The staff at Certus Point Place are wonderful. They go the extra mile daily to help your loved one.

That one star is literally for the physical therapists that worked with my Mamaw while she stayed at this place for an entire month. The first day she arrived from the hospital, she needed to regain strength in her legs and arms. At the time of arrival she was a fall risk. She was so worried that she wouldn’t get help getting to the bathroom. It was her biggest fear and her first night there, she pressed her call light, waited 30 minutes and couldn’t wait any longer so she attempted to get to the bathroom on her own and fell. She then crawled to the bathroom and pulled the emergency call string. She laid on the floor for over 2 hours before the women who came in to do her blood work came in and found her. And instead of cleaning her up because obviously she couldn’t hold it in, they put her back in bed and her physical therapist came in at 7am and had to clean her up and change her bedding & clothes. A total of 3 falls while being there with an X-ray only being done for the last fall. During the day while I was there (and that was almost every day) the staff was super attentive but almost as if they were burdened still. My mamaw ended up calling 911 herself after telling them for days that she couldn’t breathe and something was wrong. Turns out, she had pneumonia for weeks and back to the hospital she went. They’re EXTREMELY under staffed which is THERE problem. Close the facility if you don’t have the proper care! The showers are shared and disgustingly dirty. The bathrooms are shared and the patients get locked out from their room side. All their wheelchairs and walkers are falling apart. The “spa whirlpool bathtub” is broken and had a sign on it saying they were waiting for “a part” which a staff member told me that she has never seen it working. So obviously that sign is for show and they don’t intend on fixing it. Everything needs maintenance and they only have one man doing everything. Jerry was wonderful though, anytime anything was broken he fixed it right away. A couple of the admin there seemed to care and want to turn that place around but they need some serious help. DO NOT send your loved ones there. Everything I have mentioned isn’t even the half of what went on during her stay. There was a handful of nurses/aids that didn’t have an attitude. The staff member that works at the front desk is wonderful, I will say that. She was always pleasant, helpful, & knowledgeable. When I went to gather her belongings 3 days after she left by ambulance, not one staff member even knew she was gone. That’s how much they pay attention to their patients. Unreal!

This place is terrible! Thankfully my mom got my grandmother out of there! I wish i didn't have to give a star. They left my grandma for almost 2 hours waiting to get out of a chair into bed while she couldn't get to her phone (on the floor) and didn't give her the call light to call for help. Also left her soiled 40 mins before coming to help her. She developed terrible bed sores. They didn't feed her breakfast because "they didn't have diet orders". But she had been getting food prior to. Speaking of food, the food she did receive was disgusting! I worked in nursing facilities for 15 years, this is by far one of the worst. Literally take your loved ones anywhere but here. I'm so thankful we got her out of there!

My grandpa was here 2 days and got sent to ICU. This place is filthy. Do NOT send your loved ones here.
