Red Roof Inn Clyde

Pets stay free, which was great for us! The room itself was pretty low quality, though nothing was particularly awful.

Bed bugs! Yuck! Have four kiddos and was expecting a good night's rest and my oldest son woke up and found bed bugs in his pillow and then in his mattress. They had no other rooms for us so my husband was forced to go to Walmart to find a air mattress for my son to sleep on the nasty floor. The freezer still has food in it and the windows didn't look like they had been cleaned in months. We had better get a full refund. Very dissatisfied customer! Stay away from room 316.

I'VE GOT A GAL FRIEND THAT WORKS HERE AT THE CLYDE OHIO RED ROOF INN. IF IT WERE NOT FOR THAT & ONLY BECAUSE I LIVE IN FREMONT OHIO WHICH IS VERY CLOSE TO THE CLYDE, OHIO RED ROOF INN, I WOULD'VE NEVER SEEN THE INSIDE OF RED ROOF IN CLYDE, OHIO. I HAD AN EMERG SITUATION & DROVE THERE TO MEET MY GAL FRIEND BRENDA M, AS SHE WAS ALMOST OFF WORK. WELL, IT WAS A VERY HOT DAY. SO, I WENT INSIDE. OH MY GOSH! THE RED ROOF HERE IN FREMONT OHIO IS ""INDEED"" VERY CLEAN, ORGANIZED NICELY & PLEASANT ATMOSPHERE! I'M SOMEONE THAT'S TRAVELED EXTENSIVELY THROUGHOUT MY LIFE. TO BELGIUM, SWEDEN, ITALY, SPAIN & THROUGH THE U. S. AS WELL. I'M ALSO SOMEONE WHO'S KEEN ON CLEANLINESS. I'D HEARD THAT MY FRIEND WAS ON THE "2ND" FLOOR BY ONE OF HER EMPLOYEES. SO, I WENT UP THERE. IN MY PAST I'VE BEEN IN HOUSEKEEPING IN HOTEL'S & MOTEL'S. SO I "KNOW" HOW THE ROOM'S ARE TO LOOK WHEN YOU 1ST WALK IN & GET SETTLED AS WELL. LET ME SAY THAT THE ROOM'S IN CLYDE OHIO'S RED ROOF INN ARE VERY INVITING! I'D STAY IN A HEARTBEAT IF I WAS IN NEED OF A ROOM. EVEN THE FOLKS TRYING TO GO TO CEDAR POINT COULD STAY HERE. BECAUSE, ROOMS IN THE SURROUNDING AREA'S ARE DIFFICULT TO FIND BECAUSE OF CEDAR POINT. THE FOLK'S THAT WORK THERE CERTAINLY TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR PRESENTATION FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS THAT ARE IN NEED OF A CLEAN & COMFORTABLE ROOM. SOMETIMES HAPPENSTANCE OF SIMPLY BEING SOMEWHERE & SEEING THINGS 1ST HAND ARE A GOOD THING. SO, IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A CLEAN, COMFORTABLE & FRIENDLY PLACE TO STAY GO TO THE CLYDE, OHIO RED ROOF INN.

We came in late, Dawn was on duty and was super helpful. When given our room, it was clean but the odor of smoke was too much, we went right back down and Dawn graciously helped us out with new room, even called to check to make sure the room was okay! We really appreciated all she did for us. Breakfast was good, typical breakfast with room and opened early so we could be on our way! Thank you, Dawn for making our last hotel of our vacation so nice!

Great location. 30 mins to ferry service to Islands. The room was clean and decent. However, the bathtub.there was water in between the tub and the liner forcing you to shower atop a waterbed. Room 218. Very dangerous for those less agile.

This is 15 min from Fremont. It was perfect. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean. Pool was open. Hot breakfast. It was quiet. Great value for the money.

Clean and basic. Good price for breakfast and indoor pool. Would have given a 4 star but it's next to a live train track where trains started blowing there whistles non stop starting at 4 AM.

I've never stayed in a Red Roof Inn. It was quite a bit cheaper than their competitors. That being said, I assumed it would be subpar. I was pleasantly surprised! My room was very clean, had a refrigerator, microwave and a large safe. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was amazing! Not so strong as to remove a layer of skin, but perfect. The breakfast was also a surprise. They have scrambled eggs, bacon, a variety of muffins, yogurt, you can make your own fresh waffles, cereal. I feel like im forgetting something. They have coffee and juice. They have an indoor pool. Which was unfortunately put of service during my stay. I believe they also have a small room with a treadmill and other exercise equipment. The whole place is wheelchair accessible. In the future I will for sure try RRI again.

Well it was a mostly clean room with very good beds. The staff was friendly and efficient. If that's all you need you'll be fine. However, it wasn't clean enough. There was a full cup of old coffee in one of the nightstand drawers, hair on the toilet seat, hair on the towels, and mildew in the corners of the windows. The rooms are also very dated and a little rough around the edges. There were maintenance issues here and there that were minor but there was enough of them that they kind of lent the place a slightly run down feel. The continental breakfast was not great, it's was the bare minimum at best and not very appetizing. Also, apparently the smoking area is right outside the main entrance apparently. I'm an ex smoker so I understand the need but I'm also a cancer patient with severe lung damage who doesn't want to walk through that cloud on the way in.
Overall we've stayed in worse and this place is certainly salvageable. It just needs some attention to bring it up to an acceptable level.

Dawn at the front desk was amazing. Best customer service EVER! My husband has a medical issue preventing him from sleeping in a bed, and she helped us find a comfortable chair for him. Not only that, but she is very friendly and caring. Thanks Dawn! I also love this hotel because my fur babies get to stay free!

We stayed here over Easter weekend, just needed a place to sleep as we were visiting family from several states away. The experience was good, the 5 of us (2 adults, 3 teens) had enough space with the king and double queen suite and so it was quite comfortable. Housekeeping could have been better, there were dried coffee rings on the counter and quite a lot of dust on obvious surfaces (top of a black microwave) but the beds and bathroom were clean. The best part of the stay was Dawn who checked us in and worked 2nd shift all 3 days we were there, her smile is infectious and she was just so sweet! She was always busy but available. In case she sees this we just want to say thank you! And please thank your son and daughter in-law for their service We will come back and stay here again

Very nice, clean, comfortable, quiet with a nice hot breakfast. Fairly convenient to most of vacationland. Have stayed here multiple times now. One of the very best of Red Roof.

This hotel was very welcoming. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice. Overall, good price for the room. Will be back when we visit again.

Awesome check-in experience. We chose this hotel because they have ZERO PET FEES.

The parking lot is huge, rooms clean, free breakfast from 6am to 10am and a check out time of noon.

They accept dogs, I have an affectionate pitbull and I had no problems with her, the price is very good, everything is very clean and coffee is in the room, I loved it.
