Portage Towers Apartments, Cuyahoga Falls OH

Love the area just hate when people from other apartments come to the pool. Like people that pay to live here get to use that not people that don’t need some other way of keeping the pool community of portage towers only and when you call the office they never answer the phone no matter what time it is.

Lived here for a year, had ants the whole time since day one being there and even after countless visits no change was made with the ants. A neighbor ended up having ants and they just spread around surrounding apartments for the time being there. Maintenance often ignored requests and the office workers are extremely forgetful. The building is very quite though, even with my previous downstairs neighbors arguing every night I could barely hear it.

They do not replace carpet before you move in, I had nails sticking out of the floor, bare spots, holes from previous tenants. Packages get stolen. They will not give you updates on service requests even when you have water coming into your apartment from the apartment above and notify them about it. I had to call multiple times to get them to answer and see the water damage or even let me know what was happening. They said they would paint over the water stains and never did and it stained the carpet. Elevators break and the maintenance will know about it and nothing is done until people call and notify the office.

I felt that the apartments where reasonably priced in a great location. Management and maintenance always did there best to assist. Only wouldn't recommend if you work 3rd shift as there can be your typical foot traffic during the day. If I ever need to rent in the falls again, I will definitely check them out.

Lived here going on my 6th year and I've never had a single issue, my neighbors are lovely, the staff is friendly, maintenance is on top of it, I don't have anything bad to say. I 100% recommend this place for the price, location, management and closet space

I have been here WAY TO LONG. Time to go. First few years were fine. But now they Shut your water off every other day and don’t tell you but will send out mass text for everything else. They won’t update the apartments until you move out. I had a used stoved when I moved here and I’ve been here 10+ years. Stove keep going out, maintenance just come and fix it. The 1 thing that is good is maintenance. I’ve NEVER had a problem with them. The owner is just rude. So rent has continues to go up but nothing gets replaced in your apartment. This place can’t keep office staff. Time to do my own thing. The turn over here is very high. Don’t waste your time and money. Not worth it!

Such a horrible place to live. They cost way more than what they are actually worth. They say because they are 'updated'. All that is new is the paint, which is splattered everywhere. Maintenance take weeks just to fix a simple issue. The pool was often closed for any random reason they can think of. There were cockroaches in the basement by the laundry machines. Best part, they were holding my security deposit till I removed the maintenance requests from their app. It took me months to get the deposit back, and I only got $50 back. The are nothing better than scam artists.

Try the building just South of them. Or any other place really. Not worth the headache.

Worst place I have ever lived. They will keep your security deposits (even though they told us we would receive those back) and charge you extra for ridiculous things to get even more money out of you apparently when your lease is up, so don't bother thinking you're going to get your security deposits back.

If you want a place where they will enter your apartment while you're not home without notifying you and then move everything around in your kitchen this is the place for you, only to call you and tell you THE DAY AFTER. I am truly horrified and will be leaving as soon as I get the chance.

I moved to Portage Towers 2 times.
I will move there again if I ever go back to that location.
It's clean, well kept and safe.
Great views of the sky and city.
Management was fair and maintenance was within limits.
Clean pool and convient to local shopping.

Current resident! The apartment my fiance and I had before finding this amazing complex was what you'd describe as a horror show. We've been here for almost a year and fell in love with the apartment complex very fast! The staff are amazing, friendly, and the handymen are always quick to help us. Very rarely can I hear any other units sharing any of the walls, the neighbors are all nice, the building is kept clean, and I've never felt unsafe while here. (Safety is a really important aspect for me because of my ptsd, I've never had any problem here!) I heavily recommend living here and I look forward to renewing our lease in the next month!

I’m not too fond of this place. Me and my girlfriend have been smelling the dumpsters and the halls and place is overall dirty and not clean. It seems like this place always smells like rotting garbage and is just overwhelmingly gross. I wouldn’t suggest moving here as they just raised our rent to almost $900 a month. Would highly suggest anyone to find somewhere else than portage towers apartments.

Living here has been a wonderful experience for my daughter and I. We are very happy here. Other tennants have been so nice! We feel goid and we feel safe. Brandy and Charity in the leasing office get tight on top of things when situations go wrong.

Very welcoming since day 1, couldn’t have been more pleased. Management is ridiculously nice and helpful. Very nice place to live. You can tell everyone in the office / maintenance/ management actually loves there job and cares and doesn’t treat it like a chore. Highly recommend!

I moved to this complex from out of state and what made it even bigger for me was this was the first time I was renting an apartment on my own. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better "introduction" to the world of apartment living. The management and maintenance staff always went above and beyond and never hesitated to answer any questions I had. At one point when I was working out of town I had a plumbing accident occur in my unit. Within 30 minutes of me calling Bernie and the maintenance team were in my unit and began trying to solve the problem. It took a bit of time to fix, but management was always checking in and seeing how I was doing.
The area this complex is in is absolutely perfect as its both beautiful and quiet. You'll never have to worry about parking and never have to worry about security with all of the cameras. The neighbors were always friendly and I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone in the area who wants a great apartment experience. I can't say enough good things about this complex 11/10!

We moved in 2 weeks ago. Even though there were things wrong with the apartment when we moved in, the Staff has been amazing! Every repair was made when promised and sometimes even before promised exceeding all my expectations. The management even went out of their way to assign me a parking spot where i am able to get my wheelchair in and out of my car easily. The ONLY reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that common areas are not handicap accessible. Thank you Mark and everyone else on the staff

Horrible place to live! Problematic issues with elevators! Never can find a spot to park at night so forget about not having to walk a mile to get home! Trying to get some laundry done? Don’t worry you’ll have sopping wet clothes and clothes that don’t get dried because none of there machines work and they will not help you fix any problems. Would highly not recommend living here to anyone! Over $800 in rent each month for a place that has none stop issues that they don’t even try to repair except wait months to repair it.

I have lived here for 2 years great place. The office staff is very helpful and friendly. The grounds are beautiful and everyone in the office is so helpful - their communication is always on point. Everything is always handled professionally.
