Riverview Towers, Massillon OH

I was contacted by the property manager (Maryanne) about my name being to the top of the list. I was told the unit would not be vacated by the current tenant until 07/31. She informed me he was dirty and lots of work would need done-but that she anticipated the work would be done by 08/09-08/10. I told her I currently live in public housing and would need to give my current landlord a 30 day notice, as per HUD guidelines. I told her the soonest I would be available to move would be 09/01-just a couple weeks after she anticipated the unit being completed. She said that wasn’t possible and that I would have to commit to the unit sight unseen, give my 30 day notice to my current landlord, and move by middle of August. I expressed concern over this rushed process, and she would not budge. In fact, she said she would go to next in line, which she did. I have never had a public housing landlord or property manager be so pushy. It was extremely off putting. I requested my name be removed from her waitlist altogether. If I looked at the unit when it was completed 08/10, and agreed to take it, I would give my landlord a 30 day notice-that would end 09/10…. I said I could do 09/01 and that wasn’t acceptable. This put a very bad taste in my mouth and I won’t consider renting from K&D in the future.

*The response from the property manager is simply not true. I brought up the rushed move date several times and Maryanne stated 09/01 was absolutely not acceptable and that moving middle of August was the only option. My recommendation to anyone considering renting from K&D is to do your research. They are located in Willoughby OH and have lots of concerning reviews from current and former tenants. Obviously a very dishonest company that has no issue bending the truth to fit their narrative. Additionally, I doubt any proper vetting is happening when they are rushing to fill units the way they are. Good riddance!

I've been living here for a month now and couldn't be happier, the staff here really take care of this place its very clean and quiet.

Very clean. Excellent staff. Great place for elderly and physically impaired. Activities and things to do if you are interested. Again very clean. Maintenance personnel very helpful. Great place for elderly. Also very close to restaurants and some shopping. Within walking distance.
