Peking Restaurant reviews
18This is the worse Chinese food we have even gotten. We had to throw it out, $50 down the drain.
Used to be really good. Just not that flavorful anymore. We should have ordered from China Express.
I hate leaving bad reviews, but as someone who checks reviews before ordering from somewhere, I feel that I need to warn others so they don't make the same mistake. Kids wanted Chinese, so we said okay. Ordered the usual - lo mein, general Tso's, and sweet and sour chicken for myself and the kids. My wife and son ordered the chow mein. Got it home and there were no noodles in the chow mein. Mein is literally the word noodle. It was cooked romaine lettuce, bean sprouts, and celery. It was so terrible they didn't eat it. From seeing other reviews after, figured it was pointless to complain to the restaurant. The crab Rangoon was also terrible. No creaminess to the filling, which was dry and bland. The rest of the food was okay, but overall not a good experience.
Egg foo young was delicious!
And FYI Thomas Marolt, Lo mein has noodles, not chow mein.
DO NOT order from their website. Twice now we’ve waited an hour for our delivery to call and hear they “didn’t get it. Sorry. ” No resolution. No what did you order we’ll rush it. Nothing. I think I am done Peking. It was never great food and now no longer convenient.
I just had the worst meal ever. Everything was tastless and dry except for the lo mein which was delicious
Nothing here is terrible or excellent. It's very consistent, and reheats well. It's a safe choice for Americanized Chinese food.
Edit:
I upgraded to 5 stars because the most recent time I ordered from here the food was noticibly better. I get the fried dumplings and boneless spare ribs, and they were both even better than I remembered. I'm pretty sure they changed how they make the dumplings. They were quite a bit different than I remember them being, but I like these new ones better. And the spareribs seemed higher quality.
Tried this place yesterday and it was pretty decent. The shrimp toast was good! Mei Fun needed more meat and veggies, but still hit the spot. Going again to try a few things mentioned in the reviews.
Best Chinese food in Lakewood, OH. Mongolian beef was tender, high-quality, and flavorful. The steamed dumplings were perfect. Well done, folks.
Been here 6 times now. Have tried a bunch of different things. Consistently good every time. If you need a Chinese spot. This is it.
Love the food here. Rice thats actually wok fried. Their "chicken sticks" are so good. I can eat too many!
Solid Chinese food. No bells and whistles. Also not completely fresh so 4 stars selling frozen food.
Favorite place to order chicken fried rice. Food is always amazing. Egg rolls are excellent. Always fast and friendly service. Always return to order dinner.
UPDATE: Went recently again and Ta-Chien chicken extra spicy spice was great! Upgraded to 5 stars.
A good Chinese takeout place, nothing special, but good prices and not too greasy. The garlic chicken is my favorite of the lunch specials. They also once misunderstood me over the phone on my order and made something else, but they quickly fixed it and gave me the right thing for the price that they stated on the phone.
I ordered egg foo young with vegetables-added tofu. Delicious. Price is right. Friendly and fast.
The worst place I've ever ate! We ordered $40 of food, and every dish was mostly onions. Half of what I got was onions. There was next to no flavor. And when I called, they didn't care. If you want to have a horrible experience, come here they won't let you down!
Could not live without this place during the COVID-19 outbreak. They are fast, cheap, with decent Chinese food at a decent price. Follow all CDC guidelines and are very accommodating.
I hate to give negative reviews, and although I (use to) love their food and the convenience of them being super close to me.the last 3 times I have ordered, they did not include the egg roll in my combo meal (pretty much the purpose of ordering the combo meals is to get everything in 1 simple order) and last night I would say my meal was mediocre, at best. Pre-Covid, things were more efficient and tasty. Assuming they took a hit, like a lot of small businesses.but may I suggest taking the combos off your menu, if you don't want to include the entirety of the meal? I hate sounding like a "Karen" but also dislike not receiving what I thought I was ordering/paying for, on multiple occasions. (To be fair, I called 2 out of the 3 times to report the missing in action egg roll, and they brought it to me.but gave up calling this 3rd time, its getting somewhat mundane).
