Ray's Wine Spirits Grill reviews
20The food had a great flavor, but was overpriced for the amount you got. I had a thin crust pizza and the crust reminded me of a cracker more than pizza crust. We were the only ones there, but we were still ignored by the server. The entire experience just felt awkward. You also aren't given a receipt, just the total which I felt was weird as well.
They will let you take liberties with their food changes, and their selection of fun unique beverages is a blessing. Thanks for the figgy grilled cheese!
I was looking forward to our reservation at Ray's. The menu looked great, the recommendation that brought me here was positive. Much to our surprise it was opposite of what we were expecting. The moment we walked in the sign said seat yourselves. We expected a much different environment with having a reservation and all. So once we established that didn't matter, we found a good location and sat down amongst the few occupied tables, that were all staring at us in awkward silence, by the way, like a strange movie scene. Also didn't hear any music either. However there was a big party room that everytime the door opened was loud loud. We waited a while before a server walks by making a comment, never dropping menus or asking about drinks.still waiting we finally get menus dropped and then she quickly took off again. Once we decided what to drink we waited some more.until finally we had enough waiting and decided to get ahead of the situation and just leave before the downward spiral began. Too bad because we had high hopes for this organic experience.
Had lunch on Saturday 19,2022: Pros: Clean, modern, attractive atmosphere, high ceilings. Plenty of space with good ventilation. Plenty of good parking. Fast, accurate, friendly service. Menu has fairly healthy choices with creative takes on old favorites. Moderate pricing. Had large bowl of tomato/vegetable soup which was delicious. Con: kind of hard to find as it sits inconspicuously back from road with a modest sign.
When at full staff service is very good.knowledgeable staff always seem to have a smile on their face.bartender seems a bit surely but I believe that's his stick.never had a bad meal or drink
Always a good stop. Great sandwiches, generous portions, and usually a great beer selection on tap. They have a fantastic cigar selection and an amazing beer cave. They also have a fairly large wine selection. I even found a bottle of Orion beer once. It's brewed only on the Japanese island of Okinawa and it's pretty hard to get in Ohio.
I've been in here for lunch and dinner with friend and my family. This place is well worth the stop.
Love that you can split up six packs. Bring a jacket for the cooler! The food in the restaurant is very good also. Looks like a large selection of wines, but I'm not a wine guy, yet.
This is a very tough place for me to rate. If I made a personal review it would be lower, but I don't think I am their demographic as it is a wine and spirits place and I don't drink. I gave 4 starts because my personal rating seems like an outlier compared to others.
Things I like: atmosphere is very nice, staff is friendly and service good. The pizza is thin crust.
Things that I do like: soda and tea are bottled or in cans. Food wise everything I have gotten there is OK, there is nothing there that I have gotten that I have thought I need to get again. Food I have gotten:
Salmon pizza - I am not a fish fan and this wasn't too shabby. Thin crust is a plus for me
Cuban - it was OK.
Simple spinach salad - not much you can do with this, health, good dressing I remember.
Roasted turkey sandwich - again OK. On sourdough toast is a plus.
White bean chili - this is the only thing I have gotten multiple times. It is hot and filling. Hot heat-wise no scoville units detected. I get it as a side.
Anyway your milage might vary as the ppl I have gone with have always enjoyed it.
The food is really good and the staff is amazing. They are friendly actually engaged with you. The beer and wine selection is awesome.
Great experience. Beautiful dog friendly patio everyone was SO friendly and the food and wine were great. Definitely a hidden gem we will definitely be back!
I have yet to buy any wine but they have amazing appetizers. Would also recommend their pizza's. Menu items are priced between $9.00 - $20.00.
Food is great!
First time there, the atmosphere was awesome! We tried some of the beers on tap to decide and the Bartender, she was awesome too. We met some gentlemen who frequent this location and we had the best conversation with them. I really enjoyed myself there so check them out you won't be disappointed I'm going back, they get 2 thumbs up from me!
Great ambiance, excellent food and an amazing staff! The best spinach artichoke dip I've ever had! Will definitely be back here again!
I living in Brooke for three years, I came to this store for the first time with a colleague from the company. It was a quiet GRILL with a lot of wine in the store and a nice atmosphere. Many customers came to eat, but I was satisfied with the time it took for the order to be delivered to the table. Wine lovers and steak lovers should definitely stop by.
Always a great meal here. I got the twisted ruben and potato wedges. Has pastrami and slaw. I was not aware that it already came with greens as a side, nor did the server share that information. It was good. They also have a standard rueben with corned beef and sauerkraut. Hi-wire brown ale was tasty. Others in our party got the pasta bolognese, which was raved about, white bean chicken chili, and barnyard sandwich. The side salads that came out were quite ample. Nice homemade vinaigrette dressings. The house cabernet was enjoyed as well. This place is half restaurant, half wine store. You can pick whatever wine you wish from the store side and they will open and re-cork for you to take home. There is also a beer cave with a large selection. The building is all one level so easy in and out. Handicapped parking right outside the door. Parking easy as well. Reservations accepted.
Super friendly and attenentive staff, beyond excellent and fresh food. Above average Steakhouse quality steak (longhorn and texas roadhouse could take some tips from them if you asked me), great pizza, fantastic blackened salmon and veggies. If that doesn't satisfy all your needs they have an excellent wine an beer selection. Furthermore they have a huge selection of wine, beer, and cigars, on the other half of the restaurant that can be enjoyed there, or to take home. Expect to spend somewhere in the $60-$90 range if dining for two. Will definitely be returning to try more of their menu.
Clean friendly atmosphere with an array of wines by the bottle for purchase. Waitress was nice and attentive. Food was good
The food made me physically ill. In the bathroom most of the night. This ruined my 20th wedding anniversary. When my husband notified them the next day, their response was they would check the salmon. I don't want to talk bad about somewhere, but the truth is the truth. And no it was not from drinking too much because I only drank water.
They have a great selection of international wines, and a walk in beer cave freezer. My wife loves the wine tasting kits that are available. Plus, the food is great as well!
My husband and I had a wonderful first time at Rays. Our Waitress, Loveisha was a amazing! She gave great recommendations for our appetizer (crab dip), meal (salmon), dessert, and wine! We enjoyed every bit our our experience.
