They have the such a friendly staff and are all so caring of your situation. They make the best out of a stressful and difficult time.

AVOID this clinic at all costs. I gave 1 star because I could not leave 0.

Please note - I posted this review on their Youngstown office as well, and will continue to post it on any other ways this practice appears in Google Ads.

I found this office to be highly unethical, dishonest (flat out lied to us), and took a whole five minutes to explain what they thought our best course of action was and why.

Long story short - they told us and our insurance they are in network for fertility services. We go through testing - which the testing they did (HSG) ended up being poorly performed, and also flat out wrong. They advised based on my HSG, that I had a blocked fallopian tube and we should immediately do IVF, told us we had insurance coverage for fertility services, which we do, and they are in network. I get a phone call out of the blue from a very not nice individual saying that they actually they don't accept insurance for IVF, and that we would need to pay $14,000 at my first baseline ultrasound. This infuriated my husband and I, and our insurance attempted to contact them multiple times as this was misrepresented to our insurance and healthcare concierge as well.

We ultimately left the practice, and went to Family Fertility Center in Bethlehem even though it was five hours away and involved significant travel, and staying overnight with family nearby for appointments. The FFC accepts insurance for fertility treatments - such as IUI and IVF. Dr. Lee of FFC was always suspicious the HSG performed by RGI was not accurate. We did an IUI within three months of switching clinics, got pregnant, but miscarried. We did a second IUI once I recovered from the miscarriage, and I am now 35 weeks pregnant with our baby boy - something RGI insisted would not be possible without IVF (and paying them cash for treatment).

I cannot emphasize how little RGI cares about their patients, how little time they spend with you, and how you feel like it is a revolving door of hopeful parents looking for answers only to be treated terribly.

Please consider other options before becoming a patient at this clinic.

EDIT after the office responded to my initial review on the Youngstown profile: after seeing the response from the business indicating they had no record of me as a patient, I would like to reiterate I was in fact a patient at RGI, and have a file with all my receipts from bills I paid this practice My initial consult was in December 2021, testing was done in December 2022, and the HSG done in January 2022. We left that clinic by February within one week of my follow up zoom with Dr. Maseelall. I visited the Akron and Youngstown office.

I saw Dr. Priya Maseelall once in person for ten minutes, and again on a video call for maybe ten minutes. The HSG that ended up being completely wrong was performed by Dr. Jessica Zolton.

My goal in updating this review is to emphasize how awful of a practice this is, and to warn other families to stay away and find a clinic that cares about you and your partner as individuals and not potential cash cows walking through their doors.

We had a short wait to get started at the Family Fertility Center, but by April we had started our first IUI and by May 2022 got our first positive test.

Again, I think it says a lot about RGI that they can respond to a negative business review posted on a public platform within a few hours, but are not nearly as responsive when you are an actual patient. Absolutely disgraceful.

This place would get 5 stars if I didnt feel like their communication with patients is totally rushed, unclear, and incredibly frustrating. Infertility, an already difficult situation, made worse by poor quality of care due to too many patients with not enough staff to support them. I was often interrupted and told what my treatment plan was, versus being asked about what I thought or wanted. I have never left a review of a place before, but felt it was important to urge families to assert themselves and ask questions if you go here. Physicians seem intelligent, are personable, and up to date with latest research and techniques, so that's a plus.

Dr. Mooney is by far the nicest guy ever. He is caring, compassionate and doesn’t sugarcoat anything. I have only been to his office twice but I definitely will be going back
