It was a great experience. My girl is usually very high spirited but the staff made her feel comfortable and safe and I say thank you.

Friendly, clean, efficient, and caring. My dog felt very comfortable there even though it was our first time. The costs were reasonable, and Dr. Kwon was amazing.

I never actually ended up being seen by this vet. I called to set up a new patient appointment. Their process is to receive all pet records, review them, and then they'll contact for an appointment. It was advised this would take 1-2 days. After waiting 3 days I contacted them and they said to resend the info. I resent, they confirmed receipt, and never called me back. I contacted them today and they stated they had attempted to call me, but had the wrong number on file. My number was included in my email and I never received any other form of communication from them regarding an inability to contact me. Based on the lack of coordination of the office, I'm going to look for a different vet, which is disappointing based on other reviews. If you do attempt to go with this vet, it appears you do have to advocate for yourself quite a bit. Hopeful this is a one off, but wanted to put it out there for anyone considering a new relationship with them.

I have received excellent care for all my dogs from Shaker Heights Animal Hospital over a number of years. I currently have three old dogs with special needs and chronic medical issues.
The level of professionalism is very high as is the amount of compassion towards my old dogs and towards me, now also old with some disabilities. I am most appreciative of the individualized care we all receive

A great experience! Warm, friendly, and professional staff, that clearly love animals as much as I do. They take care to make sure your pet is comfortable, you are educated on proper care, and business is handled in a timely manner.

They are prompt and efficient and they take good care of our geriatric dog. The respond promptly to phone calls as well.

I can’t begin to express how wonderful this facility and the staff is. All the techs are always so nice and take the time to get to know their animals and humans alike. Dr. Welsh is fantastic and my dogs are always comfortable here! They’re great with emergencies and the new location is really nice! I’ve been going here almost 2 years now and haven’t had a single problem and I won’t be leaving anytime soon. Just a great, caring vet!

Updating my post to add that they're fear-free and have had continuing education with Chirrups and Chatter!

I absolutely love the entire team here! Dr. Welsh is amazing. He's not afraid to admit when he's out of his depth. He makes a concerted effort to consult with other specialists (and even bring them into his clinic when possible) to make the experience as low-stress for your babies as possible.

A few months ago, our dog chewed up my inhaler. Rather than sending us to the expensive emergency vet, he instructed us to call ASPCA Poison Control and open a case with them to consult with him. He made sure that she had the BEST care with the BEST treatment course.

He genuinely cares about our special needs cats and works with us on treatment plans. He's open to reviewing the customer's research, too, which is rare in a vet. Sometimes a friend of a friend's vet has an idea he didn't think of yet, and he knows it's worth considering.

He's stayed after hours before to for urgent visits. His whole team is just the best!

Service is excellent. They were able to see my dog the same day. They followed up immediately with test results. We've been bringing our dogs here over 40 years.

The staff is very welcoming and professional. My dogs were greeted warmly and kindly. It was a great experience!

So glad I chose Shaker Heights Animal Hospital for Duke (cat)! The staff is great, efficient and caring. Vet Dr. Welsh and assistant Zoe took time to get to know Duke. Exam, shots and were stress free for him (even attending to a wound on his chest).

By the end of the visit, Duke was showing love to Zoe and Dr. Welsh. Home care followup (wound care, Antibiotic cream use and ear drop directions were clear and easy to do.

Everyone was amazing and really took the time to make sure my dog was comfortable and felt safe. Along with that, the facility is well maintained and is catered to animals which makes this vet that much more special.:)

The pricing is also very reasonable and shows that Dr. Welsh and his team truly are concerned with animals well being and not just making money.
