Surprisingly fast response, showed up about an hour after calling for service. Blake was very knowledgeable, fixed the issue, and fixed another potential problem he noticed while inspecting the hot water tank.

My 86 year old grandmother paid $5,000 to have a 150 foot section of downspout pipe that goes to the street replaced. We had a technician out initially to try and snake the drain. The tech worked for 20 minutes with a hydro jet and decided that the pipe was broken underground. They charged $500 for a 20 minute service. He then told us that another tech would be out the following day to run a camera and locator through the pipe to decide what further action needed to be taken. That tech was there for another 20 minutes and did nothing but right a quote for having the pipe replaced. He initially told us that it would cost $3,900 dollars, he then spoke on the phone with a supervisor who told us that it would cost an additional $4,500 to have it fixed. So that’s how we got to $5,000. We were told they would call the day before before they came to do the work which they did not. They did the work in 1 day. It wasn’t a small job, but hardly worth $5,000. They left a huge mess of boulders, roots and broken concrete on my grandmas yard and told her that it would “settle out in 5 to 8 months” and that they weren’t landscapers. For 5k they could’ve tried harder to clean up their mess. They also took $20 worth of corrugated pipe that I had temporarily rigged up so that her basement wouldn’t flood. Sure, she now has a good piece of pipe in the ground but I’m pretty unhappy with the way they treated my grandmother and her property. They didn’t cover the concrete that they put in and it rained on it. The day after, my grandma is almost in tears because of the way they left her yard.

I've had roto rooter from the miami st in akron location come to my house in stow twice now. Once for pipe snaking and now once to replace an old drum trap. AJ just came out today to replace my old drum trap and galvanized steel pipes in one of my bathrooms. He was super awesome, explained everything and cleaned up after himself (and myself from my own patch work). Great attitude and got the work done fast and even worked with my home warranty to make sure I was covered. He is one of the reasons while I will keep using this company.

Kitchen sink wouldn't drain called and they were her in 45 minutes! Definitely worth the call and great service! Six month guarantee!

Called on a Saturday night for a backed up main sewer drain, Randy showed up within the hour. I can not say enough great things about Roto Rooter but most importantly about Randy. Ended up being a two day job and had me as a priority the very next day. Was here on Sunday at 8am to finish the job. Told me all honest ways of fixing the issue and the best way to go about it. Randy is an asset to roto and they now have a forever client from me! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Terrible experience with Roto Rooter, after spending over $200 to clear drain, it was still clogged. We are updating the bathroom and our contractor showed us this hot mess. Also got over charged for the hot water tank valve and pipe, along with a permit fee of $275 (the county only charges $40)

Terrible experience with Roto-Rooter! We had called them for a clogged bathroom sink drain. They diagnosed the problem as a main drain line clog and wanted to snake it from the toilet in the same bathroom. I assumed they were correct because they are the "professionals" and let them do their thing. They removed my toilet and ran their machine that cleans out the drain. Flinging all sorts of black goop all over my bathroom during the process. An hour later, they had put my toilet back and left a huge mess on the floor and all over the walls! To make matters worse, my sink was still clogged! They said there is something wrong with the pipes, possibly a crack and wanted to put a camera in there which they did not have at the time and would need to come back. I was extremely upset at this point, paid the fee for their "service" and asked them not to come back. After they had left I called another plumbing service and explained my situation.they suggested I could clean the pipes out under the sink if I was handy enough. I did as instructed and now my sink drains like normal! I will NEVER call Roto-Rooter again.

My wife and I have learned in the last three years that if you just have standard plumbing work to be scheduled and done, there are plenty of good guys locally who will likely do a good job and probably cheaper than Roto Rooter. But when the going gets tough and you have an after hours or weekend emergency, Roto Rooter are your guys. Two incidents at our home in the last three years, both times they were the only ones available that night. Even better, arrived in 30 minutes both times. Had to have one of our home’s main drains cleared tonight (Friday at 7pm) - couldn’t do it myself, sadly I tried but failed. Adam arrived in 30 minutes, was more friendly and professional than I could ever have expected. Less than an hour later, had us clear and flowing. Accepted the coupon on their website and, ultimately, ended up the same price as quoted by the “local guy” who said he couldn’t get here until some time on Saturday. Thank you Adam - enjoyed talking with you and job well done, timely and fair priced!

We discovered Sunday morning that our sump pump broke during the night. We called roto rooter and the sump pump was replaced by 9: 30 a.m. By the plumber, A. J. Karder. He was very polite and efficient.

I called and received same day service on a severely clogged kitchen drain. Tim was the plumber who came out and was extremely polite and professional! He took the time to also thoroughly explain everything prior to doing the work. Excellent customer service!

I had water coming into my basement and needed assistance right away. Roto-Rooter was actually the 3rd plumber I called, but they were out within an hour and were professional and offered several options. Roto-Rooter will now be the FIRST call I make if I should need a plumber in the future!

Had a sewer backup in my basement and Roto-rooter was in my house fixing the issue within the hour. Randy, the plumber, was polite, fast and fixed the issue. Great experience and I will be calling them back for any future issues.
