Have always had great nothing but great experiences here with Dr. Bendo and all of the staff.

I absolutely loved the staff, process, and how quickly they got me in! I will include exactly my experience to hopefully help someone in my same position! In the beginning of October I called Dr. Bendos office to schedule an appointment, the lady who answered began taking my info, she let me know early on that there were no openings for an appointment for a few months which I was okay with but I was really wanting something soon. I feel like she could tell it was worrying me (“it” being a mole on my back that had been radiating pain and just sore to the touch sometimes on my skin) by my voice and she said if it is only that one mole you are needing looked at we can get you in within a couple of days! Fast forward to the appointment, they got me in and out and that was with the removal of the mole as well! He looked at it said he did not think it looked cancerous so I could choose to have it removed or not since it was bothering me and causing pain. I decided to remove it, I had my two small children there with me, all staff was amazing with both boys and even helped my three year old so patiently put some gloves on to assist the doc with the removal lol! I can’t recommend this doctors office and staff enough and they even take Medicaid Caresource, which there is almost NO dermatologists in central Ohio that take Medicaid Caresource that won’t make you wait FOREVER on a wait list! So I just want to thank you all for removing this burden from my life!

Results came in and the mole was indeed cancerous free after being checked under microscope Dr. Bendo is the way to go!

I have been seeing Dr. Bendo for over 3 years for a number of dermatological issues and he has always been incredibly helpful and all treatments have been effective. He and his staff are patient and attentive and scheduling appointments is always easy. Greatly recommend! And I am glad to have found a dermatologist for life.

I have been seeing Dr. Bendo since he started at this location. I called today to make an appointment for a spot on my skin that I am worried about because I have had basil cells removed by him before. The young lady who answered the phone was explaining that I could only be seen for one thing during an appointment because I mentioned I had not had my yearly check, either. That is fine. The young lady stated that I could have a rapid appointment, and I asked how that works. She put the office manager on the phone, who stated that I belittled her and the young lady, and she wasn't going to put up with it. What!? Not once did I do that. She proceeded to gaslight me into believing I was being defiant and that she didn't have to stand for it. Not once was I rude, I was inquiring about the rapid visit. She then stated I was screaming and yelling. This did NOT happen as I had no reason to scream or yell. The people who work for this office are disgustingly rude and treat patients like they do not matter, even when posing questions about visits. I will NOT return here, and I do NOT appreciate being treated this way. They seriously need to revaluate the type of office staff working here. Customer service is not great, at all! I would recommend finding another place to treat skin issues because the way I have been treated here is just awful!

Drove almost an hour to go to this doctors office. Spoke with Hope, told her I was running a little late she said that’s fine I had a 15 minute grace period. Finally get there and had to walk around building to try and find suite 230. I go into the main entrance and there is no signs stating where suite 230 is at all, no receptionist to help direct you to the right area. So I called and told them I was having trouble locating their suite and that’s when Bethany told me they wouldn’t be able to see me today. Ok understandable even though I was there in time just couldn’t locate their office. I call back to try and reschedule my appointment and Michaela answers and told me because I was a new patient and I no called no showed I wouldn’t be able to reschedule my appointment! She was very short, rude and had a condescending attitude of a young girl. Was very unprofessional in the whole conversation! Seeing as how I did call and talked to Hope and had let her know I was running late, I don’t understand how that became a no call/ no show when I literally called twice and showed up but couldn’t not find the office due to lack of information on Ohiohealths part.

The guy that seen me didn’t even act like he cared about my skin. He guessed at what was wrong even tho I told him what happened touching roundup on a client’s property. I told him the ointment he gave me burned so he tried me on one other one and my skin had deep holes and was soo much worse. For 6 months I tried it and I bled and holes in my hands and feet. These people obviously know nothing because he treated me for psoriasis and I didn’t get skin issues until I touched roundup. I finally prayed n decided I was going to trust God n pray for Him to help me and I threw the medicine in so much pain. I looked up how to heal from roundup wounds. I have used tea tree balm all natural product for the last year and a half and use a natural sea salt bath. Changed my soaps til I was healed. This guy didn’t bother to tell me how to heal just let’s try all these medicines not even treating it right. If you have skin issues, I would suggest looking for natural ways to heal and natural foods to eat because the foods are sprayed with poison too. I finally have clear skin. Tea tree stuff can help a lot of skin issues including poison ivy. Don’t go to these people because they don’t know what their doing obviously. I’ll see if I can post pictures of how bad it was with their products.

I feel very lucky to have found this office. Dr. Bendo always makes me feel comfortable and anything I express concern about he takes time to talk to me. I highly recommend him.

Staff was friendly. Dr Bendo on the other hand was friendly but not helpful. Was quick to say he didn’t know exactly how to handle my situation. Although, quick to throw over a prescription. I go to check my notes after my
Visit and I see there is talk about potential neurologist referral.

Dr Bendo, THAT would’ve been more helpful to hear in your office than to be given a bandaid affect for my current issues. I’ll be taking matters into my own hands now. We have a SICK system not a health care system & this sucks. This has taken me months to work up the courage to even make an appointment only to feel like I’ve wasted my time completely and I’m sure money over a 10 minute appointment.

Watch out! Scheduled a consultation for a mole evaluation and waited 4 months for it. It was determined the mole could be removed and the surgical procedure would cost about $900 paid out of pocket (for the mole). This was scheduled for a later date.

During the consultation visit we discussed shaving 4 feckles on the opposite side of the face for cosmetic reasons (Dr. Bendo states in the notes the procedure to shave 4 areas was for cosmetic purposes only and the billing code sent to pathology from this office was 88305 Level IV - Surgical pathology, gross and microscopic examination such as a artery biopsy, bone exostosis, bone marrow biopsy at $750 for each freckle). The bill from the doctor was $1,263 and pathology $3,040. For the last nine months and having to make payments to keep it off my credit while trying to get someone to explain why they can do this and without my consent. Now I have a private pathology company attempting to put on my credit for non-payment a charge to prep the specimen and sent back to Ohio Health Pathology totaling $396. I have spoke with billing and the doctors office several times and they keep passing on to someone else or state they will get back to me. I would not have agreed to have freckles removed that were not a concern for $4,699. I would not have done it for $1,263.

I cancelled the surgical procedure after receiving the bill and the amount presented to and rejected by my insurance company. I began disputing this based on the billing codes used and statements made by the doctor in the notes of the appointment.

I was seen by another pathologist through Mount Carmel to have mole removed, that was the reason for the intitial consultation, was a total cost of $300.

Called to schedule a new patient appointment, the rude scheduler stated that they are all booked up until June (that is 8 months from now), when I asked how long an existing patient has to wait for an appointment she stated typically a while too but it depends on the issue! She was rude and short. Also, to wait 8 months for an appointment is just ridiculous unless you are performing miracles!
