Several years ago my husband and I started our search for a financial advisor that specialized in advising those close to retirement or who had already retired. We were fortunate to have met Don Ross of Ross Wealth Advisors. Don developed a plan based on our needs and desires for our retirement. He has made himself and his team of professionals available to us as we prepare for the retirement date. We trusted Don Ross with our life savings and after several years with him he recommended a large, long term investment that was not sustainable, not liquid and eliminated our flexibility in retirement. Don never disclosed to us that he was earning a substantial commission on our investment when we thought he was giving us independent financial advice. We lost a large amount of our retirement savings and ended up with extremely high tax bills.
