Penn Station East Coast Subs, Columbus OH

Ordered the chicken parm, it was not very good. The chicken was very salty, and tasted old.sauce almost non-existant. Took one bite and decided I was done. Ate the fries they were hot fresh and made fresh.

Order did not include the fries I paid for or the correct bread for my sandwiches. I've also had the artichoke sandwich dozens of times and their version is soooo underwhelming. The place also looked closed so it wasn't even clear we could pick up orders.

I have never written a review, bad or good, but, today I was highly disappointed. I first stopped at chipotle (it is my go to) after working 2 different jobs today which totalled 16 hours. But, they were closed early due to only online ordering. So I stopped at the Penn Station which was right next door. (this is the bethel location). I stopped in there at 9: 50pm and they informed me they already turned off the grill and were no longer serving customers. I understand that they probably also have had a long day and want to go home but you cannot refuse customers before the time that you close especially if you haven't locked the doors yet. It wasn't like I came in right at 10. They still had 10 minutes and could have made me something. I know it was last minute and I apologize but that gives them no right still. I don't close the doors early at my job just because I'm tired and want to go home. Looks terrible for the company. I'm very disappointed and won't be back which is unfortunate because this was my first time going to a Penn station and I was excited to try something new since I was very hungry and tired. Oh and I forgot to mention the fact that the store was very dirty despite the fact that they were refusing service before closing time and when I walked up all they were doing was standing in a little group and talking. So if you are going to refuse service before close then at least be doing something other than standing around talking. Oh and despite being disappointed I still told them "okay and have a good night" and they said nothing at all.

I ate a delicious "late lunch" on 7-20-2023 at Penn Station East Coast Subs at 775 Bethel Rd.

My plan for that afternoon had been to eat at a nearby Vietnamese restaurant but I learned when arriving at that Vietnamese restaurant that they are open for "dine-in" eating only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

So I walked around to the other side of the building and found Penn Station East Coast Subs. Having eaten in the past at another location of Penn Station East Coast Subs, I had known that their food would be delicious.

My food choice had been a "Classic Italian" sub: smoked ham, hard salami, pepperoni, provolone, mayonnaise, lettuce, red onion, banana peppers, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, oregano, and Roma tomatoes.

My food at the Bethel Rd.location of Penn Station East Coast Subs had been delicious; the service had been friendly and helpful.

No fries due to power outage but but philly cheesesteak made with mustard! Super gross, cookies not sweet. Worst lunch ever

Staff was very friendly and the food was very good. It wasn't very busy inside so I would have expected it to be a little bit cleaner on the inside.

Came in later in the evening the seemed to be off their normal routine oy 2 people in store eating and 3 working all in the same area but the young man on register seemed new had some issues ringing up an order to be placed the cook was busy didn't help him and again it was slow but we ended up waiting an extra long time for food we were tired and hungry so just waited.

Listed closing time is wrong. Door was locked at 9: 18pm on a Wednesday. Supposedly open till 10 according to the print on the door.

Delicious subs. However, even the best food experience can be tainted by having a hole burned through your wallet.

My full size sub, medium fries, and medium drink cost $20+. That is restaurant-grade prices, in fact some restaurants are even cheaper than that. (Olive G still sells $8 unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks). So I'm not going to accept the excuse that times are tough for Penn Station, and they have to charge this to stay afloat.

Will I be back? Certainly not as much as I would like.

Food always great but they dont answer the phone a lot. I work across the lot and place pick up orders but cant always get thru to them. Today they answered then hung up on me and the phone went to voice mail for 10 minutes. So thats the only thing.

I’m usually a fan of Penn Station. But today just wasn’t their best service or food. The customer service was horrible. There was only 2 people working; I understand but they failed to acknowledge customers that was patiently waiting for service. Secondly, I would like to have my steak meat cooked throughly, which was not. I’m extremely disappointed.

The larger set woman (she wasn't wearing a name tag or else I'd use her name) completely ruins this penn station for me. I've never felt such an attitude every time I come in here as if the customers are all out to get her. I have given this place many chances but the way she talks to customers never changes. I would take her off any front of house positions if I had any say here. She makes me feel bad just for ordering and even being here. It's a shame.

Good place to stop for a quick bite. Friendly service and attentive, food was fresh and made to order. Do recommend.

I called ahead to place my order so I can get to work in a timely manner. When I got there they had not even started cooking my sandwich but the sandwich itself was delicious they need to do better with timing.

The service is always fast, friendly and served up hot and fresh! When it comes to a hot grilled sub, this is my favorite place to eat!

Hand to cancel an order because the online system routed it to the wrong store (Bethel Rd) and the still did not reverse the charge to my account!
