Platinum Auto Wash on King, Columbus OH

This place is a scam! If you can find a better car wash, it would be best. Left scratches on my brand new blazer because the brushes are worn out. Also, there's never enough soap even coming out of the brushes. This place literally takes all your money, and your car still isn't clean. Do not use your credit card because that's another thing it will even take money off of that. Whoever owns this place is definitely hard up for money. This car wash is a complete rip off.

Had my mom's car detailed there today. She was a smoker and Is no longer because of a hart attack. Needed the smoke smell gone from her car. Let me tell you the car has never looked better. It smells brand new not even a hit of smoke. Outside looks amazing as well. If you want your car detailed at a reasonable price, come see Ernest and his crew. Just an amazing job. Thanks to guys!

UPDATE: Oct 27th. I've tried to get in contact with this business (at their request) about making things right, but my calls have gone unanswered and my original wash has still not been refunded. Disappointed.

Wish I would’ve seen the previous review because I would’ve avoided this wash. $12 and barely any noticeable washing/cleaning done. Wouldn't recommend!

The spotless carwash doesn't do anything. I paid $12 for the best option. The only clean part is a spot I hand cleaned before going.

Edit: These were not tough stains, a light brush of my finger wipes the dirt off. The condition before entering is similar to after. If I took a picture before, you wouldn't be able to tell the before from after pictures apart. I've used other touchless car washes before that were much more effective.

The closer you are to the main part of downtown Columbus the more you pay for everything. I've used vacuums throughout the city and and the vacuums do not cost a dollar fifty for 4 minutes. It's a nice car wash. Maybe they have to pay more to rent the space here, but this car wash has been here for ages. So if you're paying more, talk to the city to get those fees reduced and let's start voting for things that help out our businesses Who've been around a long time and are centrally located cuz they deserve as much respect as a newly built corporate type of car wash and we deserve more respect as residents. By the way, the number five vacuum has poor suction.

Great place to vacuum and clean your upholstery, but the car wash is horrible. The spot free rinse leaves spots, and the dryers suck. If you can go to Bethal rd.

Nice pressure, busy but not at all crowded.
$3.to start with plenty of time, cost $4.to wash my SUV and that's not bad at all. They have an automated bay also.

Last two times or perhaps even more, since it is only recently that I started paying attention to it.my credit card was charged exactly $15 when I spent less than $10 for a self wash. Fraud! Also, the vacumm does not work, it just takes your money and there is noone answering to address this issue or the overcharges. I still cannot believe it -how on earth this place is still in business? !

Auto wash did not get my truck clean. Had to hand wash after, lost $5. Prices for hand wash are fair

Easy, basic, convenient, inexpensive and gets the job done. Moo Moo car wash had a line waiting 2 miles long. I go to Premium Car Wash instead. No waiting, cleaned the car up great, and saved money and time in the process!

Response to owner: My card works just fine everywhere else I go, but thank you for the lesson on how cards work. Weird to deflect blame that it must be my card. The system specifically said "network error" after an extremely long pause. That is not a card error. Additionally, I don't wash my car that often, and twice I've come with a cone in front of the wash showing it was NOT in fact open. At least take some accountability. Thank you for reinforcing my decision to no longer patronize your business. Not turning on the 10 second dryer is ridiculous. Your reviews show your lack of responsible and considerate business ownership. It's not that hard to get 5 star reviews if you provide good service and courteous responses to customer issues. See ya wouldn't wanna be ya!

This wash is so so. It seems to be safe for my car. However, typically it's either closed or the machine doesn't work. Today the machine would not let me pay for my wash. Also, I think you should just charge $5 for any wash. Paying extra for the dryer is silly. The vacuums aren't free either. Meh I think I'm going to find a new car wash. Too bad this one is convenient to me, but the owner is penny pinching, and I can't even wash my car. I'm over it. Invest in your business, and appreciate your customers. Otherwise it's just greedy.

Exactly what I wanted! Needed a self-wash to really clean after a long, sandy and buggy road trip. Good presoak spray, generous and gentle foam brush, then high pressure rinse. Will definitely be back. Read signs for credit card use - start washing right after swiping, then press stop button when done. Also used vaccuum, $1.50/4min, Good suction. Thank you!
