Rocky Lakes Golf Course reviews
16Tee times was around 9am. There's a bar inside for alcohol and food. Nice atmosphere. Bartenders were awesome
The guy running the club house let me tee off 30 minutes early. Great. Price was fine. Course was suitable. But, I played 5 holes in 45 minutes, then I got behind a very slow group who refused to let me play through and it took an hour to play 4 holes. I won't go back. (Dave)
Thank you for accommodating our group.great people in the clubhouse who did as best they could for how we changed our plans/Tee times because people were late. We had to change our needs last minute and they did amazing for us and the other Tee Times behind us. Thanks for being so easy to get along with.
Fairways and greens are well maintained. The course is interesting and appropriately challenging with waterways. Pull and drive carts available. Not crowded. 18 holes. Affordable.
The Golfing was great. Bogey's even better. Had wings & a Deluxe pizza to go. Wings are best in town. The Pizza is also the best you can get anywhere
I played this course on July 4th with a 7: 30am tee time. Pulling up seems interesting as it looks like you are just going to the gas station but It is actually a great course.well maintained.challenging and one of the best values I have experienced at $32 to ride 18 on a holiday Sunday morning! I'll be back for sure
This is a complete edit of my original review. As you can see by the owner response, I said something about a few dirty greens and fairways the day after a storm. While that was true, I should've waited to play there a few more times. I have now played 9 three times here and today played a solo 18. Gotta say the course is pretty nice.
I'm sticking by saying nothing crazy or anything but it is a fun course with some challenging holes and some good setups. The greens were in perfect shape and for being really wet from the rain/morning dew they were moving at a really nice pace.
I'd say my average experience here has been 4 stars and today was easily 5. Really not gonna find a better course for $32 riding 18 and I've definitely paid more for courses I don't enjoy as much as this one
I played probably 30 rounds there last year at times the heavier grass made my rounds more challenging than others. I have lost many golf balls due to my ability being at an amateur level. Staff our wonderful and that is what keeps me going back and supporting them. Yea the front 9 has zero par 5's but trying to break 40 on it is so much fun!
Fantastic course outside of YellowSprings! Nice short par 70 with drivable greens from thw white tees
It’s definitely a beginners course. Which is fine, I grew up playing there every summer. But last year the course was in awful shape. As of May 2021.the course is still in awful shape. Fairways are over grown. Weeds and dandelions everywhere. Hole 15 has the same trench/racing stripe through the green as it did last season. There is 1 nice employee (middle aged female, was there on Sunday), all other staff is unpleasant. This should be priced like a par 3 course, it plays like and is kept like a par 3 course. It’s currently over priced. If the price point was reflective of the course condition, I’d frequent the course a lot more. You can go either direction and place much nicer courses for similar price. 2 stars is more for the bar and grill, food is good. But that seems to be more of their concern than the golf course.
Had a great day, the course was in excellent shape. There was some waiting at the tee boxes due to alot of people playing today. But everyone was in great spirits. We ate lunch at Bogeys the bar, the bbq wings are delicious!
I'm not going to bash it to hard, but played back 9 tonight. Cost for 9 was $21. Hasn't been mowed in some time and was hard to tell the fairways from the rough. Greens was covered in ant hills and haven't been cleaned off in some time. Major dandelion problems right now.
Nice layout with tough sloping greens. Easy to get Rocky Lakes right of 70 east. I always love playing here. Great staff and hospitality
My dad and I have played here for the past 3 years, sometimes 3 times a week. A very fun course that is well kept. The back 9 is more challenging than the front. Excellent to play a round then go get a beer at the bar.
Good local course. $25 for 18 and cart. Back 9 more challenging than front. Good water hazards. Fairly flat.
