I ordered DoorDash from here tonight because the pictures looked good and let me tell you, the pictures did not lie it was delicious and I’ll be ordering again

Food so good it'll make you smack your grandma! Every single thing I've had from here has been phenomenal! The ribs are excellent. The jerk chicken is life changing. I can't wait to try the oxtails. Expect a bit of a wait because perfection takes time, and that's what you're going to get. I'm an ex culinary student, and even raw chicken doesn't have blood in it. What you're seeing in that photo in the other review is bone marrow. It was perfectly cooked. I'd give Reggie Ray's 100 stars if I could. Akron is lucky to have this place

I’ve giving up on this place. They are consistently out of menu items, and I waited over a hour for my food and there’s was no one but me at the restaurant. The food and service are Blah! Won’t go there again. They make a way better burger than you do

All I can say is this is the BBQ is very mediocre! Not worth the money. It’s definitely not fresh daily it’s reheated frozen food.whom ever responds to the reviews needs a lesson in customer service, it like a 6th grader responding! No awareness or social skills whatsoever.

They have their order together my last few orders was excellent and the portions are tremendous especially the jumbo chicken wing dinner six huge jumbo wings The food is delicious and would recommend highly

The owner of the business started harassing me via text after this review.

Completely juvenile and unprofessional. I had to threaten to call the cops and block him before he stopped harassing me.

Made me wait over an hour on Saturday at 5 pm to tell me "we ain't got no ribs ready", asked for my CC over the phone though.

Stopped in at noon for lunch and was told they wouldn't serve me because the didn't have staff while 2 ppl stared at me.

This place is an embarrassment.

I’ve given this place two chances and both times they have dropped the ball. Dry chicken, overcooked rubbery shrimp. I also placed a order for the Caribbean pasta and ribs, after waiting 45 min for my order they only had the ribs (didn’t have a Smokey flavor from slow wood smoked, more of a charcoal flavor) and told me they were out of pasta (uh that would have been good to know when I actually placed the order, not when I was picking up. The workers and owner of this place have limited customer service skills and basically act like whatever! Very rude.

I wanted so bad to give this a 5 star rating. First off, this was my first time ordering from them and I don't care, I will DEFINITELY order again. Mistakes were made, but everything was too good to not give them another try. I ordered the jerk chicken over rice and the jerk shrimp over rice and banana pudding. To my surprise it was the REAL banana pudding like Grandma used to make. My yellow rice, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese were all made exactly how I like it. However, my chicken still had blood in it when I poked it with my fork. Even though I'm not thrilled about that, I will just cook it more myself. I never trust chicken on the bone anyways. My hubby had the shrimp, mashed potatoes, yams and coleslaw. It wasn't the sides he ordered but trust me when I say, he wasn't mad AT ALL! It was still good! I will definitely be back and telling more folks!

I love this place. I eat here at least once a week the cashier girl is really funny and always makes me laugh every time never a bad vibe when I go in there. My food is always made fresh there is a little wait time but it’s always worth it.

My first experience I gave this place high praise. My second experience was horrible. They gave us uncooked fries that still had ice on them. I wanted a refund couldn’t get one because they put the money in a drop box and I was told I had to wait for someone to come from Kent to get my refund. Chicken was overcooked and they massacred the macaroni and cheese trying to hurry up and get it done because orders were backed up. Good service from the lady at the counter though. Never go there again. Everybody ain’t meant to be a chief they can only be the indian lesson learned.

Horrible.my fries still ice on them.we have been everywhere trying soul food.we will never be back or anyone else we know that we tell.get your business together or you will close down.so sad because I love supporting independent businesses.

Food is great! BUT service is horrible my fiancé and I ordered from here for the first time today and had an extra long wait because they ran out of noodles and had to go get more for the jerk chicken pasta. Nothing was given or done to compensate for the inconvenience and the extra long wait. Very disappointed in that part of my experience we have to do better.

Located in a quiet area off of kenmore blvd in the historic district. This is what seems to be a family owned restaurant. You can smell the food as you park and approach, while also seeing someone out back freshly grilling food for the day.

The option to eat in and dine out are available as there are full tables and chairs in restaurant. They are also available on door dash and grub hub.

I ordered the salmon and shrimp Caribbean pasta. As well as, banana pudding and a side of Macaroni and cheese. I think I totaled out to about 28 dollars with the pasta being 18 of that. But the price to portion for the main dish was incredible. There was a good portion of shrimp and full fillet of salmon in the pasta. I was able to eat off the pasta 3 times before finishing. The banana pudding was fresh from scratch and baked that day and still warm when I received my order.

The pasta was a little greasy from the cheese in the sauce, there could have been more wafers in the banana pudding for texture and taste, and more air circulating throughout the restaurant to keep it cooler but All three food items were good and the meat was seasoned well.

. First OMG. Second I was ready to dig granny up and sla. Well you guys get what I'm getting at food is amazing and portions are far from shy! I don't ever leave food reviews but this is something that should not go unnoticed! Highly recommend

Poor customer service I spent 100 on food nobody kept being up at the counter to help me with my order because all of the food options were not available on the ordering screen so they told me to write a request of the side of what I wanted to substitute it with for them to still give me the side that I did not want in all my orders and gave me the wrong sides that I did not order in my meal I didn’t get a receipt so I ain’t bother coming back but I will never be back just wasn’t a good experience at all

The food and portions were great.
However the customer service wasn't good at all. I noticed that no one wore gloves either. But next time I'm in Akron I'll give them another try.

Whoever said this place lacks flavor is clinically insane. The food is absolutely delicious. Had it for the first time and will definitely be back for more.

I’m so glad I found this place today. We got a rack of ribs that was AMAZING - sweet and spicy and perfectly cooked. The green beans and macaroni & cheese were so delicious. Service was friendly and food was served hot & fresh. We’ll be back - thank you!
