I have never had a problem with waste pick-up no matter what it's been. I did have two mattresses I arranged to be picked up- they were early and actually waited for me to load them up and get to the street. Great job!
We have used Rumpke for waste pickup for over 5 years and we have had great service. While other companies are charging more, Rumpke has stayed consistent with their costs. We highly recommend Rumpke.

They do a very good job. I would like to see both sides of the street done at the same time to save gas, air pollution and truck upkeep expense rather than going up and down twice but they do a great job.
We have used Rumpke for residential trash pickup for several years. Our pickup is always on time and Norm is great!
Terrible! I wish I could get zero stars! I hate coming home from work every Thursday after trash pick up because every time the cans are deliberately lined up across half of my driveway. Sometimes we even have to stop in the street and move the cans before we can even pull into our driveway which is a safety concern, especially since I almost always have my young son in the car. You can drive down our road and see almost all the cans either in the roadway or thrown over. Completely unacceptable!
I run a community that has trash service from Rumpke. The worst service ever I have to call them several times a month for skipping cans. They say they are going to correct the issue.but never do. I even had a meeting with one of the supervisors, and since then service has gotten even worse! I do not recommend.
It’s been two weeks, and you still haven’t picked up my garbage. Once is an accident, twice is negligence. I called to let someone know, and they guaranteed me that someone would pick it up yesterday. That didn’t happen. I called again today; was guaranteed it would be picked up by 6pm. Never happened. I even had the city of Westlake call you and verify that it would be picked up. You legit have one job. How is it possible to fail so hard at it?
Update: you’ve also thrown my recycling can, that I’ve paid for, every single time you’ve emptied it without bothering to put the lid back on. I called to talk about reimbursement seeing as I can’t very well get credit for my service due to not getting a direct bill, and you haven’t returned my calls.
I have called Rumpke only to waste time with their new phone system, it's designed so you can't get to a live person. To be fair, their subpar service is due to fact they do not pay union wages. This is what our democrat Mayor chose for our community. He did not want our service department picking up refuse, instead they work on the Ymca building which was purchased from a failing party center. Welcome to NR.
Our recycling wasn't getting picked up. I find out from a neighbor Rumpke was cancelling it and letters were going out as of 1/1. It's 1/30 and we haven't had pick up and haven't received a letter. But we got a bill for recycling. AND the rate went up.
Our community has a contracted rate but they upped all of our rates in the last bill. Some neighbors would have paid it but luckily we all communicate with each other to say it's not correct. But those of us who contact the company NEVER hear anything back.
The only communication I EVER get from Rumpke is incorrect bills or collections notices because I'm not paying incorrect bills and I wait WEEKS for them to be corrected.
Several months ago when I was calling with a question it took me 5 transfers + on hold indefinitely to hear that I reached the wrong department and put on hold again. I had to finally give up to the phone and write an angry "how do I get a hold of you" message on Facebook to get someone to get back to me.
The service offering fits the service they give: TRASH.
Rumpke is a trashy company, no pun intended, this company is garbage, after 6 months we have had enough and hired a new company.can't help myself, they treat their customers like refuse!
Every time waste cans are emptied put on edge of driveway and on street watched worker let it fall into street very windy can in street he looks back at it and keeps walking, really, really what a professional company week after week after week cans in street too bad they moved to Broadview Heights they city service was far superior. Put in a call no guarantees can will be moved out of street and they are still in neighborhood. Am not there saw it on camera.now I have a can blowing down the street and they probably will run it over. REAL PROFESSIONALS this Rummy outfit.
Truck was blocking a single lane road, east lakeside, by the pinnacle building downtown for over 5 minutes. No employee was present. Traffic had to drive on the sidewalk to get around. License plate PGT1576

Wouldn't empty the trash container but picked up all surrounding trash and recycle. When I called they told me my account had been on "vacation hold" for the past 3 months. Then why were they picking up our trash? I had to call my township to have them remove a non existent "hold" on my account until they would schedule a pick up. I called the township who knew of no such hold being placed on my account. The township apparently contacted Rumpke and let them know there was no hold. I just got off the phone with Rumpke, of course they arent coming back to get the trash and we have to wait an entire week until they will, on our next scheduled date. Our contianer is full which means we will have many extra bags piling up. I feel as though I was lied to and the story makes no sense. Not to mention the containers are always emptied and then placed back down on the ground BLOCKING the driveway, instead of to the side of the driveway. Absolute worst customer service.
I am happy with Rumpke. I am private contractor and do trash outs. The price is good, people there are good. Very friendly.
Trash was NOT picked up yesterday, they missed the whole street. When I called the customer service # I spoke to "Janelle" who said she had no clue why it wasn't picked up-didn't bother to investigate. Next, I told her that it was just picked up today & the trash man threw our two garbage cans, they landed on their sides, one partially in the street & a few others on the street were also laying on their sides, and the trash man actually bent down right next to the one can to pick up litter that he dropped on the grass, looked at the cans, & then proceeded to jump on the back of the truck and off they went. I saw all of this from my front window. "Janelle" then said to me "well, you don't pay for the service anyways". SERIOUSLY? I said "oh, are you saying that it is FREE? " She then replied " well, it's paid out of your taxes or whatever". I said "EXACTLY! & WHO do you think pays our taxes, WE do! " When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said she didn't have one & I would have to wait 48hrs to get a call back. UNACCEPTABLE customer service!
Never had an issue till now the refused to take items that they had taken before. Unfortunately I can't change the service I am locked in with the village.
Update: my village called Rumpke and they came the next day to pick it up.seems like they like to make things up as they go.
