Wonderful people and amazing sweets. People there are very passionate about what they do and love to share on what makes them exceptional. This will forever be my chocolate source. Once you try it you will be in love with it and the people.

This is a super tiny shop with exorbitantly priced mediocre candy. I was so disappointed that I drove out of the way to visit. Definitely skip this place.

Do not come here if you want your pants to fit. Delicious! Local chocolates! Great quality! Great atmosphere!

Nice small chocolate shop. Some traditional German items. Fudge was fresh but not set; I attempted to cut a pice off from the quarter pound pre-boxed Belgian flavor fudge …and should have had a spoon to eat it with. Souvenir chocolate bar came in nice box which will provide a nice presentation to friend.

After eating at Schmidt's Sausage Haus, we stopped at the Fudge Haus. Wow! While they do have a nice selection of European cookies and candies, and souvenirs, what we really loved was the selection of dark chocolate covered nuts and sugar free candy. The dark chocolate amaretto pecans and sugar-free white coconut clusters are amazing! We are going to make sure that we stop here any time we drive through Columbus (which is usually several times a year, at a minimum).

Not only are the fudge and buckeyes delicious but the staff is amazing! I recently purchased a few things from their booth at the Octoberfest at the fair grounds. A few hours after I got home I got a voice mail about finding my wallet. I didn't know I had lost it, but when I checked my purse it wasn't there. I called the number back to find the amazing staff looked me up online, found my number, and contacted me to get it back to me. One of the staff members that lived close to me even offered to hold on to it and meet me later so I didn't have to drive back. I'm a customer for life!

If you're already in the area to eat at Schmidt's Sausage Haus, stop in here while you wait for your table. Plenty of imported German trinkets and candy, as well as handmade and classic americana. It's especially nice during the holidays.

A German Village treasure, this little shop is so much more than delicious fudge. Unique imported gifts and treats, nostalgic sweets, and much more. Topped off with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, Schmidt's is well worth the visit.

It's a trap! You'll probably end up walking over here if you're waiting for a table at the wonderful restaurant next door. And then you'll see all these delicious treats, and because you're hungry (you did, afterall, come to eat a place that offers all you can eat sausage), you'll load up on sweets that your waistline does not need.

And boy did I.

They have quite a few of the chocolates that are native to Germany and other countries, as well as a small selection of less-guilty sugar-free chocolate offerings.

A must place to visit when in Columbus. Great Christmas items and German candy. Awesome and friendly staff. Especially Kieth!

Delicious chocolates and candies! They also have a variety of authentic German treats and small souvenir type items. Definitely worth it to stop in for a treat!

This place has a surprising array of selections in addition to fudge. Some of which are completely unexpected and amazing finds. But mostly a lot of kitsch. If you have time, it's worth a look.

Great place to kill some time if you are waiting for a table nearby at the restaurant. A large selection of German sweets, fudges, and assorted chocolates are on display. As this is effectively a gift shop, expect the prices and the quality to reflect that. Either way, they will have a favorite for everyone (I thought the buckeyes were very tasty!).

Don't believe the hype. This is nothing but a tourist trap. The shop is so small you can barely turn around in it. They are selling overpriced Ritter candy bars -$5 each when you can buy them for 2.49 each at Target or pretty much any grocery store. I bought a pecan turtle and the caramel was so hard it broke off the chocolate when I tried to take a bite. Masks are required but the woman working there making chocolates was playing on her filthy cell phone with an ungloved hand WHILE making the candy. Yuck. No hygiene standards at all but I had to wear a mask. Unbelievable. She never even looked up once to greet or welcome us, which was very off putting, especially since we were in such close proximity to her in such a small shop. She was obviously aware of our presence and we were the ONLY PEOPLE in the store at that point. We also had to listen to her conversation with someone about her "booster shots" when we first stepped in the door. Yeah, I really want to hear about the employees personal medical info while shopping for candy. NEVER AGAIN.

My family is visiting from Florida and of course the kids wanted to stop in here for some candy. My husband, who does not normally eat sweets, fell in love with the turtles. I found some nice souvenirs. Our kids found a few extra candies in the bag thanks to Tim, a true Willy Wonka at heart. Wish we had such a warm and inviting candy shop as this in our hometown. Keep up the good work Schmidt’s!
