Pioneer Golf Center reviews
15I only get to come to the driving range after work and lately the workers seem like they'd rather I not be there. I was refused purchase of more balls at 8: 30 even they are open till 10pm on a Saturday. I was told there was not enough people on the range. There was 5 people out there including me. They remained open while others hit balls. I was minding my own business not bothering anyone. Not really sure whats going on here but I wish it would change as I used to love coming here and hitting balls under the lights.
We had a very enjoyable time picnicing at their clean, well equpped pavilion and even more fun playing miniature golf! River City Runners and Walkers Club gives a big "thumbs up" to Pioneer Golf Center!
It's a fair place to go. The staff is always friendly.
The miniature golf and tee off areas for the driving range both need some renovation. Still a fun family activity or if you just want to get out and work on your drive.
I haven't played the course so I cannot speak for that.
Please guys.work on getting things fixed up.
The golf center is easy access from the main road. Having several options from putt putt, driving range, or even play a round of golf all in one place is convenient. The putt putt greens need a few places repaired. But the course is exciting to play and challenging enough for all ages. I will be going back.
We had a great time playing putt putt golf and then hitting balls at the hitting range. Definitely be back soon!
Friendly employees, moderate prices, good driving range, (synthetic pads need replaced) miniature golf, excellent teaching pro (Chad), 9 hole par 36 golf course.
It's a nice local place to go for an evening with friends. It's not gimmicky or themed like you see at popular vacation spots. It's a much more tranquil feel. Trees, bushes, rock beds. I'm a fan of that aesthetic so it works for me. The staff is always friendly and it's easy to get to.
I mostly frequent their miniature golf course. Generally, I like to play here, but the greens there need to be re-carpeted something fierce. Until this happens, the place is not worth my money.
Great place. Good setting. Variety. Nice people work there. Had a great time. It was partly leaf-, covered but that added to the fun. The carpets wll likely need flattened before next year.
The course is maybe average or below, but the location and the peacefulness was well above average. We had a very nice time and will definitely do it again. Very family friendly.
Nice and flat but ladies tees on hold 9 are way to close so I would give it three out of ten greens are in horrible shape
3rd time my family and I have been there to their driving range this year.
1st time was pretty good. No real issues and we had a good time. Purchased the Jumbo basket for $10 to share between four of us.
2nd time time we went was pretty good until I looked at by bank statement later that day. Again I purchased the Jumbo basket for $10, but card was charged $16. I didn't ask for a receipt so I would consider that partially my fault.
3rd time was today. Same as before. Jumbo basket, $10 (got receipt this time) and the family and I went to town sending balls down range. We decided to get another Jumbo basket (supposed to have 125 balls) and this time I was going to divide the balls between the four of us (because the boys were just flying through the last basket). Disappointed when there was only 107 balls. It may not sou.d like much but when a small basket (25 balls) is $5 and we have already hit four baskets there now. If the other baskets were the same amount, and it appeared to be, we were short quite a few balls which would equal quite a few dollars.
Practice green was very rough with a lot of grass missing.
Overall, an ok place for driving range and short game practice. Would recommend counting the balls in your basket so you dont get jipped.
Cow pasture with diseased greens. There was no difference between the fairway and the rough. Very disappointing!
Just hit a bucket of balls. Handy place, would like to see a 50 yard marker. Golf course looks interesting, another time.
