Reeves Victorian Home and Carriage House Museum reviews
9Visited Monday December 21. Wow! So impressed. Our Tour Guide Amy was so informative and funny. She knew so many awesome facts. We had a great time and learned many things. Definitely worth a visit. A True Gem with 95 percent original furnishings, it really gives you an immersive experience into History. This tour was better and more interesting than I had ever imagined. The Christmas decorations were thoughtfully arranged and coordinated. They did a beautiful job ️I can't wait to visit again during another Season!
I always go here for the ice cream social. It is a great community event. The home is beautiful.
Love this historic Victorian! Love it so much, that I had my wedding ceremony in the front parlor.
Pleasant afternoon touring victorian mansion. Beautiful home and very nice guide. She was knowledgeable and welcoming.
Lived in Dover my whole life and have been here many times. Everytime I visit I learn something new. This is a wonderful local treasure with an extraordinary picture of life in the Victorian era. The staff is knowledgeable and fun. Went today on a field trip with my daughters class. The staff was patient and kind and enthusiastic to teach the kids. I love this place!
Awesome visit. The Historical Society has done an excellent job preserving and presenting this beautiful home.
I am very hurt and disappointed by my experience with the Vintage Style Show. We showed up a little late to the show because I had a medical situation and the people running the show refused to let us in. I felt extremely hurt because I was looking forward to this event for the past two weeks and drove from 40 minutes away just for this, so I ended up running off the premises in tears. I know there were tickets available still because we called earlier in the day, so I know that wasn't the issue. I also found it incredibly odd that we were turned away from a fundraiser. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a fundraiser? Some constructive feedback I have is perhaps the flyers advertising the event and the Facebook event should have specified a timeline of the event. I figured being slightly late wouldn't be an issue because the advertisement lists "prize raffles, mocktails, light appetizers" all before "vintage fashion show". If the show starts at 3 pm and the entire event starts at 3 pm, then when would there be an opportunity to do all those other things? This seems misleading. If those other things actually start at 2: 30 pm, then that information should be disclosed. So I get there at 3: 15 pm and it seems reasonable to think, "Well, all those other things have to happen too, so I bet the show hasn't started yet. " The advertisements were deceitful. This experience broke my heart. I would not recommend this establishment or their events.
The Style Show was fabulous! And the venue, emcees, music and The Snoopery were awesome. Thanks for this event.
