Penn Station East Coast Subs, Mentor OH

This place is way over priced for what you actually get. I ordered a cheese steak with both grilled onions and raw. Didn't get them and was made wrong, I got my money back, and left!

As fast food goes, sandwiches are good and made to request. I dislike looking for a parking spot to enter store, especially in inclimate weather. Order, pay a lot of money, sit and wait. Not the most efficient system for me.

Penn station is my favorite sub place. Personally nothing so far has come close to taste and service. I made the mistake of getting it to go once, I much prefer fresh at the table.

Very good subs done right each time! Really tasty and quick! Place my order online and run by to pick it up! Very simple!

Don’t bother ordering ahead to have it ready by the time you get there. Food was cold and I stood there staring at my already made and paid for subs for 10 min before someone acknowledged me. If I could give them zero stars for customer service, I would.

Food was good. Not sure what I personally did wrong though. Walked in, was not acknowledged, while everyone after me got a nice warm greeting and asked dine in or take out. I was picking up an online to go order and after several people got their items, I looked and could see mine sitting getting cold. I then pointed out my order and got looked at like I was a big inconvenience.

Stopped by the Location across from Walgreens in Mentor. Lovely New shop. No one was eating in. All the seating is hard, the only padding is the backrests on some of the booths. I tried the Teriyaki Chicken sandwich with mushrooms and onions. Being a Rookie at this restaurant I didn't know what to ask for if I wanted the veggies on it too, I needed to order it "East Coast Style". The food and Service were average. It was nice they do their fries fresh. Their cost was slightly higher than their usually visited competitors. I forgot my coupon from the local mailer and the cashier didn't offer to extend that discount even though I mentioned that's what brought me in. Everyone in my party said the food was okay but the competition was better. This is the new Penn Station on the east end of town so I will need to visit the more experienced one on the west end of Mentor and see if their food and service is a little better. They got me full, but not enough Yum!

Very good service and food. The manager was great and it reflected in other staff. It's good to be greeted. That does not happen as much as it should these days.

The mentor location near Starbucks had a awesome cashier he had light skined and knew how to up sale and just really hospitable so rare these days I did give him the compliment in person buy just awesome employee that man knew what he was doing!

First of all I love their food! Second their customer service is amazing! I put in an online order and got there and realized I sent it to the other Mentor location ‍️ and the manager was so sweet and had his awesome staff make me my order again and even called and canceled at the other location for me. Literally this was all on me and they went above and beyond for me during my mess up!

Fries are pretty decent. Lemonade is decent. Had the club grilled and I was unsatisfied with the amount of meat and the narrow bread. The sandwich costs $12.49. I am well aware prices everywhere are not what they should be, that being said I compared the price of this sandwich to a competitor of the same kind and you get a bigger sandwich.length and width and more on the sandwich and their sandwich is $11.99. I am confused how that many people are satisfied with dinky, skinny, under filled sandwiches. This is not what I expected or find acceptable.

Mentor is the place for subs. You got Jersey Mikes, Firehouse, Diabellas, and Penn Station. Penn Station is the best in my opinion. Go get yourself a cheese steak and you will be in sub heaven.

Worst service. Such Rude employees. Too bad for them. Went across street to Jersey Mike’s.

Everyone is always so super friendly! I love it! My favorite sub place. Very cute and sweet guy you have working there is always so happy!
