Portside Cafe reviews
16Mom and pop feeling old school dining and the food was good. Menu is normal American food nothing wrong with that. I would definitely come back.
Great little small town diner! I had the fried bologna sandwich and fries. The piece of bologna was nice and thick and the fries were crispy. I will be a repeat customer for sure!
First time here after passing for years. Great place, great food, and fun staff. Had patty melt and wife had breaded tenderloin. Both great. Nice thick tenderloin like we used to get in western Ohio. Can't wait to come back and try more.
Something of a hole in the wall joint with good food and great prices. The service is always fast and the food what you would expect. You won't be dazzled or disapointed, just satisfied.
Needs handicap parking. Customers park right in front of the door. Makes it hard for walkers and wheel chairs to get to the front door
They have wonderful home cook food, plus you get your money's worth. I stop by there every time I pass by and the owners are very friendly.
Was super hungry and could smell the food. Mmmmmmm but I drove all night and had to sleep. Woke up and had slept through the hours of operation. Thanks for the safe parking and place to sleep. I will be back to eat here!
The Southern Omelet. Grilled chicken, bacon, ham, peppers, onions, tomatoes. It fills an entire plate, they serve the home fries and toast on a separate plate. Under ten dollars. Why aren't you already eating it?
Food's great. Service great. It's priced ok. If you're looking for high class ambience, it ain't here. But if you want a generous portion of good food, you might like this place.
Ordered 2 pies (chocolate and peanut butter) and 1 cheesecake to take with us to a family dinner. Everyone loved it! The total did come to $80.00 with tip.
Classic diner south of Columbus. Went there after visiting St. Joeseph's cemetery. I had the Western omelet and a side of pancakes.
Wow.a lot of food! Huge portions, well prepared and hot. I could not finish my meal. Great diner coffee too!
I love this place. We are not from this area and we were just driving through. We wanted something with a mom and pop vibe. Coming to Portside Cafe we got just what we wanted. The food was delicious and came out quickly. The staff was absolutely amazing and friendly. I will make it a point to stop by again.
Seems to be a popular place for locals. It was busy during our lunch stop on a Sunday. Large helpings for good prices. Our breakfast food was average. Facilities are in desperate need to repair.
This restaurant is a "hole in the wall" type place but the food is good and the service is friendly. The pies are homemade and delicious. If you are there on a day when there are cream puffs consider yourself doubly blessed. The building is old and in need of definite repairs but things are kept clean. This is our stop whenever we are traveling south of Columbus.
Service was a little off today. Couldn't place my to go order, never got a refill on my coffee. Bummed, we usually love this place.
Great little hidden gem, in plain site! Decent truck parking area. Good food, good homemade desserts. My wife had the 8 ounce mushroom and steak burger. It was AWESOME! Hand patted, fresh, great flavor beef. Cooked to your preference. I had the all you can eat Breaded Fried Tilapia. Nice crunchy breading, cooked perfectly (not over cooked, as most places do fish). We had the Coconut Cream pie, it was soooooooo good, we had to get a piece to go also. LOL
