Apparently someone with a Sprained ankle is more important than someone that is having an allergic reaction to a prescribed medication. Sitting in the waiting room over 5 hours already.

All the negatively being spouted here’s an adult review. They are very hard working and wonderful medical professionals here. They try. They care and they sure took care of my dad when he was here. Shameful people have to act like spoiled brats on reviews.

I've had some really bad doctors and nurses that need to be more professional and efficient when it comes to caring of your patients.

If you want to have a great report with
Society then act like a caring and great hospital.

Why is it nearly impossible to get a hold of your billing department? Left a message 3 days in a row. No call back.

Will NOT Go back! My son who was admitted for Pnuemonia, had a seizure I tell the on call Doctor to give him Nayzilam, the hospital doesnt have it, the Doctor insists on giving him Ativan I instructed the Doctor it does not work and wont stop his seizure, I suggest Valium it works, Doctor orders Ativan, nurse puts in his IV, it doesnt stop the seizure, Doctor then orders Valium, it stops the seizure. With a room full of nurses as he was coded. The only nurse I trust looked at his chart and figures out in seconds he had been admitted for 36 hours, and NO ONE gave him his
Seizure Medication. Doctor was more worried about being right than the health and safety of my son. SOOOO Rude

They were not busy they mostly stood around talking. Waited 3hours before my daughter was treated. After that still had to wait additional 2hours before we could leave.

Excellent facility with high quality nurses, aides, doctors, and support staff. Clean and spacious rooms. The entire hospital was very clean.

One of the absolute worst when it comes to billing. They rarely answer in the billing department and it takes forever for them to retun calls. Was sued over a $95 bill that was less than one year old during the pandemic. Then, I set the entire family's accounts up for auto pay through their payment agency, because SRM doesn't take payments, only to find out a year later that they were moved to collections for non payment. The payments came out so, where they went is anyone's guess. When you call the payment company PRM, they don't answer and will return your call within 24 hours. It is just ridiculous trying to pay 3 bills.

Worst wait times ever. Couple in front of us was there waiting for 5 hours. Little old lady before them was 11 hours waiting. A man huntch over in the chair looks to be in pain, not sure how long he was waiting. Seems to be going into a 3rd world country! We left never seen and waited 2 hours.

I’ve always had a pleasant experience when visiting family members and having laboratory services done at this location.

Absolutely horrible.waited over 9 hours in the ER. I was told that the ER was full of patients waiting to be transferred to rooms and I would have to wait. If you need emergency care please go somewhere else where you can be seen. What a shame the community could really use a reliable option.

A great hospital, there friendly and fast, had my first daughter here and it was a good experience

I read all the reviews about the wait times and chose to take a chance. Sadly, these weren't exaggerations. We waited in the hospital this evening for 4½ hours. I realize things come up and wait times may be longer than expected, but I've read reviews as far back as 3 years ago and wait times seem to be an ongoing issue. Shame on Salem Community Hospital for not hiring the appropriate amount of employees to accommodate the needs of people who need the services in emergency situations.

You are the most selfish hospital and should be ashame of your self. My son who is only 17 years old had a brain aneurysm on September 26 2022 and the doctor was to busy talking and flirting with the nurse to come look at my son, we waited in the waiting room for 2 hours and than in the emergency room for 4 hours and not one time did the doctor come in and when I started complaining to the nurse he said I’m suppose to drop everything for a little headache now may I remind you he was passed out at this time and clammy and that’s when enough was enough and we took everything off of him and took him to East Liverpool hospital and right away that did a ct scan and found out he had a brain aneurysm and had to be life flighted to Pittsburgh UPMC childrens where he had to under go surgery and now you people are garnishing my husbands Wages (Salem) and now my family and I are not going to have electricity and not going to have any food for Easter. Like my son hasn’t had it bad enough. Why would I pay you any money when you don’t know how to do your job. Your nurses are rrude and your doctors are something else. As soon as I can attorney to take this to court I’m suing you and you’ll be paying my son lots of $$$$ and by the way I have a attorney in the family

I was just in this hospital, the care, interest and service were top notch. Every person I interacted with, was pleasant, helpful and interested in how I was doing and if I needed anything.

Absolute disgrace of a hospital. Too many issues over the years to list. This won't be a rant.just a warning. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Here's a big middle finger for ER, lab, physicians, billing, customer service.fack all yall!

Avoid at all costs. I (mistakenly) went to the Salem ER for chest pains. Dr. Lee removed my gallbladder the next day (after spending the night in the ER). No post op instructions. No check ins. Sent me home and back to work full duty days after surgery. Within a week, I developed a football sized incisional hernia. Now I get to spend another 5 grand out of pocket so that the Cleveland Clinic can fix what Dr. Lee screwed up. Do not go to Salem ER, even on your death bed!
