Recently moved up here from Florida, only person to ever touch my hair previously was my mother who is a hair dresser of 24 years.going in I had done my own color removing treatments on red hair dye. Stuck at the pinky/orange color, Got to a point where I knew I shouldn’t go any further on my own.

Heard a bunch by word of mouth and through social media of this gem of a salon, so, I called in yesterday morning and they got me in touch with the owner of the salon very promptly to start the process of my appt, within 24 hours she had me sitting in her chair and working on getting me to my desired out come. 3 hours later, a team of three AMAZINGLY TALENTED hair dressers, Trisha, Emily and Siera, and I left without words to even explain my excitement! All I could say was thank you repeatedly. Everyone in the salon was so welcoming and made me feel calm and welcomed without question and instantly. The salon itself is so so so cute and so tastefully designed. I’ve never seen one quite like it! Also, have you ever been offered a bean bag to rest your feet one? Cause I haven’t and it was definitely a great offer, something not every salon thinks of! Can’t wait to return in the future.

Don’t waste your time as they waste yours. Had an 11 appointment made over two weeks ago and waited 20 minutes until 11: 15. Josh was nowhere to be seen. This place was recommended but will gladly give my hard earned dollars to a chain. Better customer service and communication would have been helpful.

Josh is an amazing Barber and a great guy. He's cut my hair multiple times and I've never received more compliments on any haircuts I've had in the past as I have from his work. If you haven't yet, do yourself a favor and check Roots out!

Today was my second time coming to Roots to see Maureen. I absolutely love this salon. It has a really cool vibe, lots of bright colors and just a happy place. Maureen has been fantastic and is super sweet too! I first went in to get a significant hair cut and she took her time to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it. The cut came out really cute! I went in today to finally get highlights again after not having them done in forever. I absolutely love the color. Again she’s great at explaining the options and providing opinion on what would look best which I appreciate. She also gives a great head massage. You can also have her do eyebrows or your nails while your color processes. I got my brows waxed and they’re shaped perfectly. I also enjoyed hanging out in the massage chair while my color processed.

I think the price is very reasonable for the quality and service you get.

Iv been coming here for 3 years & my stylist is Maurene Love, she is the best in everything she does! I highly recommend her for whatever services you may need.

I have always felt as a guy with shorter hair that haircuts are a chore to get done. My better half told me to go try Roots, as she had heard good things. I scheduled appointment online (super easy), and when I showed up I was in a chair within a few minutes. Dan was extremely personable, professional and did an outstanding job. My favorite part of this experience was that I didn't feel rushed. We are constantly on the go, and it felt really great to be able to enjoy getting a haircut for the first time in a long time. Thank you Dan, I will be coming back for sure. Kudos to the owner for creating a positive space as well.

This was THEE MOST AMAZING SALON EXPERIENCE! Trish is a true artist when it comes to color, cut and styling. The entire staff was so welcoming and warm, the salon has so many personal touches and you can feel the love as soon as you walk in the door. Without a doubt 100% recommend and I will be going back!

Renee is absolutely amazing. She is always taking the time to help me decide on what style I want that day, as it is an ever changing style. Great smelling products and as always, great conversation. Stopped into Roots Salon & Barbershack today for a haircut. Trisha graciously accommodated me on short notice and after a short wait during the busiest time of day, gave me an exemplary cut. At 1st glance, I thought this was a place catering to Mils and Gen Z's. When I arrived it was loaded with young kids. I'm 70+, grew up in 60's and 70's. Needless to say, it is impressive for this staff to pull off a warm, professional, loving vibe emitting comfort that transcends ages 5-75. AND delivering a high quality, current, fashion product for any age group. Suggests a recommendation, requires a return visit.

I’ve gone from black to blonde to black and back again. Leona is the only hair dresser to carry me on that journey with integrity and honesty. I have taken my hair from extreme to extreme and Leona has someone always managed to keep it looking healthy and beautiful, while still having fun.
