Scioto Grove Metro Park reviews
15Very nice party that we had a The Grove Lodge. It’s pretty plain Jane but bring your own decorations and you will be all set!
Hosted an event in which people came from all over the state for an informal networking and training session. The Park Rangers were extremely helpful, the facility is beautiful and immaculate, and perfect to host any event.
I was there today at the drone landing and went on a walk. Came back and a guy broke in to my car and stole my wallet. My car was locked. So heads up a guy is breaking in to cars there.
I really enjoyed it here. Great park with a good amount of trails. Mostly shaded, but some sunny patches too.
Also some open green spaces to play frisbee or soccer.
Dog friendly and my Labrador mix had a good time sniffing around on his walk here.
Great park, plenty of shelters and picnic tables. Appeared to have designated camping areas by the river as well as an archery range
2 days ago I pulled into this park because I had hit a pot hole and got a flat tire. It was just me and my 7 yr old daughter in the rain. The dark haired female park ranger working Saturday around 12: 30 stopped and offered to try and help us in any way she could. I told her I had it under control but she stopped back 2 more times to make sure we got back on the road. Thank you so much!
Beautiful park to bring the dog and children! Lots to see and explore as well as fun activities offered!
This was our first time visiting Scioto Grove. It's a great park love the walking trails!
Enjoy going here to enjoy nature, hiking and archery ranges. There is both a 3D and traditional ranges here so you have a choice of target types.
This park is a good sized place for any family. It's a hidden gem if you live near it. Easy stream access, camping zone, even archery and fishing. There's a lot to do and plenty to see.
Did the 2 mile REI River Trail. The trail is great. You can find it on All Trails to follow the trail loops. Lucky for us it had not rained in a while so the trails were dry and well marked. But I can see how they would be muddy and covered with rains and if the river would flow over. So keep that in mind. There is a lot of parking, bathrooms, play area for kids and ample picnic areas. There were a few fire pit areas that would be nice to use. Stopped to enjoy each overlook we came to. Those were a nice touch. Planning on returning in the season to do the longer 5 mile trail (4.9 miles). I recommend you check this out. We went on a Sunday around 11am and there weren’t many people there so it was really relaxing and nice. Our only sad part was all of the trash. The river overflows and deposits all of the trash (mostly plastic) all over the landscape. It was so sad and makes me want to being a trash bag with us the next time to pick up what we can reach.
The park officers were great. They were so awesome and nice. The river was trashed. The deer looked like zombies. Wild as hell.
If you want to go out and relax with family or friends this is the place. There's alot to do at this park, there's a play area for the kids. The trail goes by the river that's what makes this place so nice
One of my favorite parks in Central Ohio. Absolutely beautiful park. The trials that wind around the banks of the river are so peaceful. They have camp sites strewn all over the park that I have really wanted to try as well, just have to get the time.
A great space for so many activities! Hiking, running, playground, open spaces for games, etc. The paths and trails are well maintained. Clean restrooms as well. Would definitely visit again if in the area.
