If you care about your life don’t go here! There’s been so many times when I’ve been unable to reach the office because they never answer the phones, or they just send you straight to voicemail and take days sometimes weeks to get back to you! There’s been multiple times where I’ve started to go through withdrawal from my meds since this unprofessional place takes so long to refill meds. Just crazy that this place can even be open anymore, this irresponsible behavior could put peoples lives at danger!

The financial receptionist told me that this should be all black hospital. And then started spinning me wrong and talking to me horribly. It was at the close of the day and she was being really harmful to me emotionally and spiritually. There's not much I could do, I'm going try and schedule my appointments when there more people around so I am not corned. This is not the first time this has happened.

I have been seeing many reviews here that mention the incompetent reception staff. I can confirm it is 100% true. It's also symptomatic of a larger issue with NE Ohio's mental health services at large. This was the same problem I experienced at Summit Psych. How am I supposed to be responsible about my mental health treatments when the staff isnt responsible enough to keep my appointments straight? Having a doctor is only useful when you are able to SEE the doctor on a regular basis. Between the receptionists being unable to do their jobs right and the staff rotating every other week I never saw the same doctor more than a few times. Not to mention they weren't even DOCTORS half the time. Incompetent agency on every level. Undid years of hard work, made my problems worse. I've since left Ohio and I'm still trying to find a suitable doctor. I've never felt worse in my life. Portage Path and the greater NE Ohio mental health field should be ashamed of themselves. I'm still determined to find the help I need, but I can stop thinking that people may have taken their own lives because they feel they cannot trust them se so-called "professionals. " Portage Path, Summit Psych, and NE Ohio in general need to completely overhaul their services.

The people here saved my life. The programs have helped me save my marriage, save myself and manage my mental health and mental happiness. I use the information and coping skills I learned here every day of my life! Come here for help and you WILL get it.

Worst place ever! My prescriber is nice but you can’t ever get in to see her! The receptionist at the front desk is so rude and heartless. I’ve had to miss work multiple times for the walk in clinic that I arrived as soon as they opened and I still was not seen. I try to receive FMLA but it’s impossible for them to fill it out since you can never get in. I’ve gone through withdrawals because they didn’t call in my meds or they don’t return calls to get any refills. Working in healthcare I think this is the worst place I’ve ever been. They have 0 compassion. They do not care about clients.

This place is an absolute joke. I've had 2 appointments in the last week rescheduled 30 minutes AFTER I showed up to the office for my allotted time, them citing different reasons each time. I've had another appointment with a therapist that was supposed to last an hour, only last 20 minutes after he was late. This place is a joke, if you have insurance, even medicaid, go with Summa.

For your own sake don’t go here. Receptionists are rude and have attitude and it takes months to get in contact with the nurses responsible for your medications. So if you end up having bad reactions to your meds and want to either stop or have questions about them it will be impossible to get any help at all

By far awful services. Twice I went in for appts and they told me I don't have them when I had my schedule sheet they printed off. They cancel walk ins all the time. The psychs never return calls when your in need. The staff at desks are always rude. They will literally argue with you over the phone about how they can't schedule you for at least 2 months out when your saying you need an appt put in earlier cuz your not suppose to be on the meds your on because no one switched them after an allergic reaction. I've been waiting for a call back for over a month. My primary care had to help me. Seriously awful services. You don't know the half of it.

I don't usually review a company this way; I will also like to note that it's a multistory building that take walk-ins. Right in the city, and always packed.

Now I called at the end of January asking if they had availablility. I was assured they did and we proceeded to schedule an intake appointment set a few weeks from placing the call.

I walk into the building for my intake appointment and am immediately confused. I walk into the first doors and tell this receptionist I have an appointment. She was very unpleasant, and was due to me not being helpful enough or maybe she didn't get to eat lunch.

Go through a maze of doors and am met with a super nice lady. My intake nurse. Everything went well and we scheduled for the earliest appointments available which were months away. Not uncommon for big places.

It's now March, get a letter apologizing due to high demand they had to cancel my appointment. Called and Rescheduled. It's now April, get another letter with the same "had to cancel due to high demand".

Finally I call, fed up to speak with the rights officer, and doing so they entrusted that the next appointment would be met. This time a different doctor. Almost 30 days later I walk in, meet the same lady who couldn't be bothered to help me. To the point of "I don't know why you're here either, I don't have a computer" this was in front of about 3 monitors.

After 5 minutes of trying to deescalate the situation, I walk to the top floor. This is a place full of people getting non stop phone calls, openly talking about smoking crack, and plenty of people pacing to the pharmacy and the receptionist, back and fourth. Asking for the doctors that are in the same room.

If I would have brought my girlfriend here she would have felt so uncomfortable that she would have had to leave.

Walk back finally and greeting with a nice doctor. However, he was unwilling to continue my medication plan provided by my doctor.

I wasted almost 6 months to get into a place that made me feel unwelcomed, like I wasn't a priority, and most importantly just another statistic.

I went to get treatment for my anxiety disorder & PTSD. I left feeling dirty, since it very well seemed like just another out-patient rehab facility. Which is not what they advertise until you see it with your own eyes.

Thank goodness for my caring primary care physician, she was able to get me to exactly who I needed to. Avoid this place at all costs if you value your quality of health.

I’ve had some scheduling problems. I did Not like the pathways group. The prices are the same as anywhere else if you are over the income limit. Quite honestly I don’t like my therapist but I like my Doctor ok.

Needed to see someone since December. I keep getting pushed around to now April. No sense of urgency or care from this facility. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the mockery of a place.

It has been a great experience for me! I have learned a lot the psychologist are a great help being honest with myself and them! Then I was able to excel forward with my life. The med clinic I find if I tell them what my issue is only then can I resolve it.

I have been going here for three years and this is what you need to know.
The good: They are on a sliding fee scale and a lot of people are seen here for less than $50 a month for all the services. If you are broke and without insurance like the rest of us you can still be seen. This place has been very to good to me in that respect. Once you get in the doors, they will do absolutely everything thy can to help you. Especially the Barberton location. If you are in dire straights, they have an on-site pharmacy. They also have support groups throughout the week that you can attend. A lot of the prescribers and therapists have walk-ins scheduled weekly if you need to see someone if you are in crisis. I have had a great experience with the staff overall.
The bad: never ever ever go to the Psychiatric Emergency Facility. They are rude and unsympathetic and will probably make your mental health crisis worse. When I was afraid for myself, I lied to them so they wouldn’t admit me because they told me that they would hold me against my will. (Which is against the law) They have a detox place next door and when they get overflowed, they go into the emergency facility. Regarding the regular outpatient stuff, they are super understaffed so it will take you forever to get into see someone. Because they rely on the state for funds, they are subject to cuts, which mean they have in the past cut staff or ask them to retire. They people that work for outpatient are amazing and they really care, but they are stretched so thin that they don’t seem to wanna stay there for long. My counselor has changed four times. I finally was able to get health insurance so I will be going elsewear for therapy but I will continue to go here for my prescriber.

At the end of the day, this place is really good if you cannot afford therapy or if you don’t have insurance. It’ll be there for you until you get back on your feet and can do better. I still would reccomend this place for out patient services.
