Took a recommendation and got my 1978 Oldsmobile in to have some minor repairs made. Excellent work, communication, and honesty. Wait time was worth it.

I highly recommend Portage Lakes Auto Repair. Nellie was awesome and explained everything that needed done, 4 new tires, brakes and pads. Kudos to Kevin who did a great job. My car has never run so smoothly. The price was more than fair and I will not go anywhere else for service

Have been using this place for years. They are honest as the day is long, do great work and prices are fair. Nellie who answers the phone and takes the appointments is knowledgeable and always has a great personality. I moved out of the Lakes a few years ago near the Falls, I still go here, and won’t go anywhere else.

My son's car needed a new battery and Rob got me right in and had the car back in an hour! Exceptional service for sure.

Edit to Original: They punctured my tire or broke a TPMS sensor. I am not yet sure which. The owner's response is odd. I have a receipt that shows the pricing and exactly what took place. It isn't what he claims.

My Honda's rear camber alignment is off by -2 degrees and there is no OEM adjustment option, so I need camber arms. The problem is, I was quoted $900 for parts and service, and was explicitly told that "these parts can't be found online, at shops like Honda part dealers. We have to order them direct".

So I go home, look them up, and lo and behold, I find a set for $180 OTD, or up to $380. Service to install at a different location? $400 WITH another alignment. So over $300 less than quoted here or about even with the other set of camber arms. I was not happy, to say the least.

Additionally, I was told I would be charged for a four wheel alignment, and I was.for a two wheel front-only alignment. Ridiculous.

Oh and look, my TPMS light is on now after their tire rotation and it’s definitely not a false. Woo!

This was my first time going to Portage Lakes Automotive & Castle Tire. The service was quick and well done and the price was fair. Everyone there is friendly and ready to help in any way they can. I certainly recommend this crew to anyone looking to have auto work done!

I went to another shop and was given an extremely high repair quote. I went to Portage Lakes repair and they advised the recommended repair was no necessary. They save me quite a bit of money. They also got me in right away. Portage Lakes has won me over and gained a new customer!
