Petco, Columbus OH

I've been trying for 5 days to get a hold of somebody at grooming to set up an appointment for my dog, since online booking hasn't been working. I keep getting the voicemail, promising that I'll receive a call back within the next few hours, and leaving plenty detailed messages to get back to me. Twice I've called customer service to see if they're even taking new appointments, and they keep telling me yes, and I'll receive a call back by the end of the day, even taking down my information by hand to pass on to the grooming department. Each day passes by with no call.

I’ve been very patient, I know that they’re very busy and they might not get around to calling everybody back every night, I get that. But I’ve been calling for almost a week now, simply trying to set up an appointment, no matter how far out it needs to be for their busy schedule. The very least I’m owed is a call back.

I usually have such a great experience at this location. The employees have always been helpful, kind, and knowledgeable, but this experience is grinding down on my last nerve. I’m sure they’re just as tired of me calling every day as I am. This simply isn’t worth all the trouble, and I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Looked on the internet and it said it carried turtles. My daughter called all of the stores located within a 45 mile radius and they all said they dont carry them. Please take it off your website then and do t waste peoples time.

This store is awful only come here if you are desperate. For starters they are always out of everything — if you need a harness for a dog or specific food it’s a waste of time.

To top that off the customer service is really lack luster the employees are zero help.

Grooming is a JOKE. They have cancelled my dog's appointments countless times because "she was put on the schedule of someone who's not working" or "the groomer who was supposed to take her didn't show up for work". Today I arrived 15 minutes late, which I totally acknowledge was my mistake. I got attitude for the groomer who argued with me that the appointment was at 1045, and clearly on my text from Petco says 1100. I called the store to see if I could still bring her in, but as almost always happens, nobody answered the phone. The groomer begrudgingly agreed to still take her but said it would be an hour until she could get to her. I decided to take my business elsewhere. I will never step foot in that store again. Do yourself a favor and take your pet somewhere else. Literally anywhere else. Unless you're fine with a having your appts cancelled or rescheduled about 60%of the time. In that case, this is the place for you!

A great pet store. They will honor prices you find online if they are lower than theirs. Very pet friendly. You can bring your four legged fiends with you. The employees really love animals. The girl we had doing our dog training classes was great! Pumbaa and us all learned a lot!

Got a betta fish there and have gone back several times to get supplies. The employees are friendly and answer your questions well. I like the atmosphere.

Keeping Phish in glass cages man. They just desire to roam free man. The conditions these Phish live in, wound my already black hollow soul.

It has a large variety of fish and pet keeping supplies, I would not recommend buying reptiles from them because of the way I have seen them be treated. I would recommend doing research about animals before purchasing them from Petco because the information given to employees there is not always correct, and doing research about animals before you get them is very beneficial for your sake and the animals.

Great place really friendly, and has plenty of options wen it comes to pet improvement, rather it's diet, home, or just comfort for you, your pet or both

This isn't usually the store that we use. We needed some cat food and we're close by. Pets in and out of the store all day or at least I would assume so. This place is very clean. Found the food that we needed and at a great price. Staff was friendly and we checked out and we're on our way rather quickly.

Fish were dying cats looked miserable. If I could I'd of adopted all of them and set em free! Id never shop there and don't.

I like this location except it can be cluttered with items. There are items that could've been put on sale.

Super friendly staff. Overpriced products for the quality and never have what I am looking for, but I can't justify rating less than 5-stars.
Also, if you're looking for something that is at another Petco, apparently they cannot order it to that store.just an FYI (at least that is what I am told by staff)

Petco basically has everything that you could need to take care of animals such farm animals.staff is friendly and you can generally always see a cute puppy or Kitty while you're in there as well as look at other fish and birds. They have all sorts of stuff you can get crickets for your lizards worms you name it they probably have it. Also they have a grooming service in the back for your puppy if you want that.

Our dog Hallie has now taken level one and two with Jessica (the resident dog trainer). All the staff are very friendly and I cant speak high enough of Jessica. She is just wonderful. She is patient with the dogs (and their people) and always uses positive reinforcement

We took our baby girl Thelma she is a rescue the lady that done her was name Marie was great with her we was worried but know who to groom her now. Would recommend her to anyone

Polite staff, pretty good selection.but there is often no one at the register when you are ready to check out. The staff is also not always knowledgable

I have a shy dog that I like to bring to this store for socialization training. The staff is always very supportive and kind. Plus I haven't found better prices for dog products anywhere else in town. This place is great!

Went to the store in search of reptiles. They had a snake I was interested in but the staff refused to let me hold it, saying it was "zippy" and that they didnt want to deal with it. As an experienced reptile owner this is sad due to how poor shape most reptiles are in pet stores. No one wants to buy a snake they can't see or hold
