I really love this place. I have pretty extreme anxiety issues (not just surrounding dentistry but in general) and put off going to the dentist for so many years that my teeth were terrible and I felt too embarrassed and hopeless to even start fixing it. A few years ago, I made my first appointment here and Dr. Shiflett and the staff were very understanding and didn’t make me feel judged about the state of my mouth. I’ve had very, very many appointments since then (and with their suggested endodontists and oral surgeons who also did great work) and can smile confidently again and not to have to worry about tooth pain. The dental work I’ve received has all been complication-free and held up very well. They have also been able to see me on very short notice for a couple emergencies, which I appreciated greatly. There might be cheaper options available in Columbus for emergency needs but if you need a consistent, kind and long term dentist whose work you can be confident in, I recommend this place strongly.

They are the best! They truly care about their patients the hygienist takes pride in making sure have healthy gums and teeth the EFDA is amazing, the front desk is so nice and the Doctor is the best he has great energy and you can't tell because you can feel the positive and happy energy when you walk in the office you won't regret coming to this office! So book your appointment now! Oh, and they play amazing music

Always super friendly but extremely professional staff. In my recent regular cleaning and X-rays, Dr. Shiflett identified two major issues that will be major problems if not addressed. Got me scheduled for upcoming necessary, albeit unpleasant, procedures. I highly recommend Dr Shiflett and his team!

Dr. Shiflett and his staff was amazing. From when I originally contacted their via email to the time I first came into their office everyone has treated me with so much kindness. I have always been fearful of dentist but what particularly brought me into their office that day was because of a bridge that broke. This bridge was only suppose to last 1-5 years max but it lasted 20 years. I work in a very social environment so imagine losing your teeth which in my line of business your smile is the first thing that greets people. Dr Shiftley understood this and although the problem was more severe then what could be done that day or even in the immediate future without being extremely costly, he came up with a fix that is cosmetically appealing and brought comfort to my already anxious situation. He understood my concerns and along with his dental hygenist Octavia they both walked me through everything they would do, make sure I understood what my care and treatment plan look like but made sure I understood this will be a process. Everyone I encounter that day, from front desk to everyone involve in my care.

I found Shiflett Family Dental online and called for an appointment last Friday. I spoke with Angela who was professional, pleasant and very helpful. I had a situation with pain in a tooth and she got me in on Monday. The office was conveniently located, which was a plus. The staff was friendly and proficient. Sage and Dr. Shiflett explained all of my options to me before deciding on a plan, never insisting on any procedures I didn't need (nor could afford) at that particular time, which is an issue I have had with other dentists. I ended up having 2 teeth pulled and other than the shots of Novocain, I didn't feel a thing. The 'after appointment' instructions were explained and clear, followed by paperwork that repeated the instructions. It was a positive, accommodating experience, (as dentist visits go) and I would highly recommend this business to anyone who asked.

I visited this practice my first time on 3/17/2023 and I will say they have been the best so far. Everything from the receptionist Angela out front to all assistants and Dentists in the back have been phenomenal. For my appointments I'd like to point out that Brittney and Sage and Dr Shiflett were amazing! I have had many bad experiences with other dentistries and I could see right off the bat the experience was going to be different. They weren't there to Sell anything but provide me with options and allowed me to be more involved with my plan of care. Very knowleadgeable and understanding. I would highly recommend them.
