Pymatuning State Park (Ohio) - Cabins reviews
11 Actually unbelievable! I flew up to Ohio and rented a cabin over the Christmas weekend with my son. I had some little trepidation because I couldn't find photos on line. My expectations were low but my mind was blown when we opened the door.
You literally only need to bring yourself, your clothes and your food because everything else you need is provided. Including cable TV.
Can't wait until we are back again. It was so relaxing and fun. The cabins are awesome!
Love it here for a relaxing getaway, flea market on the weekends is always fun. Cabins are always clean. Very affordable for a family getaway
Awesome location. Great amenities such as linens and towels and also a refrigerator and stove and oven
Cheap and clean cabins. Access to the lake and enough stuff in Andover to keep busy for a weekend or more.
I have been going to Pymatuning off and on for the last 60 years and it is still the cleanest, safest and has the most incredibly friendly workers around. Love this place!
I've been going there for about 25 years and it's the most quietest relaxing place to travel
One of my all-time favorite state parks. This was the first time we stayed in the cabins. The cabin itself was absolutely beautiful. They are well-equipped with basic supplies. The unit we stayed in wasn't the cleanest for my liking. Cobwebs were along the ceiling and the top of the shower was starting to grow mold. The fridge smelled like fish. A box of baking soda would help this tremendously. The freezer though not hooked up for the automatic ice maker tried to make ice and was very loud.
Didn't see one park ranger the entire weekend but sure heard the group of obnoxious people walking at midnight cussing at each other.
Absolutely love this park, and will go back. So peaceful, quiet and relaxed. Definitely recommend and we'll go back. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
We rented basic cabin 6 for a quick getaway. The cabin is one large room with a small 3 piece bathroom (sink, shower, toilet). It's heated with a small gas furnace and we were comfortable when nights were in the 30s.
There's a modestly appointed kitchen with a small stove, refrigerator, and coffee pot. There's no microwave. Outdoors is a picnic table, fire ring, and two chairs. (You can check my profile for interior and exterior pics.)
Linens are provided and there's cable TV. Cell phone service is spotty; public WiFi is just a few cabins down.
There are plenty of hiking trails and lots to do nearby.
