We are beyond pleased with the work and professionalism of Mike and his son, Tyler. We did a large kitchen/dining room remodel and laundry room update as well as had the hardwood floors redone. The results are amazing! Mike is attentive and honest every step of the way and his attention to detail is very much appreciated. The final product is a dream and I would not hesitate to use him for any future work!

It gives me great pleasure to share with others about Mike and Tyler Seward.
We have been fortunate to have them help us with several projects - indoor and out - and have been so very happy and proud of their work.
Last fall they helped us with our walk-way to our lower yard and this spring we invited them back to help us with our hardwood floor project in our family room. The floor is fabulous and very professionally installed.
Mike and his son, Tyler, are the most professional and polite folks you will find - they listen to what you need and provide you with options on how to accomplish your dream. They are dressed appropriately, are protective of your property and delivery a great product.
Do not hesitate to give them a call if you have a remodeling project in mind. They can offer ideas to help make the process painless.

What started as a master bath renovation grew into master bath, custom master closet, master bedroom, patching and painting several rooms, and repainting deck. Michael and Tyler can do it all and with care and concern for every detail. You know how you shut the bathroom door when you’re having company over? I invite my family and friends to my house specifically to marvel over my new master bathroom.

Then I whisper to them, “Want to see my closet? ” I open the door and the ooh’s and aah’s start. When touring my place before I bought it, I knew it was for me when I opened the door to the walk-in closet. I fell in love with all the space despite the tired old brown vinyl floor and pink walls that hadn’t been painted in years.

Now that Michael and Tyler have finished customizing that closet, it’s a work of art — cabinets that match my new bathroom vanity and contain dirty laundry behind closed doors, a butcher block counter for folding clean clothes, a built-in bench to sit and put on my socks and shoes, all of which have their designated places in here. Plus, the hanging space has been doubled.

The closet could overshadow the all-new bathroom, but the two complement each other beautifully. Michael took out the tub and put in a custom shower. The heated floor is an extra treat.

If I ever manage to take photos that are worthy, I’ll post them. In the meantime, I’ll be happy to give you a tour.

I will definitely call Michael and Tyler for jobs in the future, although the word “job” is too ordinary and fails to do their results justice. Thanks, Michael and Tyler.

Mike did a ton of work on a house we had just purchased. The house had good bones but needed a lot of cosmetic updates. Over the course of about a month, Mike and his crew completely redid the floors throughout the entire first floor and smoothed the ceilings everywhere. They also added a doorway to close off a bathroom sink in one of the bedrooms. Throughout they were great to work with, always professional, on budget, and on time.

We had such a good experience that we asked Mike to redo the kitchen a few months later. We’re extremely happy with the quality of the work—they really pay close attention to the details. He even came in over the Xmas break to supervise the installation of the countertops.

Mike and Tyler are absolutely the kind of contractors you can trust to work on your home. They do quality work and make sure that they stay on budget. We still have some more projects down the road and look forward to working with them again!

Mike did several projects for us: (1) dismantled and removed an old deck and built a new deck; (2) removed an old vanity and installed a new vanity; (3) installed a new garage door opener; and (4) weatherized exterior doors. All the work was well done; we are very satisfied. Mike is very knowledgeable about his trade and was an all around professional in his interactions with us. We expect to utilize Seward Home Services in the future.

A couple of years ago, I had Seward Home Services redo my back deck and do some landscaping. I was so please with that work, I had him back last year to remodel my hall bathroom. It had the original blue ceramic tile. That tile was in perfect shape so he said he would see if he could complete the remodel without damaging the tile. He DID IT! I know it was exceedingly precise work, especially putting in a new, long vanity while protecting the original tile and cutting pieces to fit here and there.

This year, I had him completely gut my back bathroom and create a new one. He installed a walk-in shower with sliding frosted glass doors and with white subway tile accented with long, smaller tiles with grey & white accents and a grey tile floor. Before putting in the three grab bars, he had me show him the height I wanted and now they are at a perfect height. Of course, now I with I'd had this done a long time ago.

After I'd been living with the back bath for a couple of weeks, it bothered me that the vanity felt too high for me. (I'm a short one.) I also wished that the medicine cabinet in the wall was deeper. I contacted him about those two items. Within a few days, he replaced both items with just what I wanted!

Then, he refused to take any more money for the changes I made. WHO DOES THAT? !? !? He has the integrity and quality of work that is hard to find anymore.

Mike & his son are meticulous in their workmanship. They clean up at the end of each day and never leave a mess.

HERE IS MY ORIGINAL POST:
I hired Mike Seward after calling a reference who had him remodel and repair many of their rentals in Oxford. She said she would trust him to do any project that came along. I needed a deck redone, a stretch of pavers, and massive landscaping, taking out old growth and creating new. Mike did all the measuring and calculating and brought me estimates. I wanted separate estimates on each aspect of the work so I would know if I could afford to do all or part of it. He brought me detailed estimates and when all the work was done, he charged exactly what the estimate was. When he was doing the estimate on the decking, he found that the supports were in good shape, so he suggested I leave the good part and just replace what needed to be replaced. An unscrupulous contractor could have charged me for replacing everything and I would not have known any better. Mike is as honest as the day is long. In the middle of the project, I noticed that there was a new trash container in my garage and asked him if he know where that had come from. He said they'd put something in my old one and it got a small crack, so they replaced it. The one he replaced it with is much nicer than my old one. I was out of town when they finished the project and I hadn't had time to pick out some new plantings before I left. When I returned, I bought a bunch of plants and he planted them for no extra charge. I'm going to call him soon to do a bathroom remodeling job-when I figure out what I want done. From now on, I will only use Mike Seward for projects on my house.

I highly recommend Seward Home Services! Mike Seward was recommended to me by a friend and I am thrilled to have found his company. They have done several remodeling projects for us. They replaced old tile in our bathroom with new tile and grout and it turned out beautifully. They recently replaced our old sliding patio door with French doors and had to reframe the opening. Mike was able to match the exterior siding and put new drywall on the interior. Additionally, they refinished the hardwood floors in our three bedrooms and hallway. Mike is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. He is meticulous in every aspect of his work. Beautiful craftsmanship.

Mike is beyond professional. I have used a lot of contractors in the past but Mike is by far one of the best. He does what he says and is always on time. He is meticulous in his work and after completing over 6 different projects, I just get more impressed with his attention to detail and how he looks to cut costs without compromising the project. My new favorite saying is "Let Mike do it" because he will save me time and money and it will be done right.

Mike recently completed two jobs at my home. The first job was pressure washing the entire house, and the second was landscaping using decorative rock. Mike was very careful with my existing plantings around the house, and he was also very careful to match the existing rock in my gardens. His work was meticulous. He was professional and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Mike with any projects you may have in your home.

Mike Seward provides full service home maintenance and improvements.
He has done our landscape maintenance and our yard is one of the best in our neighborhood!
He also has done a big job painting exterior and interior areas. He knew which primers to use, recommended best materials, and repaired a crack in a wall to our satisfaction, as well as re-framing a window that had been water damaged. We had no need for any touch-ups because the work was beautifully detailed and meticulous. He also installed a large bathroom cabinet, making sure it was safely mounted in the studs, as well as checking all the glass doors to be sure they were evenly spaced and opened properly. I couldn't be more pleased with his work.
Mike is personable and professional, and I feel completely comfortable having him work in my home. I have no doubt that the work he does will be of good quality and reasonably priced. I highly recommend him!
There was an earlier review slamming him, but I think it is bogus! Mike is very capable and knowledgeable, and I trust him to do quality work!
