What a joke! Before purchasing a 5,500 gallon cistern from Rain Brothers we explained to them that we had a quarter of a mile long rough driveway. We were reassured that their truck driver has only refused a couple driveways in the years that he has been delivering cisterns. We continue with the purchase and low and and behold on delivery day the driver would not drive the cistern up the hill but instead dropped the cistern at the bottom of our driveway (after crossing the worst part of our driveway). Rain brothers didn't offer anything to help us and told us to either set it ourselves or they will pick it back up. An extra $3,000 and a month of time wasted the cistern is set with still no help from Rain Brothers. If you live remotely off grid go with with another company. This is the only time anybody has ever refused to drive up our driveway. The amazing thing is, our septic was delivered and set a few weeks later and the gentlemen delivering our septic couldn't understand why rain brothers refused to set our cistern. The kicker - the exact same equipment was used to set the septic that rain brothers had for our cistern. If we weren't on a time crunch to complete our house we would have had Rain Brothers pick up the cistern and purchased a new one, however, the hole was already completed for this specific sized cistern and other companies with the same size gallon tank had different dimensions. I couldn't be anymore disappointed with this transaction and how unprofessional Rain Brothers handled the situation.

Great place for rain barrels and rain barrel related items. The staff there are exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly! Outstanding customer service! In my experiences with them, they have always taken the time to understand my needs and to explain the best solution to meet those needs. They really care about the environment, and are doing so much to make it better. They also do a great job of educating people about taking care of the environment. I purchased my rain barrel from them years ago. Today I needed some hardware for my rain barrel. They figured out and supplied what I needed.

I am an industry professional and I purchase items from Rain Brothers. I worked with Johnathan to put together a unique pump setup and he went above and beyond for me. They know their stuff and are amazing when it comes to meeting the needs of their customers. I highly recommend them!

**The short version**: The caliber of service that Rain Brothers provided our organization exceeded our every expectation. More than a contractor, they were a true partner and collaborator in making our ambitious stormwater-management goals a reality. It’s not an exaggeration to say that we cannot recommend Rain Brothers’ services and expertise more highly.

**What Rain Brothers did for us**:
(Our small nonprofit is located on a 1.79-acre, five-building property in inner-city Cleveland.)
— 22,000 gallons of underground stormwater storage captured from the enormous roof space of two buildings
— Two 500-gallon above-ground steel culvert stormwater tanks
— Automated subsurface irrigation system (using captured stormwater) of permeable grass pavers (installed separately) in one or our two parking lots
— Three pressurized hydrants located around the property to access the captured stormwater (for irrigation and other projects)
— Custom-designed “smart” (in the ‘internet-of-things’ sense) dewatering system to prepare room in the stormwater cisterns prior to a storm event, which utilizes onsite rain detectors, electronic tank sensors, and automated pumps
— Continual logging of cistern data to a cloud-storage database, so that we can measure our environmental impact over time as well as visualize our tank levels in real time

**The longer version**:
We are a small nonprofit located in Cleveland’s inner city. Our 1.79-acre property is loaded with impermeable surfaces (roofs, asphalt, concrete, etc.). Needing more water to irrigate our community gardens and onsite fruit trees, while also desiring to be better stewards of our Great Lake and rivers, we reached out to Rain Brothers with a *very* speculative plan for stormwater capture and management. From the very first phone call, Jonathan and his team were beyond generous with their time in walking us through the possibilities and design options. It’s important to note that, because our property dates back to the turn of the century, the facility drawings and designs we did have were outdated and/or incomplete (which makes for all kinds of challenges when, for example, one needs to know the precise location at which a sanitary line and a stormwater line combine!). In spite of this, Rain Brothers knew the right questions to ask, and where to start looking when an answer wasn’t immediately clear. From the very start, they were enthusiastic not only about the proposed project, but also the way it connects to our organization’s larger mission and values. Before we had spent a penny, we knew that we had gained a partner.

Securing funding for our project took three times the amount of time that we anticipated. Throughout the process, Rain Brothers remained patient and enthusiastic, providing critical documentation and designs which were instrumental in convincing our funders of the efficacy of the proposal. When the time finally came to break ground, they were timely, friendly, professional, adaptive, and efficient.

During the installation process, we were confronted with a number of unexpected challenges (e.g. Storm lines identified in historic drawings/blueprints which didn’t actually exist, third-party tech we expected to use which was no longer manufactured, etc.), but Rain Brothers found a way to overcome them all, *without* swelling the budget! And, like most nonprofits, we have to give an account for every dollar we spend, so this resourcefulness just blew us away! One particularly notable instance is the way that Jonathan custom-designed our “smart” dewatering and data-logging system using *better* tools which cost *less* than what we originally proposed! For this and loads of other reasons, our staff continues to brag about Rain Brothers to our nonprofit partners, friends, and whomever else will listen.

In the very best sense, our experience with Rain Brothers is rare among contractors. We now consider them partners and friends, and we truly look forward to the opportunity to work with them again in the future!
