Rocky River Park reviews
18I've been going here since I was a kid when it was called Beachcliff always busy always beautiful!
Perfect park for a sunset view.
I have to come back and take a walk to look around and I did see some great improvements going on.
My favorite park to watch sunsets. We always loved bringing our kids down here and now we get to bring our two grand babies too. Have lived in Rocky River almost 40 years and love this city!
Just a spectacular small park!
Parking right off the main road. Kids playground is just down the stairs. To the left from the bottom leads stairs to a balcony area with a great view of the lake. To the right fun the bottom of the stairs is another path with a great view of the lake.
Throughout they have tables and benches to relax and enjoy the views.
Speaking of that view it's just incredible! Great for a sunset! Awesome if you like sunset or bird photography. Very solid location for a couples photoshoot, which is what I did.
I just like that it's small and not very large with an incredible view.
Very pleasant park in a residential neighborhood. Has a small beach area to enjoy the water, lined with benches to sit and view the lake; observation deck; nice children's playground; open field for play; pavilion for concerts and picnics. Lovely park to enjoy Lake Erie in a park setting.
This park is what we call a best kept secret. It's tucked away between houses on a street of mansions in Rocky River. There is a very small sandy beach area and rock cliffs to sit on above the water. There is also a hilly area above that with benches and trees. Above that there is a small playground, pavillion, and amphitheater. This is a very small park and is not good for all purposes, for example, bringing ten kids to play on the beach. However, it is intimate and private with lots of places you could sit by yourself or with a partner and watch the water, talk, have a picnic, read a book, be alone, or watch the sunset. I think of it as a cliff by the sea and I often go there to be alone and meditate by the tree on the cliff. Bathrooms available. Limited parking and closes at sunset, enforced by a swing gate at the lot entrance. Very safe.
It is something that people who live here forget that they have the opportunity to enjoy one of the Great lakes.
The rolling waves are always relentless in winter time until they get frozen, yet even under the ice it is churning.
It is something living with lake Erie in regards of the tiny spots to make memories.
We go a lot. Kids love to throw rocks in the lake and the new playground is big and nice for lots of kids
Beautiful lake views and several benches, large reservable covered area too. Great new pirate ship playground. Also has swings that an adult and infant/toddler can ride together. Playground has nice shielding from the wind.
There is a playground with swings and a slice or two which is good for the kids. I especially liked how there are benches and places to sit all over the park so the you can watch your kids and look at the lake. Even though there is no swimming allowed there are tons of shells and sea glass that washes up and you can collect. Overall I had a good time at the park.
This place is like a different dimension. You're GPS may say Cleveland but, to the senses it feels miles away. Very nice trails and facilities. Very nice overall.
Lovely setting to look at lake Erie. Community around park has beautiful homes that helps set the mood of peace and tranquility. Worth the effort to come here.
Such a lovely park & playground area. Fabulous views of Lake Erie. Flush toilets and l o.k ts of picnic tables. One of our favorite parks.
Nice neighborhood park on the Lake. I stopped here to take some time to relax while biking in the area. Looks like a great place for kids to have fun, and very relaxing with a great view for everyone.
It's was a nice place to stop and take a deep breath at. There was a decent amount of people there, but everyone kept their distance and was respectful of your space.
I like coming here with my young kids. There's several things that keep them occupied: a playground, access to the lake for splashing around or looking at rocks (although Lake Erie water is so high there's hardly any beach left and no lifeguard on duty if you're looking to swim), a pavilion and picnic tables, a big staircase up to a higher vantage point overlooking the lake with swinging benches, grassy and shaded areas, too. They have bathrooms and parking is decent (not plentiful) with handicap parking spaces closest to the entry points. It's a small cozy park with good views of the lake. It's nestled back in a very quiet suburban neighborhood.
I grew up going to this park and had my wedding pictures there. It is right on Lake Erie. This summer (2021) there is no beach as the water level is very high. Nice playground, great picnic shelter. Parking is very limited.
