Penn Station East Coast Subs reviews
18 Partner and I are regulars. This location is so much better than the one on Marie in Middletown, therefore it’s worth the extra distance. On several occasions, Middletown gives almost no meat and mostly toppings.
At Monroe, they know how to make the meat and toppings proportionate. The subs are always delicious. The fresh cut fries are pretty amazing too.
I recommend the chicken teriyaki. My partner recommends the classic Italian.
The workers are very kind. Nice calm atmosphere. Place is kept clean. The service is fast. The food is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the chicken teriyaki and the fresh cut fries.
They were able to make me the artichoke on a bed of fries (due to a wheat allergy), and it was insanely delicious! Thanks again guys!
Service at this location is terrible. On multiple occasions I've had missing sandwiches and online orders are never on-time (typically 15+ mins late). Don't worry tho, they will give you an IOU for the missing sandwiches; no Gift Card, no GrubHub delivery, not even a refund. Drive back up to the store to claim your verbal IOU.
Yesterday I tried Penn’s Sub for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. I was craving for a sandwich and found this restaurant near.
I got fries and 2 subs.
The fries are not bad, they need a lot of improvement.
For the subs I got:
- A veggie sandwich: it was really nice. The bread was fresh same as for the veggies. Next time I would change the sauce I chose for it.
- Classic Italian grilled: I got it without the ham and it was delicious. I really enjoyed it.
I need to highlight: the fresh and soft bread, the generosity of the ingredients and finally the affordable prices.
I am craving it now! I can’t wait to try new subs and I highly recommend try this place.
Food was horrible I’ll never eat at this location ever again worst sun ever it’s all minors at this location
Employees closed the store 30 minutes early and ignored us when we knocked on door since they were supposed to be open.
First time at any Penn Station Sub. Was having a working lunch meeting as requested by customer. Was curious why they picked Penn Station but glad they did.
Ordered the Cheesesteak. Fresh, hot, and tasty. The bun was crusty but not hard. Right amount of flavor.
The fries were crunchy and crispy. Great food, quick service.
Note about their cookie. It’s good. Just note that it is a LOT of calories. 130 for a quarter of the cookie. Guess it should be a top issue when having cookies but it’s a lot for such a small bite.
Great new place to go. Employees all very friendly. Easy to get in and out.
Plus the FREE Tuesday cookie is the best.
I was witness to a unsatisfied customer. She waited a long time for her food and others who ordered before her received theirs first. She was told twice, that it would take X amount of time and both times her meal wasn't ready. Instead of apologizing, offering her a refund AND a gift card for the inconvenience.they were argumentative. Other than that, the food was good. They just need to work ontheir customer service skills, communication AND they need to hire some help. Btw.she never got her food.
I was there to visit the dispensary next door and decided to have lunch here food was severed fast and hot. I am all about presentation with over 1.5 million views on my profile I don't take pictures of food unless it looks good and test good. I asked for no salt on my fries and they followed my instructions. I wish my Penn station in Columbus was as good as this location.
We waited in the drive thru from 5: 20 until 5: 40 for our order that was supposed to be done at 5: 23.
I went in to find out what the hold up was, and was told they were "working on it".
I just asked for a refund.
Never again!
Friendly and quick service. Fries came out a little cold and soft but the sandwich was delicious. Cheesesteak with onion mushroom and mayo. Bread was perfectly toasted and so so good
Love penn station bur this location has issues. Went in today they made 2 of our 3 sandwiches. 35 minutes later and everyone in line behind us got their food and we were still waiting. They gave one of my sandwiches to someone else behind me meanwhile our first 2 are sitting on the counter getting cold. I tried to explain to the employee that we have been waiting for our Third order but he could not understand what I was trying to say. Then while making the food he didn't make it correctly I asked if the Italian came with onions and tomato he said no but the menu says they do. So finally we received our order. Everytime we go to this location their are issues but we have never had issues at other locations.
I went here 5/8 at 8: 40. The gentleman and lady working were very kind and accommodating! The food was fresh and they were so quick!
Today, businesses are struggling for help. It is employees like Kimberly who keep places running. We were traveling through and decided to stop for dinner. This young lady had tickets hanging non-stop. She was on the grill, she was at the drive-thru window and pretty much doing it all! Kudos to her and I hope her employer appreciates her! She had 2 young gentlemen working with her, they did their best as well to keep up.
Just had lunch there. The Philly cheesesteak and fries were really perfect. Wife and I will be back.
Clean, friendly and wonderful food. On Tuesday’s when you eat in you get a free mini cookie. I love that!
