack out STOP trying to burn glass and aluminum cans I'm getting tired of picking AFTER you.
Clean up after yourself I not YOUR mommy or daddy! SO PICK UP YOUR TRASH AND A LITTLE EXTRA FROM THE SLOBS THAT WERE THERE BEFORE YOU!
PEACE OUT CLEAN UP ENJOY THE PARK!
It has a wide range of woods that you can take relaxing hikes in. Even a campground that you can stay for up to a week or 2! Would highly recommend it.
One of my favorite places to camp. Any spot you pick there is good plenty of space at each camp site. Shower houses have great water pressure. Looks like they just put in a brand new kids play ground. Always have a great camping experience camping at this place.
Very crowded campground and the only one left was in full sun. No water at the sites, electric only. Price is right.
There weren't as many activities as usual this time, but we still had fun. We call it our home away from home.
We used to have beautifully taken care of state Parks, very sad the way everything is taking care of here, very dirty and trashy, our state used to have very nice state Parks like our neighbors states, we outsource everything in this state and it all goes to crap
Love camping at Paint Creek each year. My husband and kids love the disc golf course. Sometimes they drive there just to play disc golf.
Had a great hike on Little Pond trail. Stopped at visitor center and talked with one of the gentlemen from the corps. He was very informative and pleasant to speak with.
We go for the disc golf course. Lots of fun. 21 holes. Some more challenging than others. Holds water after a rain.
Great place to camp. And Big Daddy buggy rentals delivers rental golf carts to your camp site. Nice custom street legal golf carts.
Great Ohio state campground. Nice lake, large camp sites, friendly staff. We come here every year and have never had a bad experience.
I love it here. It is so beautiful. We stayed 3 weeks in July. This is our favorite camp ground to stay at.
Nice place for a stroll or a hike. Beautiful scenery. Great for camping, fishing or kayaking with the family.
Paint Creek state park was very nice we was close to the bathroom an showers, was able to take our dogs an bicycles:) an have campfires at nite an watch an hear the wildlife
Great camping experience, very clean restrooms, very nice playgrounds around the park and in campground and wonderful park staff. Would definitely stay again in the future.
Went camping here with the family, and the campground was beautiful!
Great sites, nice amenities, clean grounds. Will definitely be back!
One of my favorite places to camp. The campground is clean and quiet; staff friendly and informative. There are plenty of things to do: disc golf, bike and walking trails, swimming, boating, fishing and a great place for picnics.
Always enjoy camping at paint creek although it is only a short drive from our house. The employees are very nice and friendly & professional, as well as the camp hosts. All ways clean and very well maintained.
Would be a five but a few years back they took out the bathrooms and showers. Porta-pots only and they were a bit overused today.
