Rick and his crew did an outstanding job on the retaining walls and walk for our driveway! Rick was very responsive to our initial request and kept us well informed through the whole process. The extra care to details and finished job exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend!

The best. Every step was well done, from the rock solid base to the final fit and finish. Jesus was a pleasure to work with as he tried to accommodate our minor changes and any concerns. We could not be more pleased. There might be some crews as good, but you won't find any better. Very talented and conscientious. Highly recommend these people.

RIck and his guys—Jesus, Felix and Ben are artists. They are extremely talented, hard working, on time, deliver as promised and enjoyable to work with. His quote was reasonable, we added to the job and it just made everything better. He even raised and leveled my shed—a huge bonus and recommended design changes that we are extremely happy about. They can seemingly do anything. Everything was put back together—the lighting, the sprinkler heads, the mulch. I would not hesitate to use RIck Curtis again.

This review is long overdue but Rick and his crew did a top notch job on our fireplace / covered deck installation. We had an existing builder grade deck and wanted a covered deck with a 2 story fireplace and Rick's team handled every request and provided the top level craftsmanship we desired. The crew was on site daily and handled and changes on the fly seamlessly. We have already recommended Rick and his company to our neighbors but wanted to give some more praise where it is due. I highly recommend Rick Curtis Hardscapes for your future hardscape project. The job was completed within 2.5 days of starting. The pricing was very fair and I’m just so impressed with the craftsmanship by Jesus and the staff. Upon completion, the guys did a thorough job getting the yard restored and took clear pride in leaving things as close to the way they found it as possible and finished it off with seed, hay, etc.

Needed to repair a retaining wall along driveway that was about to fall, Rick came out quickly and the quote was reasonable for the scope of the work. His crew was out 2 days later and got the job done in 3 days. They did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend him if you need high quality work at a reasonable price. Rick's Hardscapes did a paver patio for us and a retention wall. They did a very wonderful job and were very professional and prompt. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Rick’s team did an absolutely beautiful job installing our new patio. Once I contacted him I was able to get on their schedule to begin about a month later. The timing could not have been better. Now I have room outside to enjoy our backyard this summer and the patio is going to last a VERY long time with how well built it is! (We still have to install a railing or a privacy fence on the higher side but that is an easy DIY). They even put down grass seed once they were finished to make sure our lawn will look nice. The price was very fair too, and I had a lot of quotes from deck and concrete companies. I’d recommend him and his team to anyone.

Rick and his crew did a phenomenal job on repointing my flagstone pavers and repairing a retaining wall. He responded quickly to my initial request for a quote, and I was scheduled quickly. Workers were professional and left the area clean. Would definitely work with this company again.

Rick came very quickly to do an appraisal and called back promptly with the bid. However, after I asked him to send it in writing, he did not. I emailed through the website (as he asked to to leave my email) two times with no response either time. I called him, and he said he sent the bid. He did not. In business, if a person does not want to do a job, I would rather a person be honest and say that. It is quite frustrating!

This is the second time I've used Rick Curtis for a flagstone walk. This time, I needed a patio walkout from a side entrance with a walkway to the drive. The original house was built with nothing more than gravel surfaces for the walkout and path.

Rick answers the phone, comes personally, and inspects the project. He comes up with a quote which reflects the true amount of work and effort to do the job right. On the last job, he was the only estimate that realized a water conduit would be necessary to siphon the water under the walkway during rain.

His workers raised the patio to be correct for the foundation and set the pavers in the walkway to meet the patio with a bluestone paver. They also raised the window well with pavers to match the patio height.

There was a small bump in the completion of the project when it was realized that one of the steps had paint stains. Without any prodding he was out the next day with his men and power cleaned the steps.

His price and estimate was at the high end of other estimates. But, the project was completed on time and the result was great. Finding a contractor who is true to his word, completes the job, is willing to change or alter the job based on how it progresses, and stands by his work is rare.

I give him five stars.

We really recommend Rick Curtis. Last year he helped us in so many ways to achieve our vision of our back patio, and the process didn't take long at all. He listened to what we wanted and the cost we were considering, and he walked us through the pro's and con's of the different types of stones and design options. He didn't need fancy software to design it- he knew the plan, translated to his skilled team, and they executed it until all parties were happy. When it was finishing up there was an area around the step that didn't have the finished look that I envisioned; when he heard that, they worked on it to quickly fix it, and it is truly excellent and exactly what we wanted. Rick Curtis and his crew did a fantastic job of removing two retaining walls around our swimming pool that were not installed properly 14 years ago (i.e. No geogrid). The walls were leaning and bowing, eventually becoming unsafe. Rick properly reinstalled the original Uniloc blocks with geogrid and deck pavers. I would recommend this company for any hardscape project.

Called for estimate. Got a return call weeks later. Rick came to house and gave a verbal estimate. I looked at pavers and called to touch bases on doing the job. Said he sent a email bid. I said you couldn't have you haven't got my email address yet. Gave him my info and waited. Days went by and no email bid. Called him a week or so later and he told me he thought he sent my bid. Then asked me what bid had he given me and guessed $2000 more than his first bid before I could answer. When I told him his verbal bid he hesitated and asked for my info again and suggested he come look at the job again. I again sent him all my info so he would email my bid. It has been days with no response by email or to come out and revisit the job.
I chose him because of his good reviews, but now I'm done and moving on. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Rick and his construction team did a phenomenal job in building our paver backyard. Their work is quickly completed in two weeks and it turned out great! We love it a lot. Their construction team is very professional and is attending to our requests, made adjustment we wanted along the way while finishing the job. We loved our newly built stairs and four corner walls. We enjoyed staring at our new paver every morning through the windows. Highly Recommend!

Rick and his crew did great job building our paver patio. After submitting the quote request, I got the call on the second day. Rick came on-site within a week and gave us a very reasonable price, down to the earth. Construction started the next week. The crew was polite and professional, they came on time every morning and cleaned up debris and dust on the drive way everytime before they left the site. The completed patio looks great, I recommend this team for your project.
