Amazing homemade Italian food. Love the wedding soup and fettuccine Alfredo. Staff is so nice and welcoming in your first visit! Definitely going to visit again.

Had the lasagna. It was pretty good. The bread was just a basic, white bread - it wasn't Italian garlic bread, it wasn't hot, and they provided only pre-packaged margarine (not butter). The girl that served us was nice, though (daughter of the family that owns the place).

Ill start by saying the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The pasta shells with sauce and meatballs are delicious! My last visit was a little strange to say the least, I ordered eggplant parm and when it was brought out right away I took a look at it and thought something doesn’t look right with this eggplant and the cheese on top of it. It almost looked like it had sit out for a day or two and then was reheated. I love eggplant so right away I knew something was off especially because it looked gray at the edges, I took one bite out of it and it tasted awful, it tasted rotten with a hint of freezer burn. I politely asked for a to go box and went on with my day but I keep thinking of how horrible that eggplant tasted. Something was definitely not right with that eggplant. I feel bad for leaving 2 stars but I can’t help thinking of that horrible taste and how someone thought it was acceptable to serve that to a customer, just looking at it you can definitely tell it looks old, zoom into the pic and look at the actual edges of the eggplant. I honestly never had eggplant taste like that before.

What I love about this place is it always tastes the same. The spaghetti dinners have been exactly the same as when I was a kid and they were in a different location on Market in uptown.

Took home fish dinners and some pasta. Excellent food as always. Wish I lived closer so I could indulge more often.

Best pasta i’ve ever eaten, the homemade cavatelli is out of this world. My only recommendation would be some restroom renovations, better bread (make it homemade).

Always excellent service the food is ready when they say it's going to be ready and it is Italian delicious food and the sauce is unbelievable calamari the best meatball sub oh my God delicious

1st time ever there. Waited about 15 minutes before we were even offered a drink. Then another 15 minutes before we could order. The 1st thing my wife ordered was unavailable and sold out so she ordered something else. Another 15 minutes later she came and told us that that was not available either. She went to order something else and it was not available so we all know that my food had been sitting under the lights for a 1/2 hour. Will never go again

We were in the area and couldn’t get into The federal but that was our good fortune! Yummy! That’s all I can say about this place. Portabella ravioli is definitely repeatable, my husband had the homemade Alfredo and loved it!

We went there for a surprise birthday party for my husband, had a party of 13 people. The service was a little slow, had to ask the waitress several times for bread with our meals. The food was good but when the waitress brought the checks, my brother in law and his wife got stuck with a check from 4 people at a completely different table, they were not even part of our group! The waitress misunderstood my sister in law when she said she wanted to pay for 4 people at our table, herself, her husband, my husband and me. When the mistake was brought to the attention of the manager/owner, he said that he knew the other party and would let them know what had happened in hope that they would make it right and reimburse my in laws. What he should have done is taken their portion of the check off my in-laws check and either contacted the other party if he knew them so well and explained the situation or the waitress should have been accountable for the mistake since it was her misunderstanding what was said. Why would anyone pay for dinner for people we didn't know and that were not even part of our group? Very dissatisfied and disappointed in how this was handled and probably will not go back. Plus they charge you a % of your check to use a credit or debit card, more then what the card company charges! They even called the police! WTH? ! One waitress who wasnt even our waitress but felt the need to approach our table was sarcastic and extremely rude and stuck her nose in the situation the other waitress created.

The food here is absolutely disgusting. The attitudes are even worse. Their “dinner salads” are the same size as their side salads… which consisted of just iceberg lettuce. The wedding soup was a disgrace and the pasta tasted more bland than a plain slice of bread. $37 for TRASHHHHH
Oh, and the manager TOLD me to write a bad review instead of a refund or even offering anything else off the menu (which I would’ve decline any other food anyway). The point is, there wasn’t an apology or resolution. This is probably how they make their money. What a joke this place is. I’d give it zero stars if I could. Absolute garbage service and food. 0/10

Just okay. Everything tasted old or frozen, except the salad. Nothing to write home about. Nice customer service though.

This place is absolutely dirty and disgusting! We were here for just a party and thank goodness we didn’t spend a single dime at this restaurant. Trying to use the restroom and the one worker said a very mean comment to my son.

Good food, quick and excellent service, great bread. Was passing through, but it was the right choice for Italian. And they make some pasta at the restaurant.

There is no understanding as to the rave reviews on the taste or quality of the "Italian" food at this place. We got what tasted like slightly seasoned canned tomato sauce on some basic prepackaged noodles. Some bland standard white bread. $30 for two at lunch.

My 17 year old daughter said it tasted like spaghettios and she is not wrong.

Maybe we just got handed the lazy kitchen alternative and only the local regulars get the real stuff. Sounds like something that would take place in Youngstown.

Came here for lunch. Took an hour to get our food. A gentleman came in ordered 2 dinners to go and had his food within 15 minutes. Not a good place for lunch. Food was good. Got our check 10 minutes after we got a food. One and done.

I've been in the area for about a year. Just tried this spot last week. I loved it! The atmosphere, the food and the staff were great. Our waitress was so nice and pretty nervous. She was so sweet. The bread was fresh and plentiful. I had the manicotti and was delicious. Planning on taking my girl there today for valentine's! Thank you Scarsella's!

My husband and I were shopping in Boardman and wanted to find someplace different for lunch. I suggested this place as I had not been there for about 25 yrs. We were not disappointed, I got the Chicken Alfredo with homemade fettucine and it was absolutely delicious and the wedding soup; was very good also. My husband wanted the veal parm but saw that it was a chopped veal patty, which was a little surprising to us so he opted for the Chicken Parm and thought that his was very good as well. We will definitely go out of our way to go back!

Always great service and great food! Most recently, I ordered a half tray of lasagna and one of green beans for Christmas dinner. Everyone raved about the food and the sauce! You cannot and will not go wrong stopping by here for excellent, authentic food!

Tastes just like momma made it. Quiet, calm atmosphere small restaurant no waiting in line for 45 to 50 minutes to sit down. Give them a try you won't regret it.
