SAM SYLK'S, Maple Heights OH

One of the best things about this place is not the great food or service. It's those things combined with this great comfortable atmosphere. I teach a Ballroom class here and my students are always telling me how comfortable they are here. It's a classy place to hang out and eat drink and dance. Kudos to Sam Sylks

Like the food.but the SERVICE SUCKS. An hr for 2 pieces fish/4 shrimp & fries. Blk businesses need to do better. Cusomers shouldn't have to for a pension to get good service. Please hire kitchen staff who can tell time & come to work, not play. Miychells wouldn't have me waiting like this. DO WAY BETTER. Your Mayfield location isn't much better

Someone please tell me why 4pcs of perch cost $15 and a slice of pie cost $8. (Fish only, no bread, no fries, not even a napkin) I did not order the pie.

We placed an order online on 10/31/23. Arrived (what we thought was on time) to pick our order up. Bartender tells my husband that “he might as well sit and get a drink”. What? Come to find out, our order was just sitting there
For 30 minutes! It took someone else to give our food that was just sitting out. Get home within 10 minutes, food is very cold. Had to warm it back up. Catfish nuggets and chicken not flavorful. Very small. Not worth the money spent. Will not go to anymore locations. The westside location is terrible too!

That was a terrible experience. My wife ordered Doordash for pickup. Order said 20 minutes. I walk in and my wife lets me know that it says the order was ready. I inform the bartender and she checks and tells me 3 more minutes. A whole 30 minutes later and the food comes out to me like I’m dining in. I tell the bartender it’s supposed to be to go and she takes the food in the back, then brings it back out with some weird sauce on it in a box and hands it to me with an attitude. Sylks won’t ever have to worry about getting business from me again.

Nice establishment and the bartenders were pleasant. I didn't care for my food though. The chicken alfredo was too salty.

So I'm normally go to other locations. But today I was in the Maple area so I tried the one over here at South Gate. Atmosphere was great but food not so much. I usually get the chicken and waffles and chicken was delicious but the waffle was dry and hard. Unfortunately, I had to throw it away so I couldn't enjoy my food.

Hey guys! I have been here several times! Never really had any problems as far as getting in and finding a seat. I've never had their food at this location. However, my sister tried to order something and never got it! They took forever for something simple, which she had to change order because they did not have what she wanted. They finally get the order done after she waits over an hour to get it and they make it wrong! She cancelled & got money back! It should have been made right & received for no cost! I'll never order from there! The atmosphere is great, A really nice establishment! Very spacious! The DJ wasn't bad either. Kept us dancing all night! There is no cover charge which is also nice. Not sure how they do on a super crowded day as far as the bar. I Don't drink so not sure how they are but I did have wine in a cheap plastic cup! The cleaning staff and waiter are the bomb! There is one that is very entertaining and she keeps the good vibes going! Love her! I will definitely return but not to eat or drink but for good music and a nice establishment!

I go on Monday and Wednesday for line dancing. It's so much fun. Eat drink and dance. I love it.

OMG! As someone who lives down south, I love southern soul food, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Sylk’s knows how to soul food right! The food was fresh, the portions were plentiful, and the customer service was on point. This spot has a live DJ, a dance floor, a nice bar, and they even have a private VIP room for private gatherings like birthdays, bachelorette parties, company parties, ect…. I highly recommend Sylk’s! I’ll be back for sure!

First time there and it was delicious. We’re so impressed. Service was good, other customers were friendly. We really enjoyed ourselves. And we cleared our plates. I especially loved the Coleslaw. It was yummy.

We have went 2 weeks in a row and going again tonight this is the 3rd week. Very nice atmosphere love love the DJ he go hard the music will make you get up and dance every song. The drinks on point 2 shots get you there we loving it I’m 57 and I thought we couldn’t find a club that match what we looking for but this club is what’s up.the food you already know it’s sooo good I’m so happy to find a club that has great music drinks and food and awesome atmosphere.

I went to celebrate my birthday with my friend. My sister and her husband joined as at our table, my friends sister and niece were at an adjoining table. The food was great. The service was a different story. We told the waitress up front how to split the bills. Somehow, my bill included things from my sister and husband's bill, along with items from the adjoining table. To be fair, after about 20 minutes, the manager made it right. It's nice to have the live broadcast from there, but this is the second ti.e there has been an issue with my bill. I don't plan on visiting there again any time soon.
