San Marcos Restaurant reviews
20San Marcos speaks for itself but who knew you could get Margaritas to go I'll take two please
Probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in Toledo and surrounding areas. Food is always consistent, servers are always on point, and prices are very reasonable.
I usually LOVE San Marcos, but I was literally physically ill after my last visit. The food is usually great, but this time I was actually sick the next day and it is challenging getting my pretty specific order correct because many of the workers don't speak fluent English.
Pretty good authentic Mexican food out here in Toledo. Gotta walk through a Mexican grocery store just to find it! Nothing too out of the ordinary since I've had too much Mexican food in Socal but San Marcos comes pretty close.
Disappointed they don't have lengua or tripas anymore. The chicharron tacos were also incredibly spicy so watch out if you get that.
I always shop at the grocery store whenever I'm in the Toledo area. I specifically love the fajita mix and the fresh made chicirron, but all the meat is great. The store also offers a great selection of canned and dry goods as well as fresh vegetables and fruits.
I've ate in the restaurant 3 times and have always been amazed at how great the food is.
Great food and great prices in the Restaurant! Great Selection and great prices in the Store!
Used to me the only Mexican Restaurant I would eat at in Toledo but this last visit was disappointing. First they put the wrong meat on my tacos, the server took our order and didn't come back. We had to ask for silverware and napkins from a different server and refills on our drinks from another. Normally I tell everyone that asks to go there but I won't so it again, was very disappointed.
Hector is amazing best server ever! The food amazing the store hooked on it amazing if you like good food this is the best spot!
We stopped at this San Marcos on Reynolds Road after being at the other location by Hi-level Bridge. Such a better experience here. Best waiter ever. So attentive to our order. Thank you San Marcos we loved our food
Hands down the best authentic Mexican cuisine I've had outside of my families cooking. A definite must if craving such good.
Great food and drinks! It was my very first time at a Mexican restaurant and i really enjoyed it.:) Every employee was very friendly.
The food was amazing the restaurant was beautiful, though the waiter was not that intuitive it took him almost 20 mins to ask us if we needed anything else and or if we wanted our check
San Marcos is a store and the restaurant is in the back side of the building. You can get authentic Mexican groceries and fantastic Tex Mex from the same place. My wife is vegan so she had refried beans and rice. I went with the chicken fajitas burrito and we both had more than we could eat. If you live in the area, you know this beats any chain Mexican restaurant.
Bakery products are not priced, no prices on the bakery display, had no idea why more products than not have no prices marked.some of $20 worth of bakery items were stale, found mold on some of the items- bought chicharones that ended up being stale or hard and inedible, the dogs liked them, very pricey dog treats. Nice selection of ethnic products to cook with. They carry culantro, especially important when making sofrito.
Amazing atmosphere, no matter if you dine inside or on the patio! The food is always hot & tasty. My favorite item is the Traditional Asada taco, delicious & priced just right!
Was looking for good Mexican food in the area and saw this place recommended highly. I can see why it there was so much hype. The food was absolutely delicious, truly authentic and priced reasonably well. And check out the portion sizes! I posted a pick of their Carnitas plate for $14 and it was enough to feed 2 easily! The salsa also beats out nearly every other Mexican joint I've eaten at, and I've eaten at plenty.
Food was good. The only thing is it was so cold in there that we asked to have the fan turned off and was still shivering! Just bring a jacket and appetite!
I found the 2 biggest pieces of gristle today. Someone dropped the ball on that one, no way ya just "didnt see that. " Carne asada was bland as well. Would not recommend
Visit this establishment once a year, since we've been coming to Ohio for at least 35 years. Do yourselves a favor, if you're looking for real Mexican food Visit and enjoy the friendly staff and great food!
I'm from the southwest and the steak tacos here are perfect. I will be back here every week. Amazing food cooked perfectly and authenticly.
