My kiddo and I are from out of town visiting Cedar Point. We've eaten at this place before and were confident enough to go back, but honestly, this is the last time. I ordered the Chicken Hibachi and my son ordered Shrimp. My kid, being a bit picky, asked for extra rice in place of the vegetables in the hibachi dish and I was asked if I wanted rice with mine and said yes. They did not make it clear that the fried rice was an upcharge and charged us twelve extra dollars total on the bill, stating it was "clearly written on the menu". Well, brother, that restaurant is dark enough that I can barely make out the main listings on the menu, much less the fine print. The salads were okay and the miso soup passable, but that hibachi was utterly joyless. I don't throw out food that is not straight up inedible, so I did take most of mine to go. When I got the bill for seventy dollars, I was floored. For truly great food, that would have been bearable, but for that food, and with that previously stated misunderstanding with no apparent room on the server's part to meet us in the middle, it was just galling. It would seem that they have enough customers and don't need my patronage. I was sorely tempted to just forget any sort of tip, since the server kind of Karen'ed me, but I just left what I would consider the right tip for what we SHOULD have paid.

Well we had a good experience 2 years ago, but this year was not. Apparently to upgrade from white rice to fried is extra. It lists it on the menu that its a fee, but neither of us saw it and we were only asked which we wanted, not asked if we wanted to upgrade. Ended up paying about $70 between two people for food that was *just ok* at best. It did not taste like they wash their rice either.

We ordered take-out. Just fried rice. I asked for onion in my fried rice. $2. Now I'm all for paying a fair price for anything. But $2 for alittle onion is ridiculous. Food is good, but dang

This is the first time I've posted less than 5 stars for anyone. It was great until the end when the server brought the bill and box with a bag; I was still eating and had half a beer left! I felt rushed to leave

Not a bad place. We have only had table meals here, but the menu is also sushi and hibachi. Full bar as well

I've been a hardcore fan of a more contemporary upscale hibachi restaurants in Port Clinton Ohio for many years. I think I may have found a new favorite.

It is my pleasure to recommend Samurai Restaurant to anybody that would like to get a more cost efficient hibachi experience, without sacrificing quality of food, or the fun experience.

The Restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, the wait staff are efficient and friendly, and the chefs produce outstanding food and are on top of their game.

Portions are extremely generous, and are very very tasty.

This place really is a hidden gem.

EDIT: I enjoyed the experience so much, I returned 4 days later. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the hibachi chefs, mashed Madi (not entirely sure if the correct spelling).

If you want a fun experience, ask for Madi. This guy is absolutely hysterical.
Tell him, the South African sent you!

My kids and I tried this place while in town and we are so glad we did. Excellent hibachi and sushi. Server and hibachi chef were awesome. Both very friendly and accommodating.

Be prepared to spend more money than you originally anticipated as they overcharge for everything. Don’t take your family if you have more than two kids; they charge you 18% gratuity for a family of five even though my kids are very young. We ordered the rice that was supposed to be included with the hibachi yet got charged extra. Come prepared because I had to pay over $200 for a dinner that was supposed to be a lot cheaper than that; robbery. The waitress was rude so she did NOT DESERVE a $34 tip!

If you dine in, you may need a headlamp, the restaurant is extremely dark. We dined on the hibachi side, the waiter and chef were very friendly.
If you want chicken fried rice its $3 extra, I have eaten at many Japanese restaurants and its always included, I received a scoop of white rice with my meal. The ones who ordered meat were pleased, I chose just vegetables, they were undercooked and seasoning was added at the end. For the price of the meal, I was disappointed.

Very clean & spacious. It has a Koi pond, with turtles, which fascinated my boys. Food was delicious. Sushi was especially fresh. Our chef, Madi, was personable and funny. He even gave us some advice, as our son is thinking of becoming a chef. We had a great night, with great food!

My family and I from Pgh. PA was in Sandusky visiting Great Wolf Lodge. We asked for recommendations at Great Wolf and they were on the list. So we went for dinne. (4 adults and 4 kids) I am GF and the people I was with were not. So finding a place we all can eat with kids isnt easy. We called ahead and they said they offered GF soy sauce (not many places do where I live. When I arrived I doubled checked. When the chef came out to cook he cooked all mine separate from anything that had regular soy sauce with it and cleaned the grill before cooking mine with GF soy sauce. I haven't had hibachi since going GF 8 years ago due to not trusting the process. Everything was wonderful. Soy sauce was GF, as well as their Yum Yum sauce. I did not eat the salad with ginger dressing as they couldn't tell me all the ingredients. I truly appreciated the care the chef took to keep mine seperate and safe. Besides that, he was wonderful while cooking and entertaining the kids. They had the best time and we were all laughing and clapping! We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Almost perfect but all in all it was a fun experience. I like how gratuity is included in the bill so the many different servers can figure out who gets what.

A bit pricey but quite a nice taste. The infusion of North American and Japanese was an interesting flavour.

I love Samurai in Strongsville, but I loved Samurai in Sandusky even more, which I didn't think was possible! Everything was excellent.
