Overall, we have had nothing but a positive experience from Primrose School of Grandview. Our little guy started back when he was 3 months old and his infant teachers immediately put us at ease. We have been nervous every time he moves up a room because we and most importantly, he, loves his teachers so much, but every time he finds friends and teachers he loves! The progression he has made because of the curriculum and focus on the kids is just phenomenal! Now we have a second child in the infant class and are feeling the same way. We can’t wait to watch her grow there because of the great group that Primrose school of Grandview has!

The administration has always been attentive to any requests that are made and keep us up to date on any changes. As with any business, there have been staff that have come and gone but they continually train and support their staff and our children have benefited so much from them!

Our daughter has been attending this school for almost a year now. We appreciate the dedication of the staff and teachers thus far. They are quick to respond to our feedback and questions. We would recommend this school to others.

We’ve had our daughter to Primrose Grandview since it opened in 2019. The staff has been so great for her and seem to really care! She always talks of her favorite teachers and loves telling us the things they’ve done that day. The curriculum seems very well rounded and we’re always impressed at the progress our daughter has made! I would highly recommend Primrose Grandview!

We enrolled my 22-month-old at a time where we were looking to get him in quickly (we had a bad experience elsewhere). After we met with the leadership team, we were just waiting to be disappointed, however, after 3 months, we can say that we have been only blown away and impressed. The teachers are always welcoming when we come and say Hi and my son's name. He has had the same 2 teachers the whole time. He gets healthy food and has never come home with any bites, bruises, or even poop-crusties (that is a thing). He loves when we take him and doesn't cry at drop off or pick up (he cried at the old place). Primrose even has parent's night out (and it's cheaper than a sitter) and we were able to bring our older daughter who does not attend to hang with the older kids. She loved it too. This place is run in a personable and professional manner. It is clear their ducks are in a row. Very happy!

Our oldest daughter has been at Primrose Grandview since she was 12 weeks old and she is now in preschool. We have been impressed since the very beginning and cannot say enough good things! The leadership and teachers are kind and take wonderful care of the children. Now that she is old enough, she comes home and tells us how much fun it is and re-enacts her whole school day. She is excited to go every day, so much so that she often forgets to say goodbye to us. When we had our second daughter, it was an easy decision to stay at Primrose and she is having the same wonderful experience. We are so thankful for everyone at Primrose Grandview!

Our experience with Primrose Grandview, while short-lived, was a disappointing one. Our son unfortunately contracted RSV within just 4 days of starting care and thereafter we made the decision to unenroll for many reasons, both personal and based on concerns we had with the mixing of the infant 1 and infant 2 classrooms (causing more opportunity for the spread of germs) and the number of visibly sick children that were present during our son’s attendance (their “sick policy” appeared to be very lenient). While the admin of this location heard out our concerns, they appear to be more concerned with tuition dollars, as they would not make any concessions to their 2 week (2 full weeks of care…not 14 days…which was never made clear both in communication and in their handbook) policy and ended up charging us over $1350 for just 4 days of care. They used the claim that our son was “welcome to attend during the withdraw period” though made no considerations for the fact that our son was too ill to attend, not to mention still contagious with RSV (per the contagious days mentioned in their RSV notice). It was surprising to us that they were encouraging us to have our son attend while still symptomatic and contagious. While we liked the teachers here, we would not recommend this daycare.

I would absolutely steer clear of this center. After 3 months of my girlfriend working here, it’s evident that while teachers care, there is absolutely no support and leadership is failing both the teachers and the children at this school.

Parents may be interested to know that although Primrose boasts low ratio, classrooms are always maxed out, with classroom combined pretty consistently. There have been 6 teachers to resign in the last 2 weeks just at this location. As a parent, if consistency of caregivers is important, this would be a pass.

If you’re looking to work at Primrose, I would be cautious. They hire under false pretenses (for example, they have hired multiple teachers for a PreK position then placed these teachers with other classrooms, promising to move them to PreK once the position opened- which it never did). The leadership isn’t supportive of teachers, is demeaning, and ignores requests for help.

My girlfriend turned in her resignation with a detailed letter covering her concerns- nothing was acknowledged by leadership- (as in no response to emails, texts, wouldn’t talk with her in person).

The owners would do well to reach out to past employees to figure out exactly what’s going on- because losing 1/3 of your staff in two weeks is a reflection on the leadership- not the hard working teachers.
