Peter's Tailor Shop reviews
11Friendly nice people but my Abaya robe was hem to short. It's supposed to touch top of foot not stop at the ankle.
Slow turnaround, average quality work. Not terrible but not very good either. I brought in 5 pairs of pants that needed some adjustments. Four turned out well and one was not done correctly. It took them almost two weeks for a very simple job.
I was at a football game and stood too close to a firepit and burned the bottom of my goose down, nice winter coat. Goose feathers were flying everywhere unless it was tied off with a rubberband! I went here based on reviews and they said they could fix it. It looks like nothing ever happened to it, I was so pleased with how it turned out. Was done faster than anticipated as well. Would definitely recommend them, they do fantastic work and are clearly very talented!
Peter's Tailor Shop can be a bit rough around the edges, but the bottom line is, they care. And they are kind and reasonable. That in-and-of-itself can be difficult to find these days. I've had them repair holes and tailor new clothing (suit pants and dress shirts). They do a great job, and they're pretty quick, too. I'd say it's a great shop worth visiting if you need some alterations and you live nearby.
I trust Peter more than I trust most everyone. Peter and his staff are the best. I had a lot that needed to be altered and each was perfect. They’re knowledgeable and friendly.
Cute place and friendly owner, Peter. He was very honest with me about NOT tailoring 2 of my pants today.
I’ve had a handful of items done at Pete’s. He has owned and operated this shop for nearly 60 years and his staff is also very experienced. He takes pride in his work. They have done an extremely high quality and professional job on everything I’ve had them work on. No appt needed, was able to walk in. He had the items turned around in less than 2 weeks.
- shirts cuffs having cuff link holes replaced with regular buttons
- taking in a suit jacket
- tapering, hemming, and taking in two pair of suit pants
I have found my place for alterations! I will never need go to another tailor's again. This place is awesome. They also offer free alterations if you buy or have a suit ordered from them. Very friendly, very old school. Perfection.
Trash business. The workers are great. The owner, no. Pete is awful. His attitude stinks, he’s very dismissive and doesn’t listen to anyone. Very unfortunate experience.
Came here with an open mind after reading some reviews. It can be a bit chaotic and disorganized at times but for me that added to the charm of a bygone era. They did an excellent job on the hem and taking out the waist a couple inches. Perfect fit.
I went to Peter's Tailor Shop twice, once late 2021, and once today: 10/4/22. Both times were bad experiences. I often go to the tailor to get the waist of pants taken in, since I have a 25in waist and 39in hips. When I went in 2021, my measurements were even more of a contrast, with a 26in waist and 42in hips. So I always need to buy pants for my hips.
I just moved from AZ and have to leave my trusted tailor, hence why I'm now looking for a new one. My tailor in AZ has been able to take in my pants with minimal issue. The woman here would complain, say she can't do it, etc. She always asks, "why did you buy this size? Why not just buy a smaller size? " As I'm standing there in pants that clearly fit my legs, just not my waist. I can't buy a smaller size. Sorry to inconvenience you with my body shape. Imagine how hard it is for me to shop.
The first time (2021) she was able to do it, but this time I just left. I know it can be done, and I'm not going to try to convince a tailor to do their job. I would not recommend this tailor unless you only need a simple hem job.
She also was saying that they're very short of help so wait times are 3 weeks. She convinced the lady ahead of me not do get her jacket sleeves taken up, even though the lady clearly wanted it done. Seems like they are overworked and don't really want to take on new jobs.
