Museum Schoenbrunn Village reviews
11Definitely one of Ohios hidden gems. Worth the visit. They have really perfected the art of submersing everyone into being in the revolutionary time period. Definitely will be coming back!
The old timers, desiring to share their gospel
Went into the wilderness the way to spell
To native men of the land
That lived in family bands
Who gathered their food and lived out of hand.
Twas well received 'til those who opposed
United with ruffians of paler sort
Decide to slay tho not in sport
All who accepted that Way proposed.
If you're interested in history, especially if you're local, this is a place to check out! Self-guided tours through lands that held the first settlement, schoolhouse, church and code of laws in the now state of Ohio. There are 17 reconstructed buildings in the village, along with gardens and the original mission cemetery. There are restrooms located outside of the visitors center. There is also a motorized wheelchair that you can use free of charge. The museum in the visitors center is closed due to updates, but it will hopefully be open soon!
Loved the staff there and the preserving of our history. Beautiful location and wonderful to tour!
Interesting place to visit. Spent a couple hours here watching a short documentary and walking and viewing the buildings and gardens.
It was a pleasant experience visiting Schoenbrunn Village. The staff was nice and went out of their way to make this visit memorable.
This is a cheap and interesting way to spend a half day. Gift shop was very reasonably priced. They did a great job of displaying everything really clean and great staff.
Had a really good time wondering through all the log houses. Some replica furniture in the houses give you an idea how they lived back in the late 1770's. They even had a school house and a large meeting place to go through.
Nice place. If you like history. They had a hover round to use for those you have hard time walking. And it was free to use. Nice gift shop. Little but cute
Love history, and this place offers alot. Beautiful setting of 200 years gone by. Very knowledgeable people to share info and answer your questions. A place to relax with a breath of fresh air.
I took a self guided tour of the grounds, hiking and guided tours are available. The visitor center has a video and displays relating to the history of the village. Donations are taken in the visitor center.
The village has been rebuilt to look like it was when established, cabins for individuals and couples along with a schoolhouse and a meeting house. The buildings are all furnished as they would have been in that era.
Well worth your time if you are interested in early Ohio history.
