Panda Wok Asian Cuisine reviews
20Really good food, big portions, we and fast service for take out. Also very reasonably priced. The general tso's chicken comes with the usual delicious chicken, but also fresh veggies like onions and bell peppers which are an amazing surprise. This is my new go-to Chinese restaurant.
One of my favorite Chinese places to eat. The Sushi is great, their fried rice is some of the best around & the food is always huge portions for a good price!
The food lacked flavor and there was a nice little surprise (hair) inside of our crab rangoon. I feel sick to my stomach
I'm sad to write this review. Panda Wok was my absolute favorite Asian cuisine spot. I easily spent $55 a week, but the food now is so disappointing and I won't be going back any time soon. I had it last night and couldn't let it slide again. This is the last time. The general tso's was incredibly runny and tasted sour. There were somehow little bits of rice in it, and it wasn't a combination plate so I don't know where that rice came from. The Singapore noodle was super dry and the only flavor was the curry. The samurai roll was fried way too long and was almost inedible. And please take the word crab out of your crab rangoon. It's all cream cheese and literally nothing else. I only live 3 minutes away, I came at the exact time I was given and the food was freezing cold when I got home. I understand that covid changed a lot of things, but don't downgrade the quality of your food while also raising the price. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because it was great in the past. With as much disappointment as I have had lately, it honestly deserves one star.
Great food very different from other chineese and asian places very fresh and delicious very recomended.
Amazing lo mein noodles, egg rolls, and sushi. My boyfriend and I got takeout from them recently, and it was a lot better than expected.
Ive had singapore noodles all over the country. Panda Wok is the worst Ive ever had. No taste, No flavor.taste like raw noodles. This chef needs to learn how to prepare Asian food.very disappointed. They used to be very good.
I ordered 2 egg rolls, beef fried rice, spicy lettuce Wraps, and wonton soup, which were all tasty. I also ordered a lager beef Lo Mein which are my kids and husband’s favorite but it was extremely sweet. Not edible. The chef must have confused sugar for salt? For the price, I am hesitant to try again.
Woman who answered phone was rude and argumentative. She kept talking over me and not listening, just assuming things. It wasn't worth dealing with for the food
Tried panda wok yesterday for the first time and was very surprised. The seaweed soup was very helpful for my upset stomach. Although there is a ton of sodium in their food I enjoyed it very much.also got the szechuan veggie dish which was very good. Staff was very kind. Would definitely recommend
My favorite Chinese takeout in town! Great general tso and lo mein! I’ve gotten it twice this week lol! Service is fast and staff are very sweet!
I did go there very close to closing I ordered 3 egg rolls, 12 ribs, 2 orders of pot stickers, Terrakyi chicken sticks, Chicken Lo Mein, grandkids loved the LoMein Ribs super tough so I put them in the instant pot at home for 10 minutes and then they were tender, pot stickers filling good actual dough very heavy and to much dough, I Air fried egg rolls to crisp them up Filling was fair needed to be seasoned chicken on sticks very tough but sauce was excellent total bill 63.00 I tipped 10 percent I would of tipped more but it was my first time In all 2.5 stars yes disappointing but people were nice.and the condiment bag had Lots of stuff that is extra and they forgot pot sticker sauce.
Like I said I did go late so I might give them another chance.
They were polite and had amazing customer service. They delivered the food in a timely fashion and the delivery man very kind. My husband said it was the best general tsaos chicken he has ever had! We loved all of the food and will be ordering again!
I ordered crab rangoons, moo shu chicken and the Panda Dynamite shrimp. The moo shu chicken mix leaked allover everything. It was good though. But, the shrimp! I was expecting hand breaded shrimp because, well, they put their own name on the shrimp. No, no. It was clearly coconut shrimp, and the same exact coconut shrimp I can get from Aldi's up the street. Now, I like coconut shrimp, but the dynamite sauce is not good with it. And the duck sauce from the crab rangoons just didn't mix well. Coconut is not part of Asian food typically because coconuts don't grow in the Himalayas. Shoot. I am disappointed. If you put your restaurant name on the shrimp, it better be your own. That's not right. Highly disappointed. Could have saved $10 if it at least said coconut shrimp. I wanted Chinese food.
It would've been 5 stars if my sushi actually included the sauce on top or even on the side, but instead I had to go to the store and buy some
The food here is always stellar and I have never had a bad meal. This is my go to place for the general tso chicken meal
Update years later- still friendly staff. But the Crab Rangoon is hollow with the smallest amount oh filling. Bought them twice thinking the first time was a fluke.it wasn't.
Based on my experience:
Pros-Friendly staff, nice ambiance, awesome variety of vegetables in the veggie fried rice.
Cons-Fried rice was a bit overcooked and left a burnt taste in my mouth. My veggie delight had an 8 inch black hair in it that i discovered when i was plating my food. (My hair is blonde so no chance it was mine)
Overall very unsatisfied with Panda Wok, wont be going back.
Unassuming store front but awesome food and people. Compared to the other Chinese places on 117th, this one is way better. At the time of this review, the dining room is still closed. General Tso’s is solid.
A step above average.very good.pad thai is amazing along with special fried rice.medium heat.fantastic. I would definitely recommend.walrus
A staple in the area, they offer delicious sushi and satisfying takeout. They offer large portions especially the combo platters that leave you with lots left over.
