Shambaugh Cleaning & Restoration SAVED our hardwood floors from an unexpected dishwasher incident which we thought ruined our kitchen hardwood floors and left our kitchen subfloor and basement wet. Shambaugh put our stress to ease and were professional, informative, and trusted. Best of all, they have a dedicated and responsive team that was at my house same-day, within the hour. I'm truly grateful for all the efforts Shambaugh put into restoring my hardwood floors and drying our home over the four days. Jimmy and Daniel have a passion for customer service, attention to detail, and commitment to serving others is second to none. They understood our issue and were extremely patient answering all of our questions. I'm so glad we found Shambaugh Cleaning & Restoration — I highly recommend them for your restoration needs!

Was a really good company. Prices have gone up and service has gone down lately. Almost double the price of other cleaners and caught the worker not doing the full job. Too bad carpet one keeps recommending them.

My home flooded on 2/21/2023. The Shambaugh team was at my house within an hour and working to get it dried up. They were very professional and answered all my questions. They have been great at communicating on what needs to be the next steps. I would highly recommend them!

It would NOT be my recommendation that anyone should EVER use this company for any reason whatsoever. Unless you have thousands of dollars above and beyond the limits of your insurance coverage. I am going to be as detailed as possible in this review of the unprofessional and conniving practices of what is in my opinion, and the opinion of others, a fraudulent company. In March of 2021 my mother and I were involved in a horrendous house fire. The fire singed my eyelashes, eyebrows and mustache off. My mother escaped unharmed. Having never been through such an event in our lives, we were lost on what to do. Luckily a construction company was called in prior to Shambaugh’s getting involved. Had Shambaugh done the reconstruction of the home, all funds would have been depleted and the job site left completely unfinished as was the unfortunate circumstance of another of their customers, David B. In our case, Shambaugh was only given the personal property portion of our loss. We were advised by the owners wife Lori, that since both they and our insurance company use the SAME fair market pricing program called Xactimate, there “should” be nothing to worry about. That turned out to be an outright lie. National Vendor, a 3rd party company the insurance company hired to audit and rebuild Shambaugh’s estimate through Xactimate, found that Shambaugh, line by line, inflated the pricing to an excess of $12,540.26. The insurance company would not pay the inflated pricing and settled with Shambaugh the fair market pricing and submitted payment for that amount. After the settlement, Shambaugh began their campaign of multiple phone calls and emails threatening that if the $12,540.26 additional inflated charges were not paid, they would dispose of the personal property. After the construction company finished the house and we were given the ok to move back in, Shambaugh’s was contacted to return the personal property. They refused and again demanded to be paid 12,540.26. After many calls to the insurance adjuster, Shambaugh was advised that unless there was a supplement submitted for any addition work done on their part, they would not be receiving any more money based on the original claim. Low and behold, Shambaugh submitted a supplement for additional charges seemingly over night, and the $12,540.26 suddenly became $18,659.66. All in all, my mother received a certified letter a little more than one week ago from Shambaugh that stated if the inflated balance is not paid in full by 2-21-2023, all of her personal contents will be disposed of. Paying that kind of money is not an option for my 84 year old mother who had only a zero gravity lawn chair in a mostly empty house to sit in prior to contracting pneumonia and sustaining a collapsed lung just a couple months after returning home. This is the type of company that you are dealing with if you choose their services and you are risking either not being put back to pre loss conditions, or extorted for hundreds to even thousands of dollars. Save yourself the heartache and run as far from them as you possibly can! Needless to say, a lawsuit is being pursued.

Used for duct cleaning. Tabitha and Jon were on-time and very professional. They did a great job of educating me on the process, and they were extremely fair with the way they priced the job. I would highly recommend!

They provided Duct Cleaning services for us. We have been here over 10 years and not sure if ducts were ever cleaned. They arrived on time: they provided quality work and their staff was very helpful and explained what they were doing. I would recommend them for your duct cleaning project.

We had our furnace ducts clean and sanitized. They arrived on time, very professional and left everything clean. We would definitely use Shambaugh again. A big thank to Terry and Jonathan.

I had a clean water pipe break causing water to soak carpet and basement walls and ceiling. Shambaugh was called by my insurance agent and responded within a few hours and started clean up. Their work was good and not the issue. The issue is that they EXTREMELY OVER PRICED the invoice they sent to my insurance to over $18,000 for water cleanup and partial tear down. My insurance claims questioned the outrageous invoice and tried to negotiate with Shambaugh to no avail. Insurance then had me try to negotiate with Shambaugh, also to no avail. Even my contractor who rebuilt my basement afterwards also questioned the enormous bill. Water (fresh water not swage) cleanup was more than restoration which included materials and labor. Plus Shambaugh uses scare tactics to justify their costs by brining up MOLD and insurance won't pay for this if it's not completely dry (to Shambaugh's standards). Work was good but poor business practices makes me caution others in using Shambaugh. They also claimed they bring back the property back to what it was. They didn't they just dried the carpet some of the walls and tore some paneling down and left. Never to hear from them except for payment. Once they found out that a complaint was made the came off the price a little. I ended up sending them a check for the exact amount my insurance sent me just to get Shambaugh what they wanted. Photos showed how Shambaugh left my basement.

My carpet is 35 years old and has seen children raised and dogs and cate come and go. I've used Shambaugh from the beginning. Shambaugh, with their excellent cleaning and scotchguarding services, has kept it looking, if not "like new", at least very respectable looking. Downright shocking how good it continues to look. It is always a pleasure to deal with the company, from the real person who answers the phone to the guys who do the work -beginning with the dad, then the son, now courteous, efficient guys like Luke and Jonathan.

We were in need of immediate help after trying to clean our own carpets only to discover mold and mildew. Our daughter is asthmatic and the mold and mildew were causing her problems. We called Shambaugh and within a couple of hours Jerry was out to give us an estimate, Two hours later, Luke was in our home mitigating the damage. Luke was very professional and patient even when asked numerous questions. Our carpets look wonderful. I was amazed at how much dirt he got up with our just cleaning them. I would highly recommend.

Luke was very kind and helpful, answering any questions we had! Once he was finished, you couldn't even tell that any furniture had been moved!

I cannot say enough good things about this company! I thought my carpet was ruined and would need to just rip it out but they came and revived it! My carpet is 13 years old and it looks almost brand new! They were on time and professional, and it didn’t take very long either. I see that they provide other services and my husband I will be looking them up first for any upcoming projects.

There are not enough wonderful things to say about Shambaugh. Extremely professional and courteous. I had a horrible time with an insurance company and Shambaugh stood right beside me the whole way helping me with everything until it was completed! Call them and use them for all of your needs! The entire company is amazing!

Very professional, starting with the initial consultation through the entire cleaning process. Had the master bedroom, hallway, two sets of stairs and the family room carpets cleaned and very impressed with the work.

Shambaugh came to my mother's home to clean her ducts. They were late, they disrespectec her home, they had faulty equipment, they made a mess of her carpet, the ducts were not clean when they were dont and management would not return my phone calls after they said they would call me back. I would not recommend this business for duct cleaning. We were very disappointed with the entire experience!
