It is a welcoming place from the moment the person arrives, they are friendly, supportive and respectful. They don't have no for an answer, they help anyone who needs it, they have rules for residents that include 3 meals a day, chapel service, bathrooms and showers available, they have an organization and cleanliness of the center in excellent condition, the same as the bedrooms and the hospital area.laundry as a requirement they do a doping (drug) test in the first 7 to 10 days of receiving the aid. It has private rooms when there are minors and they are placed with their parents in the same room. The dining area is spacious, clean, and the food is very well managed and fresh. They offer clothes in perfect condition for both adults and children. They give away a personal hygiene kit and their location is accessible, they guide you and offer forms for Housing, etc, etc. I recommend it 100%. The only thing they don't have is staff or interpreters in Spanish, but you can use the Google Translate app and they assist you with They gladly have demands and rules for the safety and well-being of everyone.

Friendly & helpful staff, who truly care about everyone who comes through their door. The facility is clean and well maintained. They provide 3 meals every day, and will help with clothing, hygiene products, etc. They house single men on one side and house single women, single women w/kids, and families on the other side. There's a laundry room for residents to use. They have helped us when we at the bottom of the barrel and I simply can't say enough great hints about them. There are also Chapel services available to attend and it truly is important to always pt God 1st especially in these types of situations.

Ashe it means peace and prosperity, staying at the shelter was a interesting experience, I went through Domestic Violence problem where I was being gangstalked and slandered by my ex and flying monkeys. My ex called the shelter slandered me to director and management people with common sense can see it's a bitter ex making up lies but the shelter decided to jump on their team so they sent a flying monkey out to speak on the slander indirectly her name is amber aka the chic that does their dirty work. I don't have to get into details the same way y'all zoom in them cameras and rewind them, is the same way my spirit team observes plotting and set ups in the background, you play checkers my angels play chess.do not place your mouth on a annointed one you seen surface level but you don't know my spiritual ranking but u will. If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. This facility expresses that they operate off faith and the word of God but their dishonesty has definitely proven otherwise. I was released from the hospital about a month and a half ago after a severe spinal surgery which caused our family to lose our home. Upon leaving the hospital my drug test showed negative as we knew it would. Upon entry into RMMV they drug tested and said I failed the test which was absolutely not possible. I was then told that I had 38 days to pass the next test in order to remain at the facility. They did not wait the 38 days and gave my another test sooner which of course I passed without hesitation. 9 days later on 9/26/2023 they decided to retest and told me that I failed the test and had to leave the facility. I had just had a blood work test from the hospital the day prior which showed all negative as I knew it would be. They are producing false positive test results in order to remove people from the facility putting families that need the help on jeopardy. Upon requesting a 2nd test knowing the first was false, they refused to retest. I have scheduled Dr appointments for the following day to show and prove that this place is falsely accusing clients of using when they are not. This has been demoralizing to say the least. I have been instructed by my Drs to contact the city mayors office along with the attorney generals office, and an attorney, which we will be doing tomorrow so they can investigate this matter closer. God will see us through this nonsense as we know He always does but we will not let this such of behavior go without the proper people knowing. If you are supporting this program I highly encourage you to reconsider where you are donating. We will also be in contact with all the donors that we are aware of to notify them of this ridiculous situation. I have also just taken an at home test which also showed a negative result. This is wrong in every sort of way and we will do everything necessary to expose this ludicrous behavior. We will be making videos to our many subscribers both on YouTube and Tik Tok to keep everyone updated so make sure to tune in.

This place is about numbers and money. They are definitely not helping people. They lie, they give false reports and they definitely discriminate against men that have kids. After watching what they did to my dad this place should be closed and investigated. Thankfully my dad has the news company on his side along with some other people.

Wonderful place with very understanding and compassionate, caring staff. Really love the ministry and church everyday and evening and Sunday, too. God is good.all the time!

The Mission gave me an initial sense of hope, with an “arms wide open” type approach that was emotionally charging upon intake and several days in. Within a weeks time, it was painfully obvious that this place not only poses as a welcoming, family safe facility, the Christian backbone of RMMV does not mirror what it claims to value. Intentionally forcing clients to continuously question themselves in an already demoralizing setting, using manipulative tactics to cause emotional pain and suffering proved itself to be at the forefront of most of the staff’s daily agenda. Ultimately, if you’re looking to be part of a program that presents itself as a modern day salvation but proves to be the “gas-lighting” manipulators of tomorrow, RMMV is the place for you to hone your evil and mentally abuse your family, friends & peers. 4 1/2 months there nearly killed me and I say that without any fabrication.

This place came in handle when I needed it most. The rooms are spacious and clean. You can bring some food to put in your locker and they provide three meals for you. Most of the staff is friendly and of course you have tho use you like the most. You are to be up early and everyday is church except Saturday in which if you do decide to go to church it’s at 4pm. If not you are to go outside you aren’t allow inside the building. You can bring you own humidifier which I Suggest doing as the air is dry. Some room are really cold and other are warm. You can have up to five things in the fridge but for only three days at a time. They do offer plenty of resources to help you get on your feet I would suggest doing research on your own thou and getting proactive in advance. As long as you abide by the rules you will be fine here. This is one of the best shelters I ever been at and am greatful to have had the chance to be here to get on my feet. They do drugs test and do not tolerate it if and should you be found with it or in your system. If you should need daily supplies to take care of hygiene or diapers for babies they have those things for you. Clothes, shoes, shocks Ect they are great at getting stuff you need. They offer 9 mths here but longer if you are working towards your goals and need that extra boost. You do have to save up if you are working which is great cause you’ll have that money when you leave. You can get a dress bus from there anywhere you need to go and they have resources for work as well. Rescue mission thank you to the person that established this place it has been a blessing for us.

If you have any usable winter coats or boots, these folks can make good use of your clothing donation.

The Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley is the best place in the entire city for helping the homeless. The environment was clean, new, fresh and welcoming. I had a very pleasant experience, and will recommend them to everyone in need. Thank you Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley

Received a tour of the new facility. I couldn't have been more impressed with the facility, the staff and the policies. If you're looking for some place to donate to, this is definitely a worth while cause.

Great place! Just make sure that, if you plan to, stay out overnight. You get it approved by the staff in advance. Otherwise, they may give your bed away. And you won't be able to return for, 30 days.
