Food quality for the price was not worth it nothing was seasoned ordered wine and didn't receive it

Love this place. Food is always excellent! Tried the cashew crusted trout with honey-lemon drizzle for the first time.delicious!

Friend have my birthday party there with my friends had a really good time a wonderful waitress and great food!

White French dressing, yum! Lobster bisque and lasagna, excellent! Service, wonderful! 8 out of 9 in my party had never been there and they all loved it.

Love this place. Old school, excellent food no matter what you get. Bartenders are friendly and make you feel that they want you there.

I'm from Youngstown, my nanny was from Sicily and I'm very picky about the Italian I eat. In Youngstown if you use store bought sauce it's an uproar lol. Since living in Akron the past 2 years this is the only thing that compares. I make my own sauce but am almost always to lazy to make Alfredo. The only issue I have here is the same with almost all Italian restaurants.no Bracciole. I'm always too lazy to make that lol

The chicken marsala and buttered noodles were fantastic. It came with marinara, but I thought buttered would be a better compliment to the marsala sauce. Also, the portions were nice. The waitress was very attentive. She continuously filled our water glasses. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

We love this restaurant. My husband and I think they have the best steak in town - not overly seasoned and great cuts of meat. All of the food is really good, sometimes the staff seems to be a little short depending on the crowd. Definitely a good place for dinner.

City Barbecue is a place where they serve a feast size amount of good meats that has a great atmosphere also it has covered outdoor seating

Old school Italian eatery that has chosen to forgo all the fads. Everybody on the wait staff has been here forever. Best calamari in town.

This used to be our favorite Italian restaurant, but since they stopped making their sauce in-house, we just don't feel the same about it. Red sauce is such an integral part of all our favorite dishes, and it lost the fresh, tomato-y sweetness it used to have. We still go once in a while for the seafood, but the salad and bread are nothing special. We like the ambiance, and so many of the long-time servers are great people - but when we crave Italian, we no longer crave Papa Joe's.

Good portions and tasty Italia-American food. Menu limited somewhat. Service good but not outstanding.

The food was very good, service seemed overwhelmed but they were trying. It's a pretty cramped place and not very accommodating for children. The food was very good though and the staff was friendly. Definitely more of an adult venue. I recommend trying.

I was told of great meals here. I was a bit let down by the the over cooked split in half penne pasta and watery sauce.

Went there for a rehearsal dinner and the food was really good, we had the lasagna. The decor could use some updating and there is a weird smell but overall pretty good.

Wow! The Italian restaurant is a real jewel! The prices are fair. The food is delicious! The portions are large. The staff is friendly and professional. Reservations are highly recommended for this location off the beaten path, but venue stays busy, busy, busy! This is a great place for a special date with a beloved or even a large group or party. I look forward to returning soon. My mouth is watering, just thinking about it. [Hehehe. ]
