Prism Nail Lounge, Cincinnati OH

My nail tech was Bridgett. Within 2 seconds of the service Bridgett immediately mistakenly cut my skin with a high power nail drill. I should have ended the service right then and there. Did she clean the cut or tend to it? No. Instead, although my skin was clearly cut open and bleeding she proceeded to dip it into acetone. I’ll let you imagine the pain of an open bleeding cut dipped into acetone. Later in the service, she aggressively pushed my cuticles back (which was completely unnecessary given I get my nails done every 2-3 weeks. I did not have stubborn or thick cuticles which had not been tended to in years). My cuticles are now swollen from her aggressive methods. Lastly, while clipping my cuticles she cut my skin again. 24 hours later both cuts are a still stinging and painful. During the so called hand massage she had the audacity to tell me to “relax” multiple times because I was tense. Of course I’m tense, you just abused my nails and now I’m suppose to somehow feel relaxed? I absolutely can not recommend Bridgett. Her aggressive manicures and lack of care and concern for painful open wounds is disturbing and unprofessional. This is why so many women are learning to do their own nails; abusive nail techs. I recommend a gentler salon such as Nail Joy or Spruce. Unfortunately I was unable to get in and had to settle for Prism. Never again.

I got French gel on August 31 and it's now OCTOBER 4, no chips at all! They've lasted for over a month, of course my nails have grown out but since it's French, I don't mind. Not only did the owner provide the best quality, her customer service was top notch. It was my first time visiting Cincy and I had come straight from the airport, hoping to get my nails done somewhere. She was so accommodating and even went out of the salon to give me directions to my hotel afterwards. I can't speak highly enough of Prism. Please go support her local business, you won't be disappointed!

I’ve been here a few times now - twice for gel manicures and one time for a pedicure. I like that it’s a smaller business and is downtown. I’ve never had to wait for my appointment time. The place is clean and my nails last for a couple weeks with no chips. Great service!

Yeah it’s a no, bad customer service. You need an appointment but they don’t answer the phone and it’s mentioned no where that you need an appointment. I showed up after paying for parking and just got a “oh sorry! ” No “let me help you book for another day” or “here’s a business card come back and see us”. What really sucks is that it is downtown so if you paid for parking welp you just waisted your money and time.

Thy did such a great job and is so sweet! I don’t get pedicures often and it was my first time coming in. The whole atmosphere is stunning, cleanly, and very relaxed. I’m one of the most indecisive people ever so I love that she didn’t rush me at all to pick out a color and we ended up having a nice conversation about a restaurant I was going to later that evening. Definitely recommend!
