Ron Zehel Guitar Center reviews
7I've been going to this store since Ron himself was teaching. The young men who took over for him have always known what I want to know and either had what I wanted or were able to get it. I can't recommend them highly enough. In North Central Ohio when you are a guitarist you go to Ron Zehels (THE ORIGINAL!).
Wow, their customer service is outstanding. I had a buzzing sound in my guitar and Brad not only fixed the problem, he gave my guitar an overall tune up and educated me on what I did to cause the problem - with no judgement either. This was all for FREE. He also recommended a different type of string to use. I usually live in NYC and you NEVER get this kind of customer service and support. Thank you Brad!
Been going there for years. Staff will help you figure out what you need, teachers are great, and the Rock Academy is a lot of fun!
Don't expect to find your dream guitar here but that is not what this place is for (though they did have some good beginner guitars in stock like a Yamaha Pacifica and Squire Affinity). In talking with staff for a while, this is a learning center and with a focus on creating band experiences for students, cool. I will keep this place in mind when my kids are old enough to play.
Brad is a great person who knows exactly how to address any problem you might have with your instrument he not only saw the problem with my guitar but he fixed it by adjusting my neck. Complete pro and a good friend thanks Brad I'll be back soon.
This isn't a real guitar center, just an old small place. Terrible selection in acoustics or anything else for that matter. If you have nowhere else to go and just need strings, this is the place I suppose. I think the guys main income comes from lessons. The guy was kinda rude too, he seemed maybe a little overwhelmed with too many things going at once. He was especially rude to an old couple that was trying to sell him their classical. He hadn't even heard of the maker of the guitar and jotted down the information and their phone number. I asked if I could look at it and he laughed in my face and told me to go outside, he's got a business to run. I left. I found out the guitar they were selling was a $500 guitar. His loss, my gain. Peace.
