Shen's Szechuan & Sushi, Dayton OH

Great sushi, sizzling rice soup for two (except I usually keep it all for myself), entrees are fresh, atmosphere is far better than any other oriental/Asian cuisine restaurant around town.

Sushi is awesome and reasonably priced. I generally get my food to go as the few times I’ve chosen to dine in the service hasn’t been great. Staff seems confused and overwhelmed even with few customers in the restaurant. But the food more than makes up for it.

This restaurant is surely one of the most attractive restaurants in the neighborhood. Always when I come to this place I am so glad. They keep their high level service and the highest level of dishes they offer. You are always happy with this place. Warmly recommended.

My husband (who's name is Courtney) and/or I eat at this location at least once a week for lunch. Today (AFTER the server had already charged his card), she "alerted" her manager that because my husband's name is "different" that the manager should come to the table to physically check that his ID matched the card. #1) What did they expect to do after already running the card? ! Call the police if he did not have his ID? We are there literally EVERY week and this was just asinine. #2) The server was HORRID. Slovenly, slow, and unpleasant. #3) It is 2020. It is not good business practice ANYWHERE to single someone out because their name is "different"

This is the SERVICE industry, try to show a little tact and gratitude towards your regulars. We will not be back ever as a result.

Gem hidden from other restaurants. Food is outstanding. Top notch restaurant and service. Amazing taste. Hard to find.

Service was a bit slow during lunch, and the location was a little tough to find. Would gladly return next time im in the area, though.

Hit or miss. Some things are excellent but others not. In general their sushi is better than their cooked food. The crab Rangoon was surprisingly good though.

Food is delicious. Nice atmosphere. Friendly service and good prices. I had a delicious (large) soup and a sushi roll. It was great and I left feeling satisfied and feeling healthy.

Delicious food, friendly staff, and warm atmosphere makes this place a recurring visit for family dinners. Highly reccomend a visit if in need of a good meal.

Really good food! Party of 6 was handled with no problem. Everything was fresh, our orders came out right. No complaints.

Delicious high end Asian food at average prices. Huge portions and high quality protiens. We have been coming for years and drive 45 minutes worth every minute spent commuting.

Justin makes the whole place better! The food is excellent and he was the best server I've ever had.

I took my girlfriend here for a nice date and it was definitely amazing with a lot of food if your okay with the price

Great ambience, great service, huge parking lot & 4 star food. Our group was vegetarian and they made every effort possible to isolate our dishes from fish sauce etc. Their egg plant with garlic sauce was so good.

We just discovered this restaurant, and we loved it. The food was delicious and the specialty martinis were terrific. We'll be regulars now.

Exceptional, authentic Chinese food. Great service. Beer tap list isn't bad either! I had the lychee IPA and the Chinese eggplant with garlic sauce, and I heartily recommend both.

A hidden gem! They have great sushi and I also had their hot and sour soup which is very good. Some of the best sushi in Dayton for sure!

The place is past its prime but the food is still excellent and the staff is always friendly and accommodating with any special requests.
