Restaurant Sassy Bowls reviews
15 Spent $14 for a piece of toast with barely anything on it. The toast was also missing ingredients. Little flavor. Also got a smoothie which wasn’t terrible but very small for the price.
UPDATE:
The associates were friendly and refunded me for the toast when I brought it back to them.
I will never eat here again. I got a bowl, and it had the worst flavor. I didn't get bananas, but the bowl tasted like they added them. Will never go here again.
Good small snack place. With decent prices. Used fresh avocado to make sandwich and chicken was warm. So we liked it though the snack was small but price was too. Server needs to be more communicative with customers. Especially when food is ready must let customer know the food is ready. Instead of just placing on the table.
DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.
Ordered two smoothies. One for my daughter and one for myself. At order I asked if they added anything in the smoothie. They said they did not. I returned the smoothie halfway through after I realized that they added some type of sweetener with a horrible aftertaste. I returned it to be told that they cannot remake it because it was half full. A young white girl (that was not on the clock) denied my request any threw her arms up and said I, I can’t help you I’m not even on the clock.
Horrible customer service.
The smoothie tasted like medicine. The aftertaste of the artificial sweetener is strong. I am curious as to why you add sweeteners to fruit smoothie. They eventually gave me the replacement after pleading. By the time they made it I was so furious so I wrote a review. I left the smoothie there.
Just went in for 2 bowls and they were made incorrectly I was the only customer so I didn’t think to check. The employee was kind, and I should have double checked them before I left. I thought the açaí would be like the soft serve I’m accustomed to, instead it was in a frozen plastic container pulled from a freezer and the toppings were added. I removed them to try and pick out what I asked for in my bowl from the bowl I purchased for my husband. We just moved to the area 3 days ago, so I was excited to find sassy bowls was very close by, but I’m not pleased so far.
So I had an online order. When I got there no one said anything to me and people who were just entering the building got their food before me even though I had waited and ordered online. After they cleared the lobby then someone acknowledged me. Overall I would not be back. The service suvks and the food is meh.
Super cute place! Always great bowls. I go all the time. Also the price for the amount you get is so worth it!
Worst açaí bowl I’ve ever had! The toppings was fine but the açaí was frozen at the bottom
I purchased the dragon fruit base with gluten free granola, strawberries, mango peaches, Nutella and honey.
To my surprise, the base was completely frozen and the bowl was very liquidity. Imagine how unappealing that is when the base is frozen. Unfortunately I was only able to eat the toppings with the smoothie being frozen.
I stopped in on a whim and overall I was really disappointed my $8+ went to waste. Throw the whole business away and go back to the drawing board.
Good service but the açaí used was not prepared properly. It was more a fruit soup than an açaí/smoothie bowl. What was supposed to be a nice treat on a warm day turned into a disaster unfortunately. My hopes is that people recognize that “you get what you pay for” and the price of their products at this establishment reflects that.
Food is tasty. Had the yogurt bowl and really enjoyed it. You have the options to choose from and I got the yogurt with classic granola, mango, pineapple and strawberry with caramel. It was dress and they give you more than enough for you money. Will be going back!
I’ve enjoyed getting the fruit bowls. Haven’t tried any hot food but I like the fruit bowls.
Not impressed,
The toast was barely a snack but edible.
The morning crepe was inedible, slimy. My friend should have taken it back up, but wouldn't. She threw it away.
The chicken avocado sandwich was good.
The drink pictured was ok.
Nothing was worth the cost or coming back again.
Save yourself, there's many other good restaurants in the area. Skip Sassy Bows.
We ordered an açaí bowl and one of their sandwiches as well as two of their fruit waters. The advertisement of their food does not match how it actually is. Im pretty sure the açaí bowl is just shaved ice with açaí powder in it. It melts in like 30 seconds and turns into just water. If you want actual açaí, just go to Frutta Bowls at Austin Landing. We tried this place last year and were hoping they changed them but sadly no. The sandwich was the smallest we’ve ever seen. We ordered the chicken avocado sandwich and it was just egg salad with some chicken. Honestly the fruit waters aren’t bad. Not sugary and really just taste like a fruit water (we weren’t expecting them to be sugary so it was perfect).
